Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 648: 647: Maledro's Gu

Corey's plan was to not just bond with the Gu Insects like his Master would have done.

Although his Master was a talented Poison Master, his view of the path of power was extremely limited.

Corey knew of the Paragon Ancestor and the Supreme Ancestor who were at the peak of power.

His goal was to reach this peak, and in respect to his Master, he wanted to make his Master's dying gift to have the potential to reach the peak of power.

Most would call Corey crazy and mad for even daring to have such thoughts. He had no idea what the abilities of Tier 7s and above were, and he had no idea just how vast the difference between the Paragon Ancestor and Immortals were.

He knew none of these, but one thing he did know was that inside of him was an object that was desired and possessed by both the Paragon Ancestor and the Supreme Ancestor.

Infinity Crystals

With his numerous Stars of Consciousness, a somewhat crazy and dangerous idea appeared in his mind.

He was planning on fusing the Gu Insects into his Poison Infinity Crystal so that the Gu Insects could develop traits of the Poison Infinity Crystal and their potential would be as infinite as that of the Poison Infinity Crystal.

Doing this might seem simple and without risk at all, but it was risky.

However, it was not risky for him or the Poison Infinity Crystal but for the Gu Insects themselves.

Fusing with the Poison Infinity Crystal would require the Gu Insects to enter the Poison Infinity Crystal, and then they'll have to survive till they're able to adapt to the nature of the Infinity Crystal.

The danger in doing this is that there was a possibility of every single Gu Insects dying to the nature of the Poison Infinity Crystal.

Corey needed just a single Gu Insect to be able to adapt to the nature of the Poison Infinity Crystal.

However, the longer Corey observed the Gu Insects try to enter his Poison Infinity Crystal, the more doubt he began to feel towards the chances of his plans coming to fruition.

'I won't be able to face Master if I end up killing every single Gu Insect.'

Corey thought with a slight twitch of his lips. Three seconds passed, and Corey's expression changed slightly when he realized that he was going to fail if he kept on continuing in such a manner.

He controlled the Gu Insects, and instead of rushing into the Poison Infinity Crystal, Corey made them to slowly approach the Poison Infinity Crystal.

Tens of Gu Insects would slowly approach the Poison Infinity Crystal, but the closer the Gu Insects reached the Poison Infinity Crystal, they would die and be consumed by the Poison Infinity Crystal.

Corey knew that if he took his time, maybe days, weeks, or even months, he would be able to fuse the Gu Insects with his Poison Infinity Crystal.

However, he did not have the time to do such a thing.

The rate at which the Gu Insects died decreased slightly but they were still dying.

Corey observed everything through his Eyes of Omniscience.

He could use his Poison Manipulation to help the Gu Insects survive longer, but Corey knew that doing this would not be a good thing because he wanted the Gu Insects to survive and adapt on their own.

He just hoped that the creation of his Master would not disappoint him.

Thirty minutes passed, and less than a quarter of the Gu Insects was still remaining. Corey furrowed his brows slightly when he saw the quantity of Gu Insects that was left.

Although the Gu Insects could reproduce fast enough if given enough food and resources, Corey was beginning to wonder if it was worth it to continue pushing the Gu Insects.

He was not seeing any progress and he was about to command the Gu Insects to stop, however, he suddenly recalled his Master's words.

"Second, don't abandon the path of poison. It has so much potential and if you ever want to abandon it, don't... For my sake at least."

Although if he decided to stop the Gu Insects from approaching his Poison Infinity Crystal, it does not necessarily mean that he's abandoning the path of poison, however, he felt like he would letting his Master down in a way.

Corey exhaled deeply, and then a determined expression appeared on his face.

"I'll go on till the last Gu."

Without hesitation, Corey commanded the Gu Insects to keep on approaching his Poison Infinity Crystal.

Just like before there was no progress, and as time went on, the number of Gu Insects that was left was barely up to a hundred.

However, Corey did not stop.

The Gu Insects kept on approaching the Poison Infinity Crystal and Corey noticed a small change in the remaining Gu Insects.

It was a subtle shade of black that was appearing on different parts of their bodies, and the with the appearance of these black spots, the Gu Insects lasted longer in the Poison Infinity Crystal.

From a hundred to fifty.

From fifty to thirty five.

From thirty five to twenty.

From twenty to twelve.

From twelve to eight.

And from eight to five.

The moment the number of Gu Insects was not more than five, Corey's expression was extremely focused as he gazed at the five Gu Insects.

These five Gu Insects were currently staying inside the Poison Infinity Crystal, and they've been staying for more than fifteen minutes without moving.

These Gu Insects are the ones that have survived the longest in the Poison Infinity Crystal and Corey kept on watching them without blinking.

Another five minutes went by, and then two of the Gu Insects died at the same time.

Corey's expression remained the same, and he continued observing the last three Gu Insects.

He was not surprised by the death of the two Gu Insects because he already knew that they were going to die.

Through his Eyes of Omniscience, he could see the changes that were occurring in their bodies.

Corey kept on staring at the last three Gu Insects, and then, an hour and five minutes passed and Corey's expression changed to one of relief, satisfaction, and joy.

The last three Gu Insects began to change.

Two more scorpion tails appeared on their backs, and the three tails were completely black. An extremely dense black fog came out from their bodies, and Corey instantly knew that the Gu Insects had stabilized and fused with his Poison Infinity Crystal.

Corey smiled widely with joy as he stared at the Gu Insects, and then he said.

"Since you guys already have the potential to reach the peak of power, I have to give you guys a name. I can't just keep on calling you, Gu or Gu Insects."

Corey paused, and then a slightly sad smile appeared on his lips.

"In honour of my Master, I'm going to call you guys, Maledro's Gu."
