Skill Maker in a Game Like World

Chapter 5: Drastic Increase

He wanted to go to the Primordial World now, so he wore that uniform which was actually cold enough on the body to give a comfortable sensation.

When he layered it with ordinary long-sleeved clothes coupled with shoes, the existence of the fresham was almost invisible.

It was so elastic that he did not feel like his movements would be disturbed.

After that, he finally opened the glass case, grabbing the knife handle inside.

When actually holding it, he finally felt a clear connection with the knife.

It was as if it had become a part of him. Although it was not to the extent that he could move it with just his mind, but his mind could summon the power hidden within it.

Buzz!

He summoned that power, causing the knife to emit a blue light which then formed a longer blade until it became the size of a sword.

It was very light, but when he moved it, there was a tearing sound in the air.

"So this is how to use it..." Enzo nodded with a satisfied expression and restored the power of the knife as he didn't want to waste his energy.

It relied on Primordial Energy and could run out.

When it ran out, he would need to replenish it himself either with his own Primordial Energy or by relying on external things.

"Now that I'm fully prepared..." He was filled with high spirits and curiosity towards the Primordial World.

With the opening of his palm, a portal to that world appeared, expanding to the size of his body.

It rotated slowly, emitting a faint suction force, as if inviting someone to enter into it.

Enzo took a step into it, instantly feeling the sensation of a different space and then his vision darkened.

(DING!)

(Welcome to the Primordial World, Enzo Moonvale.)

There was a sudden notification from his status panel followed by the appearance of light in front of him, clarifying his vision until he could finally see the surrounding scenery.

The first thing he saw were giant mountains in the distance whose peaks were not clearly visible due to how high they were that they were covered by the clouds in the sky.

The world seemed much wider than on earth, something that was very obvious to Enzo since the sky in every direction was so far away in his eyes.

The Primordial World was indeed as amazing as he had heard. The air was so fresh, smooth, and plentiful that breathing once gave him the sensation of breathing ten times.

He thought that after taking one breath, he could last without breathing for up to 3 minutes.

Only, the place where he appeared instantly made him uncomfortable.

He was standing on a pile of grass in a swamp that was so vast that he couldn't see the end of it at all.

This swamp might not be very deep, but it was overgrown with tall grass.

This was not a place he expected to appear. Besides moving being more difficult, there were probably many unseen monsters under this swamp.

When he thought about monsters, he suddenly suspected something.

Shua!

He stabbed the knife in his hand into the pile of grass he stepped on.

Even he released the power of the knife after it stuck in the pile of grass.

Right after that, the pile of grass suddenly lifted up, revealing its original, larger size.

When it was shaken, Enzo was thrown back hard enough that his hand slipped from the knife that was still stuck in the pile of grass.

No, it was not a pile of grass, but a human-like figure covered by grass that was twice the size of a human.

"Aghhhhh!!!" The figure screamed hoarsely, seemingly in pain with its back twisted while its legs staggered backwards towards Enzo who was behind it.

DING!

(Level 5 Swamp Zombie!)

Enzo received a notification that surprised him quite a bit.

Level 5 was naturally not a low level for a beginner who had just entered the Primordial World.

Although Awakeners didn't have levels, compared to monsters, statistically speaking, a Level 5 Monster was basically equivalent to an Awakener whose one attribute had 50 Points.

Monsters like this were practically extremely dangerous to Enzo. Fortunately, he realized early and made the first attack while the Swamp Zombie was still waiting to attack him.

When he saw the zombie staggering towards him, he instantly summoned his claw and stabbed it into the zombie's back.

This was his only chance to kill a Level 5 monster quickly. How could he possibly miss it.

Who knew how much attribute points he would receive if he killed this Swamp Zombie.

Xiu!

His claw easily pierced through the zombie's back, causing its back to arch forward while it screamed even louder.

Crack!

When he moved the claw, the zombie's back was finally torn quite wide.

He then kicked it while grabbing his knife.

"I hope I won't have any bad luck," he said as the zombie staggered forward.

The wound on its back was not bleeding, but it had obviously weakened its strength drastically.

It turned towards him but still staggered.

Even the front of its body was very hard to distinguish from the back as they were both covered in grass.

Its face was also unclear.

The only thing that was clear was its pair of red eyes that looked full of rage but dimmed rapidly indicating that it could not hold on any longer.

BANG!

It fell into the swamp and half of its body was submerged.

DING!

(You successfully killed a Level 5 Swamp Zombie, you get 50 Attribute Points!)

A notification appeared followed by another.

(Attribute Points: 50)

(You can distribute your Attribute Points to the attributes you want!)

Enzo couldn't help but be surprised at the number of Attribute Points he had gotten.

There was no exact number of Attribute Points that Awakeners would get after killing monsters. It was said that the highest was equivalent to the Highest Attribute Point of the monster they killed while the lowest was 1 Attribute Point or no points at all. It all depends on the power distance between the Awakeners and the monster they killed.

The distance between Enzo and the Swamp Zombie was naturally very long so he got the maximum result.

After all, if Awakeners had levels, Enzo now couldn't even be considered to be at Level 1.

Excitedly, he distributed all his Attribute Points that he had already planned before he came to this world.

He added 5 Points for Vitality and Stamina, then 20 Points for Intelligence and Primordial Energy.

According to the information he read, Vitality and Stamina were considered so important that they should be given Attribute Points constantly even if they were not the most.

Stamina determined how long one could fight while Vitality determined how quickly one recovered from fatigue or injury.

Then there is Intelligence which is considered the most important for all Awakeners because the higher the Intelligence, the easier it is for them to master skills, and for Enzo, Intelligence is the determinant of how powerful skills he can create.

However, instead of choosing Strength, Defense, or Agility, he added all of his remaining Attribute Points to Primordial Energy.

The four attributes have their own skill types required to unleash a skill.

However, the first three were physical-based while the skill of Primordial Energy was an energy-based skill to generate various elements where the abilities of those elements could include attack, defense, and speed.

Since the abilities of Primordial Energy included all three, it was clear that it was superior to the other three attributes.

However, the skills of Primordial Energy tended to be difficult to find and also difficult to master. Even most of the skills of Primordial Energy that have been discovered are not skills for attack, defense, or speed, but support skills for other Awakeners such as healing, buffs, and the like.

However, Enzo had the ability to create his own skills with his imagination. The problem of other people having trouble finding skills from Primordial Energy and mastering them was not a problem for him.

That was the reason why he preferred Primordial Energy over the other three attributes even though the first skill he made relied on strength.
