SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 353: An army

The bishops on the floor trembled in fear as they heard the voice of the Arch Bishop. Their fear increased several folds when he analyzed their plan from beginning to end.

"Are you now going to answer your Arch Bishop?" the emperor roared, his voice so loud it caused the throne room to tremble.

The bishops shook in fear. They understood that whatever move they made here would determine what would happen to them.

"Arch Bishop Millan, I had nothing to do with the planning of this. It was Bishop Roswell who lured me. He came to me with sweet words, telling me of the gains that would be gotten from siding with the empire," the bishop to the right spoke, trying to push the blame onto the other bishop.

But the second bishop was not going to take such lying down. He raised his head immediately and pointed at the other bishop.

"Bishop Conan is lying. He was the one that set this whole scam, wanting to be more than just a mere bishop," Roswell said with complete honesty. His eyes looked like the eyes of an honest man, a man that would never lie a day in his life.

"I do not understand why both of you still refer to yourselves as bishops," Millan said. He walked closer to them, his steps heavy in their ears.

"According to the laws that govern us, when a priest or bishop forgets their path of self-denial and self-sacrifice, they should be stripped of their standing as bishops and priests.

The both of you, Conan and Roswell, you are no longer bishops. You are nothing but ordinary humans now," Millan said with a cold, harsh voice. His tone showed that he had no emotions toward the two bishops at all.

The emperor stared at them. He pulled out a sword—a simple-looking sword, yet it had some sort of elegance to it.

"You both are no longer under the protection of the Holy Kingdom. I could have already killed you regardless, but for the sake of keeping the peace with the Holy Kingdom at this time of war, I refrained from doing so," the emperor said and slowly started walking down.

The bishops saw the emperor walking toward them. They shivered in fear and began begging.

"Please, don't! We beg of you, Emperor!" Roswell cried out, his voice loud and pitiful. But before he could say more, the emperor stabbed the blade through the back of his head.

He pulled out the sword and walked to Conan. Conan got so scared that he wet himself, losing all control of his bowels.

"Filthy," the emperor said and swung his blade, decapitating Conan. He put the sword back into his ring and walked back to his throne. He sat down and looked at Millan.

"Is this the trash that you and your Holy Kingdom raise?" the emperor asked.

"You'll always find weeds even amongst flowers," Millan said.

"Hmm, I believe you are here to tell me the actual details of what happened since you said the bishops lied," the emperor said.

"It is shocking that none of your men have gotten information about what happened and reported it to you. Is this the sort of empire you run?" Millan asked.

"My men still believe that we are at war with that kingdom. They believe that word will be sent to them after the war has reached a reasonable level," the emperor said.

"Well, then your men shall wait indefinitely because you lost all your army. And a hero candidate has also been killed.

I don't know what these two idiots told you, but we will not be divulging how we found out so fast. It is considered a secret of the Holy Kingdom, and that's why the bishops could not speak or show it to you," Millan said.

"I have no want for whatever means you used. I had only asked those two before because I knew they were lying.

I already know of the oath and understand that the people from the Holy Kingdom could not divulge information that was considered secret.

But about the issue of the hero candidate—have the hearts been alerted? What is the plan of action? Where do we head from here?" the emperor asked several questions, though he wasn't really looking for answers.

Silva stood in front of a thousand abyssal creatures that had now become his summons. He stood there, struggling to catch his breath while admiring his newest and terrifyingly strong army.

Although the system had gone, the ten times effect of his legacy still worked, and so all the summons were now jacked up. Enjoy new tales from My Virtual Library Empire

"I'm coming for the empire. I'll make them pay," Silva said in a low tone. The empire came at him with demonized; he would go at them with abyssal creatures.

For everyone that he had lost and for everything he had been through, he was done holding back, done taking the easy way out. This was war, and he was a demon king, so he would act like one.

Silva turned around. His clones stood behind him, each one looking at him with a smile. They had slowly grown their own personalities, slightly different from the original Silva, and though they all thought and did the same things, there was a little bit of uniqueness to each one.

"I guess I can't really call you guys clones anymore. You are more like extensions of me at this point. Each one of you can be me and still be you at the same time," Silva said.

"We have no plans to be you, Silva, because there can only be one you," a clone said.

"Yes, everything here was made possible because of you, and without you, it all stops existing," another clone said, and all the others nodded in agreement.

"Thank you," Silva said. His expression changed into a cold one again. "Let's bury the dead and go send some more people into the land of the dead," he said, and the time finally went off the plain. After fighting for several hours, it was now night.
