Chapter 22: Summoned by Achilobe
After everyone had their fill of wine and food, Kame Sennin turned to Renkai and made a request.
"Would you let my disciple Krillin practice with you?"
Krillin was a dedicated young martial artist, and Kame Sennin didn't want to hinder his growth.
"Of course!"
Renkai agreed without hesitation. The strongest man on Earth had personally entrusted his disciple to him—how could he refuse?
Once Krillin joined the group led by Renkai, he quickly became close with Little Goku and Yamcha.
Perhaps due to the natural flow of events, Krillin and Little Goku got along the best.
A few months passed.
Beep!
Son Goku: Power Level 5,500, 10x Kaio-ken: Power Level 55,000 Yamcha: Power Level 110 Krillin: Power Level 77
"Brother, I really want to fight a strong opponent! Where can I find one?"
Little Goku would often ask Renkai this, eager for a good battle.
"Where on Earth would you find someone who could match you? You're making things difficult for me, Goku," Renkai thought.
Just then, a system notification rang out in his mind.
Ding! Report: Someone has gathered the seven Dragon Balls and summoned the master.
"Goku, Yamcha, Krillin, keep training on your own. I have something to take care of."
After briefly speaking to Bulma, Renkai transformed into a golden beam of light and disappeared from Capsule Corporation.
The Summoning
The sky darkened as lightning crackled across the heavens. The atmosphere grew heavy, as if the world itself was trembling.
"Speak your wish."
As soon as the massive Dragon appeared, he addressed the three figures who had summoned him in a remote, barren mountain.
All three wore the same style of clothing.
The leader was an elderly man with a cold expression.
Beside him stood a tall man with three eyes.
The third was a small figure resembling a zombie.
Their identities were unmistakable.
"Crane Hermit, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu."
Renkai instantly recognized them.
"Shenron, tell me the whereabouts of my brother, Torudo!"
The Crane Hermit asked impatiently, eager for an answer.
Torudo, his younger brother, had disappeared more than a year ago—his fate unknown.
By sheer chance, Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu had obtained a three-star Dragon Ball while scamming people in remote villages. Using it to track the rest, they had successfully gathered all seven.
Renkai, recalling how he had crushed Torudo in battle, answered plainly:
"Torudo committed too many evil deeds and is now suffering in Hell."
"My brother... is dead?!"
The Crane Hermit was momentarily stunned before reality sank in.
"Your wish has been granted. Farewell."
With his duty fulfilled, Renkai prepared to leave.
He had gained something valuable from this encounter—the ability to use Bukujutsu (Flight).
While Torudo never learned it, the Crane Hermit and his disciples were skilled in this technique, making this summoning somewhat worthwhile.
"Wait, Shenron! I have another wish—I want my brother Torudo resurrected!"
Seeing the Dragon about to disappear, the Crane Hermit quickly made another request.
"This is a second wish. It does not comply with this Dragon's rules. Maybe next time."
Renkai raised a finger and shook it in refusal.
He gazed down at the three martial artists, waiting to see if they would turn against each other. If they did, he could activate his invincibility skill and seize their possessions.
Tien Shinhan's Solar Flare, Tri-Beam, and Chiaotzu's psychic abilities were still of interest to Renkai.
However, the moment never came.
"I understand," the Crane Hermit finally said after a long pause.
Seeing that there was no internal conflict, Renkai's massive dragon form dissolved into golden light, scattering the seven Dragon Balls across the world.
Tien Shinhan immediately tracked one of the balls with his three eyes and leaped into the air to seize it.
Renkai, meanwhile, had already returned to Capsule Corporation.
Expanding Across Time
"Tongzi, the seven Dragon Balls can only be used to summon me once every twelve months… and it's only on Earth. This feels so limiting."
Renkai voiced his frustration.
Ding! Based on the master's feedback, the system has now projected the seven Dragon Balls from this timeline into various parallel Dragon Ball worlds.
"Tongzi, explain in detail!"
Renkai was intrigued.
Bzzzt...
"So that's how it works?"
Essentially, his business had expanded across parallel Dragon Ball universes.
The system even targeted specific locations—meaning the Dragon Balls would not only appear on Earth but also on other planets and even in other universes!
A New Summoning
A few days later…
Ding! A parallel Dragon Ball timeline has gathered the seven Dragon Balls and summoned the master.
"So soon?!"
At that moment, Renkai was working in Dr. Brief's laboratory, helping fine-tune an instrument.
"Dr. Brief, I apologize, but I have urgent business to attend to."
Crawling out from under the machine, Renkai sincerely apologized to the scientist, who was sketching a blueprint.
"Renkai, go take care of it."
Dr. Brief, despite being strict, was reasonable.
After informing Bulma, Renkai once again vanished into golden light—this time, leaving his timeline entirely.
A Dying World
In this parallel Dragon Ball world, Earth had lost its former vitality.
Most of the land had turned into desolate wastelands, devoid of life.
A single tree stood tall, like a parasite draining the planet dry.
No… calling it a "tree" was an understatement. It was a colossal tower of destruction.
The moment Renkai was summoned, it was the first thing he noticed.
"What a massive tree!"
A voice below him expressed similar shock.
"So it actually worked… those mysterious Dragon Balls actually summoned the Dragon!"
Renkai looked down.
Standing in the abandoned town below was a short, plump man with a long katana at his waist.
Achilobe?
The Fairy Bean Killer!
In the original story, Achilobe would eat Senzu Beans like regular food. Because of him, the protagonist group often found themselves without Senzu Beans during crucial battles!
So… this was the one who had gathered the seven Dragon Balls?
As Renkai's gaze shifted back to the towering tree, he immediately recognized which timeline he had entered.
This was the world where Turles, a low-class Saiyan, had come to Earth to plant the Tree of Might.
The Tree of Might absorbed a planet's life force to grow and bear Fruit of Might—a mystical fruit that significantly increased power levels.
Turles had traveled the universe, planting these trees and consuming their fruit to grow stronger.
But to Renkai, the method was pathetically inefficient.
For all the planets Turles had drained and all the fruits he had eaten, he still only had a power level in the tens of thousands.
Meanwhile, Son Goku had grown far stronger just through training.
Instead of wasting time searching for planets to plant trees, Turles would've been better off finding a Gravity Chamber and training properly.
