Starsea Fleet: Age of the Lord

Chapter 213: Chapter 213: The Storm Fleet Changes the Battlefield

Just one round of T5-class interstellar missiles from the Storm Fleet was enough to reduce the enemy fleet from five hundred ships to just over a hundred T5 ships, and those were left with shattered shields. The remaining defenseless T5 ships were little more than sitting ducks, making it easy for the Storm Fleet to pick them off.

In the command center of the Tianqi Fleet's flagship, Tang Zhen, the legendary commander, watched the holo-radar display closely. He laughed heartily as he saw over three hundred red markers vanish from the enemy's fleet—it was truly the power of a T5-class jump ship in action. But upon seeing the radar feed showing the Storm Fleet's lineup, Tang Zhen's expression grew serious.

The Storm Fleet's composition was unlike any other: ten T5-class stealth bombers, five T5-class missile ships, a T5-class star destroyer, and numerous specialized ships including carriers and bio-ships with interception capabilities. In any other fleet, each of these ships would be considered a flagship. But in the Storm Fleet, they were all combined into one cohesive fighting force. Tang Zhen, known for his strategic brilliance, began simulating scenarios of a direct confrontation between the Tianqi and Storm Fleets. After numerous simulations, he realized that regardless of tactics, the Tianqi Fleet could not face the Storm Fleet head-on, especially with the added advantage of the elusive jump ship.

For the first time, the seasoned commander felt a sense of helplessness—a stark reminder of how advanced technology could provide overwhelming superiority. The only viable counter would be multiple T6 ships; otherwise, no T5 fleet in the entire Starsea Human Federation could withstand such an assault.

The battle raged on as the Storm Fleet's T5-class cluster star destroyers and main and auxiliary cannons fired in unison, forming a lethal web of firepower that obliterated the remaining enemy T5 ships, reducing them to fiery explosions in the cold vacuum of space.

Meanwhile, the Starlight Panel indicated that Feng Mo had completed a third of his mission to annihilate three T5 enemy fleets.

The Pan-Human Alliance commanders were stunned by the sudden appearance of the Storm Fleet, and as the radar revealed its configuration, each Alliance commander felt the immediate urge to retreat. Others considered rallying the entire Alliance fleet to surround and eliminate the Storm Fleet, no matter the cost. Feng Mo's presence was simply too threatening.

On the Tianqi Fleet's flagship, Tang Zhen acted decisively, ordering his fleet to press on with a second wave of attacks to pin down the Alliance T5 fleets, creating more openings for the Storm Fleet's surprise assaults.

After delivering a devastating strike, Feng Mo refrained from lingering to claim any spoils or continue the assault. He immediately ordered the fleet to withdraw, avoiding potential retaliation. The scattered responses among Alliance commanders—some opting for retreat, others pushing to encircle the Storm Fleet—allowed Feng Mo's fleet to slip away safely.

The Storm Fleet retreated to a safe distance, out of radar range, where the Jiliang once again opened a jump gate. Through this, the Storm Fleet returned to the Azure Dragon Fortress for resupply.

In the Storm God's command center, Feng Mo issued his next set of orders:

"Ten T5 Mystic Bird-class stealth bombers, proceed to infiltrate the next target fleet. Await further orders to attack!"

Feng Mo was mindful that relying on the jump ship too frequently would heighten the risk of interception, especially given the enemy's substantial fleet presence. Each battlefield had at least five fleets, meaning even a single volley could cost the Storm Fleet a third of its ships.

To minimize losses and complete the mission of annihilating three fleets, Feng Mo decided to adopt a new approach, utilizing a weapon recently developed by Alisa's Starship Design Department. This device, akin to a "timed tracking bomb" from the past, was designed to split into multiple smaller explosives, each equipped with a miniature targeting radar for precision. Its power was equivalent to that of a T5 interstellar missile.

Due to time constraints, only ten thousand units had been produced, and Feng Mo had brought them all.

An hour later, after rearming, the Storm Fleet didn't return to the previous asteroid field but moved to the main battlefield. The other commanders were puzzled, but seeing Feng Mo's confidence, none questioned his decision. The earlier strike had already stunned them, each one quietly contemplating that even their best tactics would have been futile against such firepower.

This time, Feng Mo targeted a Pan-Human Alliance fleet engaged with the Glorious Fleet—a fleet of interstellar beastmen. Easily identified by their massive ships, the beastmen were generally half a meter taller than humans and impressively strong. Their ships were enormous, but size didn't always mean strength; the beastmen's fleet suffered from slower warp speeds and reduced mobility.

"Lord Commander, the ten T5 Mystic Birds have reached optimal bombing positions. Awaiting orders!" Mello reported to Feng Mo.

"Good. Jiliang, open the jump gate. All five T5 Pegasus-class missile ships, load the T5-class timed tracking missiles and prepare to fire!"

As Jiliang activated its energy matrix, beams of light converged to form a massive gate in space. With the gate stabilized, the five Pegasus-class missile ships fired a volley of ten thousand T5-class timed tracking missiles through it.

Upon crossing the jump gate, the missiles split into thirty thousand units, each zeroing in on a pre-designated target among the beastmen's ships.

In the Storm God's command center, Feng Mo continued issuing orders:

"Advance the Storm Fleet. All T5 cluster star destroyers and main and auxiliary cannons, charge

for firing. Mello, commence your operation!"
