Chapter 6: Chapter 5
The massive chamber was thick with silence as Kim Suho stepped into the center. His boots clicked against the stone floor, the only sound in the vast, cavernous space. He couldn't shake the feeling that the dungeon itself was watching him, its eyes hidden in the dark cracks of the walls, its breath heavy in the damp air. The echoes of his movements bounced off the ancient stone pillars that lined the room, each one cracked with age.
A large, circular insignia was etched into the floor at the center of the room—its purpose unknown but unsettling in its complexity. He could feel the oppressive weight of it on his shoulders.
And then, he saw it.
At the heart of the chamber, towering and motionless, stood the Stone Knight.
The creature's massive body was carved from dark stone, polished and worn smooth from centuries of use. Its greatsword, nearly as long as Suho's body, rested motionless on the ground, but the blade was chipped and scarred from countless battles. The knight's hollow eyes flickered dimly, glowing with a faint, eerie light that seemed to pulse with an unnatural energy. The air around it felt thick, almost alive with a malevolent presence.
Suho clenched his jaw and tightened his grip on his sword. This was it—the challenge he had come here for. This was the pinnacle of his current strength, and if he wanted to prove himself, he couldn't afford to hold back.
The Stone Knight's heavy breathing broke the silence with a deep, grinding sound, and without warning, it began to move. Its sword rose slowly, the stone grinding against stone, and then it charged.

Suho's heart skipped a beat. The sheer speed of the creature caught him off guard despite its bulk. The knight's sword swung toward him, a massive arc that could cleave him in two with a single strike.
Suho jumped to the side, barely evading the blade. The ground where he had stood a moment before was shattered by the impact. He could feel the shockwave in the air, the weight of the blow still pressing against him even as he moved.
The Stone Knight swung again, but this time, Suho was ready. He sidestepped and raised his sword, meeting the knight's blade with a resounding clash. His arms trembled from the sheer force of the blow. He couldn't afford to keep blocking—it was too powerful.
"I need to be faster."
The knight's foot crashed down beside him, sending a tremor through the floor. Suho darted backward, using the opening to assess his opponent.
"I can't block that sword head-on. I need to outmaneuver it."
Suho pushed off the ground, closing the gap between them as quickly as possible. He aimed for the knight's legs, hoping to disable its movement. With a swift slash, his sword found a weak point in the knight's armor, leaving a small scratch on the stone. But the knight barely flinched.
"It's too tough. I need to get more precise."
The Stone Knight raised its sword again, this time aiming directly for Suho's head. Too slow. Suho ducked under the swing and rolled to the side to avoid a follow-up attack.
He barely had time to catch his breath when the knight lunged forward again, its greatsword coming down with blinding speed. Suho instinctively moved forward, dodging beneath the sword and slashing at the knight's shin. This time, his blade sank a little deeper.
A small crack formed along the stone surface.
"It's working."
Suho pressed on, taking advantage of the damage he had caused. He leapt onto the knight's leg, using it as a springboard to launch himself onto its massive shoulder. From there, he ran along its stone body, sword held high, aiming for the back of its neck.
The knight swung its sword to strike him down mid-air, but Suho had already anticipated the move. He rolled off the knight's shoulder, landing behind it, and swiftly slashed at the back of its knee.
---
CRACK!
---
The sound of stone cracking echoed through the chamber. A huge chunk of the knight's leg shattered and fell to the floor. The Stone Knight staggered, its knee buckling beneath its weight.
"Yes! Now's my chance!"
Suho didn't wait. With a battle cry, he charged forward, aiming directly for the knight's exposed back. He jumped onto its back, driving his sword deep into the stone, and twisted the blade to widen the crack.
The Stone Knight roared, a low, rumbling sound that shook the entire room.
But as it attempted to move, the knight's body trembled. Its massive sword swiped blindly behind it, striking a nearby pillar and sending it crumbling to the ground.
Suho grinned through the pain in his body. "Not yet," he muttered under his breath, digging his sword in deeper.
The cracks in the Stone Knight's body grew wider, but it wasn't enough.
It wasn't finished.
---
The Final Push
The Stone Knight raised its sword one more time, its entire body grinding against the weight of the strike. The air felt thick, oppressive. Suho's body ached from the constant movement, his muscles screaming for rest, but there was no time to hesitate.
The knight's sword swung, cutting through the air with enough force to shatter a mountain. Suho dove, narrowly avoiding the blade as it cleaved into the stone floor, sending a shockwave that sent him stumbling.
But he didn't stop.
With a grimace, Suho rolled to his feet and rushed forward again, this time using the momentum of the knight's missed swing. He slammed his sword into the knight's chest.
The stone cracked further, and a blinding glow erupted from the knight's form, enveloping the room in an intense light.
The Stone Knight's glowing eyes flickered once, twice—before finally fading. With a final, resonating groan, the knight's massive form collapsed to the ground, crumbling into a heap of debris and dust.

Suho stood there for a moment, chest heaving as he took in the wreckage. His body was battered, covered in cuts, bruises, and blood. His legs barely supported him, but he stood tall, breathing deeply.
"I did it… I really did it."
Exhaustion nearly pulled him to his knees, but he refused to fall. He couldn't afford to. Not yet.
Something caught his eye.
Amid the shattered stone, a white-silver key gleamed softly. It was unlike any key he had seen before—its surface shimmered with an ethereal glow, as though it held a secret waiting to be unlocked.
---
[Item Acquired: White-Silver Key]
A mysterious key, glowing faintly with an unknown power. Its true purpose is yet to be revealed.
---
Suho took the key in his hand, feeling an unfamiliar warmth spread through his palm. He stared at it, then tucked it away in his pouch. Whatever its purpose was, he would find out later. Right now, he needed to recover.
His body ached, but his spirit felt stronger. He had pushed his limits and come out victorious. But as he caught his breath and took in the stillness of the chamber, his status window suddenly popped up in front of him.
