Chapter 7: Increase Again
"This feeling..."
Enzo was immediately surprised after he merged with the six skills.
He had a feeling like he was connected to the world through some of its elements that seemed to be part of him.
Since they became part of him, controlling them to him would be no different from controlling his own hands and feet.
His eyes gazed at a cup filled with water.
With just his thoughts, he managed to make the water inside the cup move and float in the air.
Even the surrounding wind he could gather to envelop him.
The existence of the ground beneath the floor of his room felt very clear to him. If he wanted to, he could actually make the ground lift up.
In his hand, there was still one Skill Book, the Aqua Stride.
He placed it under his mattress and dried the sweat on his forehead while breathing in to improve his focus.
Although somewhat exhausted, he still wanted to return to the Primordial World soon and he felt he was safe enough with the many skills he had.
Swish!
He summoned his portal again, stepping into it without any hesitation at all.
The first time to the Primordial World, the Awakeners appeared randomly, but the second time, they would appear where they left the previous time.
The sky still looked the same when Enzo reappeared in the vast swamp.
By activating Aqua Stride, his feet could actually stand on the water of the swamp as if he were standing on the ground.
"Mm, what happened?" He narrowed his eyes, becoming alarmed as he discovered that the corpse of the Swamp Zombie he had killed had disintegrated.
It had lost its flesh, leaving only its grass that looked dismembered.
A monster had likely just eaten the corpse.
Before the unexpected happened, he pushed the water under his feet upwards which also pushed his body upwards since he was standing on that water.
Splash!
Suddenly a huge crocodile lunged at him from behind the swampy bushes.
Its size surprised him. It was probably up to seven meters long with a width of about two meters where its mouth looked like it could swallow him whole.
It was a dark yellow color that resembled soil and from its throat came a terrifying guttural roar.
Its mouth parted the water which it controlled so that the water swayed which made it lose its balance.
DING!
(Level 6 Swamp Crocodile!)
Seeing the level of the crocodile, Enzo immediately became serious.
A monster of this level, and it was a crocodile definitely had very tough skin, killing it would not be easy and avoiding it was equally difficult.
He checked his knife and then gathered wind into the knife.
When the knife's power activated and fused with the wind he gathered, it trembled as if it was gaining life.
From the start the knife did have an affinity with the wind element and could absorb it to become sharper.
Enzo had seen someone who used this trick to pierce through 30 cm thick steel.
With the crocodile directly below him, he threw the knife at the crocodile.
Whoosh!
The knife instantly traveled at high speed with the wind behind it.
Even Enzo's eyes couldn't see the knife anymore because of how fast it was.
Xiu!
The knife managed to hit the crocodile's back, instantly penetrating it but stopping when half the handle sank.
It did not penetrate into its stomach.
Perhaps the flesh of the crocodile itself was as hard as steel.
Of course, being penetrated by the knife still caused the crocodile pain, as its back arched downward, indicating that it was enduring pain.
However, it suddenly swung its long tail upwards.
To his surprise, the tail suddenly extended so that it would not reach him in the first place.
In a panic, he used the wind that he had originally gathered around him to push him.
Whoosh!
The push of the wind was stronger than he expected.
He was thrown twenty meters away, falling among the tall grass while the crocodile swam quickly towards him even as its back began to spurt blood.
"Up!"
He shouted in response, controlling the ground beneath the swamp.
Instantly, the ground surged upwards, pushing the crocodile so suddenly that its huge body was flung into the air.
Despite having no combat experience, with the many skills he possessed, Enzo always came up with ideas to overcome any danger that came his way.
It was probably because his Intelligence as an Awakener was much higher than ordinary people that he could think of solutions as long as his skills could actually help him.
When the crocodile was high enough in the air, he collected a large amount of water and then compressed it so that the water appeared to shrink but the pressure actually increased dramatically.
Over time, it formed a spear that rotated endlessly like a drill bit.
"I think this will work," he said as his breath began to catch.
Compared to his previous actions, this time was very draining on his Stamina and Primordial Energy, so his strength was not in doubt.
Whoosh!
He sent the water spear at the crocodile as it began to fall from the air at high speed.
Shua!
The water spear hit the crocodile's abdomen, piercing it instantly which showed that it was more powerful than his knife.
Not only did it pierce through the crocodile's abdomen, the water spear also tore open its abdomen causing the flesh inside to scatter.
DING!
(You successfully killed the Level 6 Swamp Crocodile, you get 60 Attribute Points!)
[Name: Enzo Moonvale]
[Rank: Beginner]
(Attribute Points: 60)
"This is unbelievable," Enzo said spontaneously as he couldn't believe that he managed to kill the crocodile and it didn't take too long.
Even the fight was actually dominated by him who was far below the crocodile in strength.
'Now I understand why they say that skill is more important than strength because with skill, the difference in strength can be surpassed and finding strength will be easy,' he thought.
