Even though Lint knew he was in the big tomb of the evil god Malphas,he had no choice but to stay.

If he tried to run away in the dark,he wouldn't be able to go out into the light,and it would be even more dangerous outside.

"Since that's the case,I have to get stronger in this tomb and find a way to protect myself from the sunlight!"

Lint had played the game"Norsic"

so many times that he knew every hidden item and material in the tomb like the back of his hand.

Even though the game was different from real life,finding just one or two items would be a big win.

Some of the items in the game were super valuable and could be used all the way until the middle or even late stages.

The most important thing was that at the bottom of the tomb,there was some leftover power from the evil god Malphas.In the game,players could get it if they followed the right strategy.

Normally,touching the evil power would make someone go crazy.

But if you collected the four evil god tolerance pendants from the tomb's guardians and made a special outfit from the skin of a rare dark creature called a"Yushen Frog,"

You could take the evil power without any problems.

Lint was busy absorbing dark energy from the shadows to heal himself.

He took one last look at the Malphas statue and then floated back down the underground tunnel.

The darkness got deeper and deeper,but Lint felt more and more comfortable.

A red dot lit up on the map again.As Lint explored more,the map showed more areas,but the distance he could see enemies didn't change.

"Let's see how you handle my new ability,"Lint said,feeling pretty confident.He moved toward the red dot instead of running away.Even though the dot didn't show exactly what the enemy was,Lint could guess how strong it was by how bright and big the dot was.So he wasn't worried about running into something too tough.

"Gotta keep being smart and picking on the weak,"Lint told himself.

As he got closer,he finally saw what the red dot was."Hey,it's an old friend,"Lint said with a grin."Perfect,I'll test my new ability on you!"

In front of him was a super dark chew rat.There was no doubt it was the same Dark Chewing Rat he had beaten before,level 5.

At this moment,the Dark Chewing Rat clearly noticed Lint as well.

However,the moment its gaze fell upon Lint,the outcome was already decided.

Its incomprehensible appearance instantly triggered mental contamination.

The Dark Chewing Rat fell into confusion in an instant,struggling wildly on the ground and darting around aimlessly.

Seeing this,Lint's gray eyes widened to their maximum.

The Dark Binding Eye activated.

In the pitch-black underground,there was no doubt that the power of the Dark Binding Eye was significantly enhanced.

Invisible darkness surged forward like dark pythons,tightly wrapping around the Dark Chewing Rat.

The struggling rat was instantly immobilized,unable to move.

Look at this rat now;there was no trace of its previous composure.It looked utterly defeated.

The dark threads floated in the air,taut as steel needles,and in an instant,pierced through the rat's head.

As the Dark Chewing Rat died,Lint slowly landed on its body.The dark threads extended into the corpse,beginning to devour the energy within.

But this time,there was no flesh energy from the Dark Chewing Rat;only the dark energy flowed into Lint's body.

"Seems like the flesh energy that has already been devoured and evolved can't be used for further evolution,"Lint thought,watching the evolution bar slowly increase.

The dark energy,however,was absorbed without any issues.

Was it because he was essentially formed from pure darkness,making him more receptive to dark energy?

Lost in these thoughts,Lint watched as the corpse of the Dark Chewing Rat gradually withered away.

Once all the dark energy was absorbed and the evolution bar increased by 10%,Lint mused,"The energy needed for evolution has increased,huh?"

He wasn't surprised by this.

To unlock new evolutionary paths,he would need to find new monsters to absorb energy from.

But there was no rush.

Better to wait for something truly satisfactory,with enough potential to be worth evolving from.

The Dark Eye had two more stages of evolution before reaching its ultimate form.

He could still evolve one more time before that.

Although Lint personally thought that the appearance of the Dark Eye's next two stages of evolution probably wouldn't be very aesthetically pleasing by mainstream standards,strength was beauty enough for him.

After defeating the Dark Chewing Rat,Lint didn't recklessly push forward.Instead,he hid in a dark corner,quietly absorbing dark energy to recover.

Damn it,the Dark Binding Eye consumed more energy than he had imagined.

Unlike the Dark Steel Wire,which draws energy bit by bit as it's used,the Dark Binding Eye sucks up a big chunk of energy all at once when it's cast.Evolving the Dark Eye has really boosted Lint's energy capacity,but he figures he can only use the Dark Binding Eye three times before his energy is completely drained.

Still,the Dark Binding Eye is cast just by looking,with no wind-up,so it hits instantly.

Given how powerful it is,it makes sense that it uses up a lot of energy.

So maybe it's better to keep it as a trump card and stick to using the Dark Steel Wire as the main way to attack and tie up enemies.

This time,recovering his energy took Lint a lot longer.Before,his energy pool was small,so he could recharge quickly.But now that he's evolved and has more energy,it naturally takes longer to fill back up.

He kept going deeper inside.Strange moss started growing on the stone walls,glowing faintly.The moss's light didn't hurt Lint,but since the moss was there,it meant he'd reached the second level.In the real world,inside this evil god's tomb,you can't really feel the levels changing.But in the game"Norsic,"when you get to the second level,the darkness fades and everything gets a little brighter.

And on the second level,there's something Lint really needs to get his hands on.If he wants to safely get the evil god's power,he needs that other power first.

"But I don't know if I can get into that hidden space like in the game,"

Lint thought as he looked around.

"Maybe that hidden space doesn't even exist here in the real world."

This is a really important experiment.

If it works,it means that Lint can get his hands on a lot of the hidden items and powers from the game"Norsic."

But if it fails,most of the experience he got from playing"Norsic"might be useless.

And surviving in this world would be even harder for him.
