Shinigami: Medicine Can't Save The Soul Reaper Society

Chapter 210: Chapter 211: A Unique Method of Spiritual Body Construction

Undoubtedly, Shinro Bansho had been thoroughly "mistreated" this time…

For most people, being tickled in the armpits for half an hour might be enough to leave them breathless. But for Shinro Bansho? It had been subjected to an entirely different level of torment as Makoto casually toyed with it in his pocket.

Makoto even held Shinro Bansho upside down by its little feet, swinging it back and forth, yet the zanpakutō spirit showed no signs of resistance.

Seeing this, Makoto's expression softened, a gentle, almost sorrowful look crossing his face as he spoke:

"Shinro Bansho, why won't you behave? Why insist on running away like a rebellious child? Look at yourself now—what do you expect me to do with you?"

With a sigh, Makoto licked his lips and continued:

"I guess there's no helping it. Shinro Bansho, since it's come to this, I might as well dissect you. I've always been curious about the spiritual structure of zanpakutō spirits."

His tone was almost tender, as if he were making a perfectly reasonable suggestion.

"Don't worry, Shinro Bansho. It's not like you'll die for real. Your body here is nothing but a manifestation created by Muramasa's power. After this, you'll return to the spiritual plane anyway."

No response came.

Makoto nodded, his face lighting up as if in approval:

"Ah, so Shinro Bansho does support its master after all. Once the dissection is over, I'll forgive you for running away this time."

Without further ado, Makoto's left hand held firm, while his right summoned intricate bindings of spiritual particles. The ropes wrapped around Shinro Bansho's limbs, tying it up in a fashion unmistakably inspired by a particular style popular in the Human World—one designed to render its subject entirely helpless.

With a casual motion, Makoto pressed Shinro Bansho against the table. Drawing his zanpakutō with his right hand, he pointed the blade's tip at the small spirit's abdomen with unsettling precision.

At that moment, the seemingly lifeless Shinro Bansho began trembling. Its limbs twitched weakly, and its teeth chattered uncontrollably.

As Makoto moved the blade closer, then farther, the trembling grew stronger and weaker in rhythm with his movements.

After a while of this teasing, Shinro Bansho finally realized it had been found out. Opening its eyes wide with pitiful innocence, it pleaded in a trembling voice:

"Master, I promise I won't do it again. Please forgive me!"

Makoto, still smiling, replied:

"Oh? It seems like Shinro Bansho hasn't fully recovered yet. Normally, you'd be yelling something like 'Perverted master!' around now."

"No, no! I'm fully recovered, I swear!" Shinro Bansho cried, desperation clear in its voice. "Didn't you notice I didn't even dare to fight back this whole time? My manifestation wasn't to rebel—I just wanted to show Master how important I am!"

"Hmm, that's true," Makoto said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Shinro Bansho is indeed very important to me."

Hearing this, a glimmer of hope appeared in Shinro Bansho's eyes. But before it could fully rejoice, Makoto continued:

"You're important experimental material, after all. Not only is the spiritual structure of zanpakutō spirits fascinating, but Muramasa's powers are particularly intriguing."

"His ability to manipulate zanpakutō spirits is akin to a form of hypnotic suggestion—amplifying the zanpakutō's desires and turning them against their masters. But that's not the most valuable part."

"What's truly groundbreaking," Makoto said, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm, "is Muramasa's ability to manifest zanpakutō spirits into physical forms. He creates spiritual bodies from nothing, allowing them to exist independently of their masters."

Shinro Bansho's eyes widened in terror as Makoto's expression turned increasingly fervent.

It was clear now—Makoto was planning to dissect it.

"Master, please! Don't dissect me! I'll never leave the spiritual plane again!" Shinro Bansho wailed, tears streaming down its face.

"Don't be scared," Makoto said gently, his voice almost like that of a doctor comforting a reluctant patient. "This isn't even your real body—just think of it as a bad dream."

"No! Absolutely not!" Shinro Bansho screamed, before suddenly perking up with an idea.

"Master, wait! Isn't Senbonzakura still around? It's so much bigger than me—you'll get a clearer view dissecting it!"

Makoto looked thoughtful but hesitant.

"Hmm, but without my zanpakutō abilities, I'm not confident I could handle Senbonzakura."

"Don't worry, Master!" Shinro Bansho said eagerly. "I'll capture Senbonzakura and bring it to you myself!"

"Really? You're sure it won't be too much trouble for you?" Makoto asked with feigned concern.

"Not at all! It's no trouble at all!" Shinro Bansho assured him, nodding fervently.

Makoto considered for a moment before smiling warmly.

"Alright, then. As your ever-kind master, I'll give you this chance to prove yourself."

"Thank you, Master…" Shinro Bansho replied weakly.

As Makoto released his grip, Shinro Bansho darted towards the window like it was fleeing for its life.

"Don't forget," Makoto called after it, holding up three fingers. "You have three days."

From outside the window, Shinro Bansho poked its head back in, stuck out its tongue, and retorted:

"Got it, got it! You're so mean, Master!"

Watching Shinro Bansho disappear into the distance, Makoto's gaze turned contemplative. The sensation he'd felt earlier when probing its spiritual structure lingered in his mind.

"What an unexpected discovery…"

"A unique method of spiritual body construction—not anchored by a soul but built around the zanpakutō spirit's consciousness as the core."

"If this method can be fully understood, it could pave the way for an entirely new system of spiritual body creation."

For someone whose spiritual body was flawed due to being tied to their soul, reconstructing it around their consciousness could be the perfect solution.

And more importantly, Makoto had verified firsthand that this method was exceptionally stable through Shinro Bansho.

"Fascinating… truly fascinating…"
