Shotaro: journey of a hero that kept moving forward

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Garm.

"Hell nah, that sounded so cheesy" Halasar said grawning as he ocked out due to how corny that line was.

"It was" Shotaro said, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment, "Sorry'bout that".

"Don't worry" The old man reassures him, "But I guess we're forgetting something" He points at the direction where Garm was, only She wasn't there.

"What the fuck" Shotaro said as he runs towards the horde of cubs, as one of them saw an injured tall man running towards them, immediately attacked him with an absolute zero canon, but Shotaro dodges that easily, considering the cubs aren't near their mother's might, but they still tried to tackle him, bit him…only then Shotaro Mugyiwara knew they were protecting something...or someone.

He made his way through them…as Alakshmi, the katana on his waist, does the same burst thing it does, sending the wolves away, only then the red eyed one saw the sight, the ever baffling one...it was a woman, naked, laying defeated & battered, her body being full of scars, her also looking like a middle-aged woman, still beautiful, her hair was silver, her nipples blacked, there was a huge wound at the side of her ribs, looks fresh, she's having a long wolf like tale, & ears too, although one was cut in half.

"The fuck?" Shotaro said as he struggled to move past the reformed layer of great wolf cubs, still baffled at the sight of the woman, "Hey old guy, the queen of great wolves un-great wolfed".

"FuFuFu you still have much to learn her" Halasar said wisely as he chuckles, "It's only natural knowledge that three Legendary beasts like The great wolves, the ancient dragons & the divine apes, have the ability to shape-shift into humans".

"You still have much to learn about this world, hero".

Shotaro tried to touch the sleeping Garm only for his arm to be bitten by one cub, the one with red eyes.

Shotaro doesn't flinch, he just endured way painful shit by their mother in their recent battle, not much duel in his case, but still.

But Alakshmi, this time, doesn't immediately try to murder them cubs, as Shotaro just looks them in the eye & pleads.

"I am not going to hurt your mother"

"even if she tried to eat me up like a damn sushi" He says.

Seeing the tired but soothing tone of his crimson eyes, they let him go as he picks her up.

"Grab the chief too" He said to the villager, as one asked, "What are you going to do with her".

"Her?" Shotaro said, "Heal her ofcoarce, maybe try my best doing so even".

"Are you acoustic?" One villager asked, "She is unconscious, we must kill her now".

"Yes we must"

"Kill the beast" the villagers roared & declare until Shotaro gave them the meanest death stare.

"NO!!" He declared, "This battle has already separated one parent & child, I wouldn't want another to happen".

Knowing that the valley on their side is literally happened because he swung his sword, also knowing they shouldn't mess with the man so tired & fucked up inside, cause of the death of his friend & risk sending him to edge, the finally, sat the fuck down.

But the fallen queen, in his arm, was in her on adventure…or exploring an old one in her mind.

Long ago, at least some million years ago, where humanity didn't evolve much, Homo Elvans didn't branch off.

It was a land where gods roamed the land still, roamed the three races of legendary beasts.

The ancient dragons, created by The Goddess, the goddess of sky Nomolos, to save the sky from upcoming forces of ancient ones upon Queen Marafyre's orders by mixing in earth that never moves, fire that never extinguish, the sky that never darkens & the water that never pollutes into a big cosmic forge, creating eggs.

The divine monkeys, created by Gods of rocks & wisdom, Parvat by manifesting his hair strands into anthomorphic monkeys because he was upset about how dumb everything mortal was.

Finally, The great wolves were created, as the guardian races of Forrest, by The Forrest Goddess Aranior, they came from her belly button, initially as eggs, originating from her fertile womb & the magical energy it stored inside.

The dragons were given the sky & the seas. Branching & evolving into Leviathans, Drakes, Dreamfyres later on.

The Monkeys were given caves & mountains, where they once vanished long ago.

The Great wolves were handed the authority of Forrest, as the guardians of their own mother.

One such Forrest, The river of Aerion flows through, the river said to have no origins, no one knowing where it comes from.

Stood beside was a young great wolf, a high blood one, a wolfing, named Garm.

"No matter how much I follow, no matter how much I run, how fast I do" She said pouting, "in my true form or false" she kicks a rock, "I can't find the originating point of this river before moon fall".

"That's because this river isn't from here, dumbass" a voice came, behind here, stood another wolfling, her age, fishing.

"Hmpst" She snuffled, "& how would you know".

"Because I don't go back when the fall comes" The wolf said, "I once kept running until I found a sea".

"You ran days?" Garm said, "Didn't your parents get angry when you don't come for moon fall".

"I don't have parents" he replied, "Not the usual ones"

"What do you mean" She said intrigued.

"My name is Fenrir, the bastard wolf of the god of mischief, Ikol"

"Loki?" She said annoyed, "You mean that jerk of a god".

"Hey" Fenrir said offended, "He is still my father".

"opps" Garm said rubbing the back of her, "Sorry about that".

But her expression changed, as, for giving a sign of friendship, she goes her full form, to talk with him.

"So what happened with your father"

"He turned into a wolf, woo'ed my mother, & boom I ripped into life out of her belly" Fenrir said.

"Damn that's crazy" Garm said surprised, "& what he got from that?".

"Shits & giggles" Fenrir said, "& that makes it even more fucked up".

"That's rough buddy" Garm said as Fenrir's wolf ears stood up.

"Was that a reference?" Fenrir asked.

"Uhh what?" Garm said.

"So, what about you?" Fenrir asked, passing her one of his fishes.

"Me" Garm said, "Not much, my father is the alpha of my pack, & well, he has many...mates, I am one of my 20 siblings, & the most non-important one".

"Well" Fenrir looked at her, as if asking her to continue.

"But my mother is great though" She snarled, "Great for a, quote, Low ranked mate".

"But I do love her" She admits, "More than anything".

"Well that's good to hear" Fenrir said as their tails tangled.

"Would you like to go one an adventure?" He asked.

"An adventure?" Garm said, "What adventure?".

"To find the garden of Aerion, to meet the goddess of the river herself" Fenrir said.

Garm was excited, "really?" but her face fell with her years, "But I don't think I can leave my mother alone, without me, she gets the last turn to eat in the pack, I don't think I can leave her alone".

"Well" Fenrir said, "That's a shame".

"I will leave the with sunrise, tomorrow" Fenrir said, "if you change your decision, you can meet me here".

Garm went back to her pack, where she saw her mother, who licked her head in love until she sniffed an unknown scent from her fur.

"Getting new friends are we?" She cheekily teased, "Or my dear little wolfling already got a mate"?.

"What?" Garm said, her ears standing up in fluster, "no, it's nothing like that mother. Where you even got that idea".

"Well your reaction proves that it was a boy" She said, "Aww my lil baby growing up".

She licked more, as Garm said "Stop it mum".

But then suddenly Garm said something that came out of her, "Hey mother, can I go out on an adventure tomorrow morning?" until she stops, "Wait mother I don't know why I said that".

"What?" The mother wolf, Umilla said but suddenly, she agrees, "yeah of course you can".

"Wait seriously" Garm said as her eyes twinkled.

"Yeah, there is nothing much here in this pack for you anyway, you may find your own life outside" She said as she.

"But I still have you in the pack" Garm pleaded.

"I love you Garm" Umila said, "But there are things I can't give you, actually, there isn't really anything I can give you here, you have to earn some of them".

Seeing her child's saddened face, she said, "but the things I give you, my eternal blessing, & everlasting love, I give you all of it, forever".

"So when you look back at your back, in your journey, imagine me being there, supporting you from away"

"You must go, my child".

"Make your destiny".

& Garm, being tearful, snuggled into the great wolf's chest one last time before running into the horizon, to meet Fenrir at the river.

Umila, finally breaking into tears, as she pukes blood, "my lil baby, it hurts me so much to let you go so close to my demise, but I mustn't let you see my end, as much as it hurts me, as much it hurts you, you will never see your mother succumb to her illness".

At the river, Fenrir, in true form as waiting, until he heard a howl, from a distance, he saw her, Garm running towards him.

"I know you would have come" Fenrir said, "Come one, we have a river to chase".

"Yes" Garm said holding back tears.

Thus began a decade long journey, following river Aeron, they ventured, met the dragons, met the gods, even met Aranior, who tried to over them breast milk of hers, but they denied, they grew, they fought & survived, they fell, & at the end, they reached their destination.

Where the goddess of river, Aerion, laid inside a tree, seemingly being the origin of the river, she had sapphire blue eyes, her body being as pale as salt, her nipples being cyan, while her motherly body laid down the tree, she looked at them.

"We have finally reached" Garm whispered.

"Yeah we did" Fenrir said.

"I have long waited for you" Aeron said.

"You did?" Garm said surprised.

"Rivers are oldest story tellers, they always exist, never stop their wake, as they flew through lands, through civilisation, to ages, flooding away precious memories, & Great stories with them, many stories end, but river..they keep flowing" Aeron said in a wise motherly tone.

"You two have great stories" Aeron quoted, "But you two are too early".

"What do you mean" Garm said.

Aeron stood up, out of the pond she was in, walking towards the two young wolves.

"You will come here again" She said, "But with a third one".

"Who?" Fenrir said.

The goddess of rivers only uttered one phrase, "The savior that is promised".

"w-What!!?" Garm gasped in shock.

"You two, many ages from now, will encounter a man of great tragedies, as silver as moon his hair will be, as red as blood his eyes, skin be of his, the tone of sand near the seas, stature of his will be mountanious, & on his waist will be a cursed sword of misfortune, as the hero of saving will endure great cruelties of fate, losing over & over again, but his story would be the greatest the rivers will ever witness, for his will be the journey of a hero that kept moving forward", she says as she reveals a rough sketch of a humanoid with the said features.

"There will be a hero" fenrir said.

"The one who librates the world" Garm continues.

Aeron said, "Now go back to your home, for a great tragedy is waiting there".

"What?" Garm said as she & Fenrir was teleported in back to the forrest.

"Well that was not so cinematic homecoming after a decade" Fenrir joked but Garm was repeating the phropecy, "For his will be the journey of the hero that kept moving forward".

"Stop it Garm we still have shit tons of eons to worry about that" Fenrir said until tey both smelled the fragrance of decaying flesh.

Garm ran & ran & ran until she saw it, it can't be a mistake. no it isn't some lookalike.

She saw a dead corpse of Umila, "Mother" She cried as she ran towards the corpse only to be bombarded by the sight of rats, maggots, insects, criters, already having hollowed the carcuss, it was a great loss, one so big it caused her a mental breakdown, making her switch back & forth into her humanoid form & true form, until she was left, an elderitch mass between man & beast, Fenrir seeing that uses his great wolf magic to release her mental anguis temporarly, as she goes full human, as if to save energy after the shit-fuck that just happened.

The wolf howled & wailed for hours, no one came, & Fenrir just sat, not knowing how to give her a shoulder, but the wails were answered with a loud howl, as the alpha of the pack, Garm's own Father, Parm came into scene, as a look of disdain reflected into his beastly eyes.

"Oh you're still alive after all this years" He said.

But Garm was busy wailing on her mother's giant, respective of her humanoid form carcuss.

"That thing died just some weeks ago" Parm casually stated not even bother to call his mate by her name, why would he do that?, it was a low level filth he conquerod from some other pack's alpha, "We didn't gave food cause why waste it on an already dying hag?".

Only then a burst of energy released through Garm as she turned back into true form, the air began to harden, the moisture liquified then freezed, it was a rage, of a grieving daughter, a really angry one at that.

"YOU WOLF PEICE OF SHIT" she shouted, "I will murder you".

That's it, she gave her father what he wanted, a reason to kill her.

"Eat shit & die you lik brat" Parm activated his ultra magnum volcano canon, only for Garm to be stoped by Fenrir, "Stop it Garm", He came infront of the Alpha, "Give me few years, I swear I will kill you for her".

"Really?" Parm said, "&Who are you to that bastard wolfling of mine?".

"I" Fenrir said, "Am her alpha"

Parm had his rage flicker as he looked at the young wolf, "Ok, I give you some ages, but I will have the fight before I enter my old age, still in my prime".

& it began, the two wolf standing in rain, Garm looking at Fenrir, "Dude that was actually kinda cringe & cheesy thing to say to my father, not gonna lie".

Fenrir, in embarrased tone said, "Well IDK, it just came out of my mouth, OK?".

the rain hardens, as Garm's body, not having much strenght due to her previous crash-out, resorts into going back to humanoid form, "Tch, damn it" She said.

"Must be hard for you to stand on two legs" Fenrir mocked, "Well its like I will have to learn to stand on my two legs too, considering your father's gonna rip the front ones out".

"Hey" Garm said, "Decades of journey, years of fighting together, ages of survival, & one moment long cringy one liner infront of my father, you never showed me your..humanoid form".

"I..well" Fenrir tried to explain, "I don't think you will like me, when I am not in my true form".

Garm, standing on her legs, barely wabbled towards the great wolf, grabing his head, placing a kiss on his wolf lips, "There is no version of you, I won't adore with my life" She said, carrasing his fur, "For you are, My alpha".

"Now you're being cheesy" Fenrir said before hesitatingly switching to human form, as his body glowed & tranformed.

Infront of her, stood a man, she never saw, but also the one, she can't comphrehend the beuty off, long grazing grey hair, all over his back, green eyes, tall, muscular, handsome.

"Oh my god" She said breathing hardly, "Is the feeling of moisture between my legs, from rain or what?" she fells to ground.

"Was that a compliment, thank you" Fenrir said shyly.

& they made love, both in human & true form inside a cave, so much it caused a mini earthquake & a steam cloud to form.

She wook up in his arms, safe & satisfied, but the story was'nt over, it can't be far from it, some decades later, Fenrir presents his mate, the burned head of her father, as she can't help but jump in excitment, Fenrir goes, with his half good genes, unites all packs of the great wolves & becomes, The king of the great wolves with Garm, his queen.

His reign grew posper & just under his rule, the wolves dominated, even in the lands of the ancient dragons & divine monkeys, but seeing the above orders fuckery, he decided to revolt against his creators, which led to Marafyre signing the death sentance of the kind, Canal, one of order's great knight, let an genocide against the wolves, by uniting the monkeys & the dragons, with the propoganda of great wolves being invasive.

The now pregnant Great wolf, Garm, who grown into a great queen, were roaming here & there, in her royal cave, "Fenrir, please come back, you have too" She said in horror until, a wounded dog, with both eyes ruptured, both ears cut, declawed, barged into her room.

"Bigdawg" Garm said, "Who did this to you".

"They" Bigdawg said in pain, "They wanted to send a message, "What fucking message" Garm asked.

"Fenrir, our king, has been sealed into a stone, we lost the battle at Mt. Greystone" He said before dying, "I always will be greatfull to the gods, for they let me, a bastard wolfling serve the greatest this kind will ever see".

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Garm cried, "FENRIR!!!!" her belly ached, "BIGDAWWWWWWG!!" she cried, before she heard the horns of war, & the drums of doom, she saw an horde of divine monkeys marching towards her cave, so she took the secret passage & escaped, using her powers to destroy the cave from inside, she knew even with Fenrir gone, she need to live, for her cubs, the one in her belly, so she ran, until the great forrest of Aranior, where the ever loving goddess, gave her protection, in her woods, The mother of all life, that she was, Aranior destroyed the army with ease, before Marafyre herself came, as strong as she was, she can't compete with the absolute, so they negociated, Garm was sealed within the border of the forrest, where she laid her eggs, & the rest is history.

until the day, she saw it, she saw him, a man, whose ally she chomped in half, awakening, than she remembered the phropecy, the hero of saving, was it actually him, seeing him broke her time freezing chill, even if she herself was with way more disadvantage, she knew it was him, the one Aerion talked about, so she vollutarily holded back even after so many disadvantages she was already in, testing that if he Shotaro was really the saviour that is promised, & she was 90% sure, when saw it, Alakshmi, the cursed sword of misfortune, the katana that only brings tragedy, being used against her, creating a valley in it's one swing, where she laid defeated, was it really the hero?, but she was supposed to meet him with fenrir, & Fenrir is gone, so how?, she was thinking as she laid defeated, she heard some commotions, demanding her death & a precense, stoping the said commotion, she felt it pick her up in humanoid form, was it really a hero.

Garm was lying on a bed untill she woke up

She saw Shotaro standing infront of her.

"Hey" Shotaro said.

"You snore a lot when sleeping".
