Mingmei was working in the office; Zhang Wei called her to the office. She knocked the door,

"Oh, Meimei, please come in" he said.

"What can I do for your boss?" she asked.

"Ah, not really. I actually wanted to say sorry for yesterday" he said.

"It's ok... you had your reasons" she said.

"Thanks for understanding. So, was everything alright after I left?" he asked.

"Pretty cool, everyone had fun, and left later. Although you were missing" she said.

"Well in that case, I shall join you guys next time" he said.

"Sure" she said.

"One more thing, you seem to be stressed... is everything alright...?" he asked.

"Nothing much, may be little hangover" she said.

"You sure...?" he asked.

"I guess I'll feel much better if I get some coffee, so if there's nothing I shall get going" she left without saying anything further.

She was there sitting on the couch holding a cup of coffee, lost in her thoughts.

"Why would have Lie got so drunk... why was he reluctant on going home... he really did forgot about what happened last light...?? Or maybe I'm just overthinking it. he might have been under some sort of stress... although the... the kiss..." suddenly the scenario popped out in her head and she unnoticingly touched her lips slightly, while blushing with smile.

"Meimei, you alright?" Yaya came over.

"Ah, I'm good...," said Mingmei.

"You seem to be lost... lack of sleep...?" Yaya asked.

"I guess... hm, well what brings you here?" asked Mingmei.

"Aahh... damn, I forgot..." Yaya in a low voice (pouting her lips).

Saying so she left. Mingmei got over her thoughts and went back to work too.

It was evening, Mingmei had her dinner. It's been quite a time since she last updated her book. So, she took her laptop and started typing.

Jack and Emily were sitting in a park together. Laying her head on his shoulder, she took his hand in her hand and said,

"Jack, it feels so comfortable and good when you are here by my side. I wish time could stop at this moment."

Jack smiled... with closed eyes and feeling the warmth of her hands, he said,

"Emily... I love you the most..."

"Hmm... I love you too Jack" she rubbed her head on his shoulder.

For some time, they were just sitting quite with eyes closed.

"Jack, we shall be together forever...," said Emily.

Jack was quite, he said nothing.

"Jack, why aren't you saying anything...?" Emily asked.

But Jack was still quite. So, Emily opened her eyes and turned towards him only to see that he was not there.

"Jack!!" Emily panicked.

"Jack where are you?!! she panicked even more.

"Jack! Jack! Jack, where are you...??"

But she couldn't see him anywhere. Her eyes were full of tears... when she suddenly heard a voice approaching her,

"Emily..."

She turned behind and saw Jack standing far extending his hand towards her... she ran forward to hold his hand and he just disappeared. She started crying his name loudly.

"Emily, Emily... what's wrong... I'm right here with you..." said Jack, while trying to wake her from sleep.

Suddenly Emily wakes up, sees him sitting next to her, she hugs him in tears.

"What's wrong my dear..." jack was trying to confront her.

"I had a bad dream... you were nowhere to be found. I was so scared..." Emily was still in panic.

"Don't worry baby, I'm not going anywhere. Let's be together for a long time...," said Jack.

"Hmm... forever...," said Emily.

"Just calm down now... we'll have an appointment with the doctor later," said jack.

"Ok...," said Emily.

Sometime later a massage popped on her screen.

She saw more comments on her update, time flied in it. And she went to sleep.

In the morning, as soon as she arrived at her office, suddenly a no. of reporters approached her car. Seeing so many people she was confused and did not dare to step out of car. She was constantly blowing horns, but none of them were moving. Everyone was trying to get her snaps.

"Ms. Zheng, what's your relationship with Wang Lie? Some people saw you together late night, what's your explanation for it? We want an answer Ms. Zheng!"

"Ms. Zheng, please answer the question!"

All of them were knocking the windows of her car, taking snaps and shouting questions. Mingmei was now scared; she had never been approached by so much public before. Zhang Wei came there to help her. He went through the crowd, grabbed her through the shoulder, and took her away from the reporters. Everyone saw them getting away together.

"Ms. Zheng, you can't get away without answering the questions" the reporters said.

"Don't let any of them inside" Zhang Wei said to the security guards.

He took Mingmei inside. Everyone was looking at her. Zhang Wei was furious about the situation now.

"What's all the fuss about, just go back to work" said Zhang Wei addressing everyone.

Seeing their boss lost his cool, everyone went back to work. Everyone was quite. Mingmei was so tensed. Su Yaya came to her and offered her coffee. But Mingmei was so lost in her thoughts she didn't even notice Yaya standing next to her.

"Meimei...? Here, have some coffee," said Yaya.

"Haa!! Thanks" Mingmei's voice was low.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine... but don't mind me asking what's going on...?" asked Yaya.

"Just mere confusion and misunderstanding. I don't know what I should do..." Mingmei was so down.

"People will eventually forget everything in after some days. Just hang in there. Better focus on yourself and work" Yaya was trying to comfort her.

In no time, Mrs. He came there and called Mingmei and Zhang Wei to the office.

"Mingmei, I know you are a very sensible and intelligent girl. But what's wrong this time? This is the first time the company's name is on headlines but for some unusual reasons...," said Mrs. He anxiously.

"I'm sorry boss..." Mingmei was still low.

Seeing her like that, Zhang Wei said,

"Mom…"

But Mrs. He gave him a furious look.

"Sorry, boss... I'm sure there might be some misunderstanding...," said Zhang Wei.

Mingmei was standing there in lost. Zhang Wei furiously shut down the TV.

"Those reporters just want to cause trouble for their own profit!" said Zhang Wei in an angry tone.

"I don't care about their profits. All I wanna know is what's all this drama? Are you both seeing each other for real? Or are you dating Wang Lie? Meimei answer me," said Mrs. He.

"None of this is true... Mr. Zhang Wei and I are just boss and employee. As for Wang Lie, he is my idol, we don't have any relationship. We just know each other" said Mingmei.

"Meimei, I don't mind you having relationship with anyone. May it be Zhang Wei, may it be Wang Lie or anyone else. I just don't want you to be a part of all this mess and most importantly, I won't accept any loss of the company due to this matter," said Mrs. He.

"I understand boss," said Mingmei.

"As for you, Wei, I hope you won't let your personal life cause any troubles for the work. I trust you both, I hope both of you won't disappoint me," said Mrs. He.

"I get it boss... be rest assured," said Zhang Wei.

Meanwhile Wang Lie was constantly calling Mingmei, but she was constantly ignoring his calls. Mrs. He noticed this.

"Mingmei, you can leave first," said Mrs. He.

"Ok boss" Mingmei said and left in hurry.

"You don't say much but being your mom, I can see it through your eyes... you care for her... protect what you cherish then...," said Mrs. He.

Zhang Wei was quite. He just shook his head and left.

Mingmei called Wang Lie.

"Meimei, are you alright? I just saw the reporters on TV...," said Wang Lie. He was very worried.

"I... I don't know... I expected this to happen someday, but not just today..." Mingmei's voice was low.

"I'm sorry... if not for me, all of this might not have been the scenario... I'm really sorry..." Wang Lie was feeling guilty.

"It's ok... I guess ignoring them would get situation back to normal...," said Mingmei.

"Don't worry... I'll sort this out as soon as possible" Lie assured her.

She hung up and went back to work.
