Chapter 96: 96

Some nights, unable to sleep, you stare out the window of your room under the eaves, towards the mountains in the distance that shelter Glenkildove. Sometimes you think you see pale lights moving about up there, where the standing stones must be.

I think about Cormac. Somehow I know something terrible is coming for him, perhaps for us all.
I think about the caves. What really happened down there? Why does it seem as though nothing has been the same since?
I think about the Wolf's Head, this home my Aunt Maire has built, and how I depend on it.
