Chapter 34: Chapter 34: The Predator's Assault
Chapter 34: The Predator's Assault
Chang Wei's Xenomorph Hunters were locked in a fierce battle. While the continuous assault of the Warrior Xenomorphs posed no significant threat to them, it was enough to delay the Hunters.
The Predalien grew more agitated watching the Xenomorph Hunters' ferocity, which made its own offspring seem useless in comparison. Its Predator DNA instincts filled it with an overwhelming thrill and desire—an almost primal urge to charge in recklessly.
However, the Xenomorph's cold rationality suppressed this impulse. It was fortunate, as charging in would likely result in it being swatted to death by a single strike from a Xenomorph Hunter.
---
"Roar!"
A Xenomorph Hunter slapped a Warrior Xenomorph, sending its body flying mid-air and tearing it into three pieces. The acidic bodily fluids sprayed everywhere, corroding the surroundings.
However, these corrosive fluids dripped off the Xenomorph Hunter's body like ordinary water droplets, leaving it unharmed.
Each Xenomorph Hunter faced an average of ten Xenomorphs attacking it simultaneously. The Xenomorphs coordinated increasingly well, distracting the Hunters and launching sneak attacks.
But neither claws nor tail stingers could penetrate the Xenomorph Hunters' smooth surface, leaving no scratches whatsoever.
The anti-corrosive "biological wax coating" on their exterior wasn't just for corrosion resistance; its slick surface significantly reduced friction. Sharp or pointed objects would slide off upon contact. Combined with their unique body structure, these creatures could withstand tremendous pressure. Their massive weight gave them the appearance of subsonic tanks in motion.
The only potential threat, the Xenomorphs' inner jaws, couldn't get close. The Hunters' smooth bodies made climbing impossible, and at close range, the Xenomorphs were easily swatted away.
---
The Predalien quickly realized that its current brood wasn't sufficient to overwhelm the Hunters. It roared, pure drool dripping from its mouth, as it contemplated its next move. Having already converted all available forest creatures into Xenomorphs, it decided to spawn tenfold, even twentyfold more if necessary.
Just as it was about to leave, a thunderous boom echoed.
A towering figure landed before it—the Predator Hunter!
---
Standing as tall as a super soldier from the Prototype series, the Predator Hunter was a picture of power and strength. A jet-black trench coat covered its entire body. Its face, eerily humanlike, displayed no expression. Its eyes were completely white, lacking pupils.
The coat was a viral mimicry created by the Blacklight Virus—a touch added by Chang Wei to enhance the Hunter's aura of intimidation.
The Predalien growled, baring its fangs as its sphincter-like mouth opened and closed. It recognized the Hunter's scent, both familiar and alien, making it uneasy.
In the next instant, the two titans clashed!
The Predalien was sent flying over a hundred meters, crashing into a reinforced wall. The impact shattered the concrete and steel, leaving the Xenomorph collapsed and struggling to rise.
---
The Predator Hunter advanced with heavy steps. Its biomechanical structure, resembling hydraulic mechanisms, allowed it to exert a base force of hundreds of tons, with maximum output reaching tens of thousands. To withstand such power, its body strength and density were unimaginable.
Calling it a "body of steel" would be an understatement.
---
"Return."
Chang Wei's voice echoed in the Predator Hunter's mind, transmitted via electrical signals.
The Hunter paused momentarily before turning to leave.
Chang Wei didn't want the Predalien killed outright. After testing the Hunter's capabilities, he was more than satisfied.
Absorbing memories had proven invaluable—biomechanics and various other knowledge had shown their worth. This realization spurred Chang Wei to commit to studying more diligently in the future.
Pleased with the Predator Hunter's strength, Chang Wei still planned to develop other types of Hunters to ensure comprehensive versatility.
---
The Predalien, spared by the Hunter, fled immediately.
This was precisely what Chang Wei had intended. The small town's inhabitants, caught between two monstrous factions, were now unable to alert the National Guard as they had in the original storyline. Chang Wei's orders were clear—no survivors.
Whether human or Xenomorph, none were spared by the Hunters.
This ensured the nuclear strike event from the original storyline would not occur.
---
Meanwhile, in space...
A uniquely designed spaceship received a distress signal from the Predator Lone Wolf. The Predator Elder aboard the ship examined the signal and noted the death of Lone Wolf, a seasoned cleaner and elite Predator.
This implied the situation on Earth had reached catastrophic levels.
To the Elder, however, it wasn't particularly concerning. Sending a few elite Predators from his crew would be enough to exterminate Earth, now a hunting ground.
After all, becoming an elite Predator required singlehandedly clearing an entire Xenomorph hive, including the Queen and 300 Xenomorphs.
Nevertheless, the Elder decided to personally head to Earth.
Why? Because he had seemingly discovered prey that rivaled the Creators themselves.
Becoming an Ancient Predator Elder required hunting down a Creator—a colossal Engineer from Prometheus.
