Song Dynasty Dreams: Marrying Zhao Pan’er at the beginning

Chapter 6 - Enraging Ouyang Xu

Chapter 6 Enraging Ouyang Xu

Sun Sanniang looked at Ouyang Xu with a face full of disgust.

“You’re pulling this trick again?”

“Ouyang Xu, how did you end up like this?”

Ouyang Xu didn’t bother explaining and simply stared at Zhao Pan’er.

Zhao Pan’er steeled her heart.

Since you want to watch my life, then I’ll let you watch all you want.

“Yinping, serve him a bowl of porridge!”

Yinping reluctantly served Ouyang Xu some porridge.

Ouyang Xu greeted Gao You politely.

“Gao Brother!”

“Scum!”

Gao You responded bluntly, stunning everyone in the room.

Sun Sanniang looked at Gao You with delight.

That was so direct!

Ouyang Xu’s face instantly twisted as if he were constipated.

Zhao Pan’er and the others lowered their heads, secretly laughing.

Once everyone was seated, Zhao Pan’er picked up a slice of cucumber and spoke in a soft, sweet voice.

“Gao Lang, ah~~~”

That voice was too powerful!

Just hearing her say ‘Gao Lang’ so delicately made Gao You feel like his bones were turning to jelly. He turned his head and saw Zhao Pan’er gazing at him with affectionate eyes, her gaze as tantalizing as if she wanted to devour him whole.

I can’t take it!

Gao You felt like he was about to lose control. He forcefully suppressed his impulse and opened his mouth to eat the cucumber Zhao Pan’er fed him. Maybe he was too overwhelmed. He didn’t even register the taste of the cucumber.

“Creak~”

Watching Zhao Pan’er’s intimate feeding, Ouyang Xu felt as if his soul was about to leave his body in fury. His teeth clenched so tightly they were about to shatter.

He had been with Zhao Pan’er for three years, yet she had never shown such an alluring, seductive side. She had never once fed him like this. But now, Gao You was enjoying everything that should have been his.

“What’s that creaking sound? Is there a rat?”

Yinping asked Song Yinzhang in confusion.

While feeding Gao You, Zhao Pan’er had been watching Ouyang Xu out of the corner of her eye. Seeing his furious, murderous expression, she intensified her efforts.

She had spent seven years in the Jiaofang (courtesan house). She knew exactly how to be charming and seductive but had never used it before!

Now, facing her former fiancé, she held nothing back and went all out.

“Gao Lang, is it tasty?”

Her voice caressed his ears like silk, sending a tingling sensation through Gao You’s entire body, as if he had been electrified. She wasn’t even doing much, yet Zhao Pan’er easily had him wrapped around her finger. Instinctively, he nodded, playing along with her act.

“This is just…”

Sun Sanniang looked at Zhao Pan’er and Gao You feeding each other and gave up on commenting. Now she finally understood what the phrase “seductive enchantress” truly meant!

If Zhao Pan’er wanted to, she could have countless men kneeling before her.

“Bang!”

Ouyang Xu slammed the table violently. Zhao Pan’er looked at him.

“What are you doing?”

“Eating a meal like this—what kind of propriety is this?”

Ouyang Xu was burning with rage as he glared at Zhao Pan’er and Gao You.

Gao You stared at Ouyang Xu and stated concisely.

“A married couple.”

“Gao Lang is right!”

Zhao Pan’er snorted coldly.

“Gao Lang and I are husband and wife!”

“Feeding each other is just a couple’s affection. How does that concern Lord Ouyang?”

“If you can’t stand it, you can leave!”

Ouyang Xu clenched his fists.

“Pan’er, must you do this?”

Zhao Pan’er rolled her eyes at him.

“I don’t understand what you’re saying.”

Ouyang Xu stood up in anger.

“You all continue eating. I’m done!”

With that, he flicked his sleeves and stormed out!

Watching him leave, Zhao Pan’er put down her chopsticks. Sun Sanniang couldn’t help but complain.

“Is Ouyang Xu sick in the head?”

“He was the one who forced you to marry, and now he comes running back to interfere in your private affairs?”

Gao You ignored their conversation, got up, and went to the kitchen to cut a plate of fruit.

“Wife!”

He picked up a fruit slice with a toothpick and held it to Zhao Pan’er’s lips. Zhao Pan’er was still immersed in the performance from earlier, so she ate the fruit without hesitation.

“Thank you, but I can do it myself.”

Seeing Zhao Pan’er smile, Gao You walked over to the riverside, found a soft cushion, and lay down.

Lazing around was Gao You’s eternal pursuit. Basking in the sunlight, he took another nap. By the time he woke up, the tea shop was bustling with more customers. It was clear that business had resumed as usual.

People kept sneaking glances at him, obviously whispering about him. But Gao You didn’t care. After all, his predecessor’s reputation was already in ruins!

With nothing better to do, he decided to admire his wife’s stunning beauty. After watching for a while, he felt an overwhelming surge of energy within him. Restless and unable to resist, he got up and grabbed some brush, ink, paper, and inkstone from the counter.

He cleared a nearby table and started painting.

“What is that fool from the Gao family doing?”

The customers murmured curiously but, maintaining their scholarly decorum, didn’t rush over to watch.

Time passed little by little. Gao You’s brush never paused. A middle-aged scholar stood up, pretending to gaze at the river while secretly glancing at Gao You’s painting.

“This—?”

The middle-aged scholar swallowed hard, as if he had seen a ghost. The surrounding scholars, seeing his reaction, abandoned their restraint and gathered around.

“The brushwork, the spirit—this is incredible!”

A well-known painter from Qiantang couldn’t help but exclaim.

Seeing an expert praise the painting, those who originally wanted to criticize it obediently kept their mouths shut.
