Lin Shen glanced at the direction of the cabin, wanting to say something, but when he turned back to look at Tian Jiuyou, he found that Tian Jiuyou's figure had already disappeared.

"Ice Nightmare Star often has Immortal Creatures coming and going; you'd best not leave Snow Valley. Take care, adoptive father."

Lin Shen only heard Tian Jiuyou's voice echoing in Snow Valley, but he could no longer see his figure.

"Without you here, do you think this place can still trap me?" Lin Shen tried to use his mechanical wristwatch to teleport away, but it just wouldn't activate.

"Is it that Tian Jiuyou's Law Power still lingers, or is there something inherently wrong with Ice Nightmare Star itself?" Lin Shen wondered.

He certainly wouldn't listen to Tian Jiuyou. He leaped into the sky, trying to leave Snow Valley and break out of the planet's atmosphere to attempt teleporting in space.

As long as he left this planet, he could go anywhere he wanted.

No sooner had Lin Shen flown out of the valley and braved the cold wind to reach the outer atmosphere, when suddenly a beam of ice light shot toward him, giving him no chance to react and instantly turned his body into a block of ice.

Lin Shen felt his brain freeze, unable to think or move; he only saw darkness before falling from the sky.

As his consciousness slowly returned, Lin Shen realized that the Immortality Scripture was operating automatically. His body was still extremely cold, as if he had just soaked in iced water, the chill penetrating into his bones, freezing him to the core.

Trying to move, he found his body completely immobile. Forcing his eyes open, he discovered he was frozen within an ice block, unable to make the slightest movement.

"What the hell is this?" Once Lin Shen awoke, Evolution Theory began to operate too, enabling him to gradually adapt to the extreme cold.

Fortunately, Lin Shen had previously developed a decent resistance to low temperatures, but the cold was still unbearable, revealing how truly cold the ice block was.

Time ticked away, minute by minute, and Lin Shen didn't know how long it had been but felt it was at least ten to twenty hours before some strength slowly began to return to his body.

Lin Shen erupted with strength, trying to shatter the ice encasing him, but found his Strength insufficient to break the ice.

"What's going on? Could this ice block truly embody the power of the Immortal Laws? Otherwise, with my bodily capabilities, I should be able to shatter even the toughest Immortal materials—how could I not break this ice!" Shocked, Lin Shen could only patiently continue operating Evolution Theory.

Luckily, he possessed both Evolution Theory and the Immortality Scripture, ensuring his survival under such conditions was not a problem, but escaping from the ice was far from easy.

Time passed unknowably, and eventually, the cold within Lin Shen slowly dissipated and his senses became much sharper.

He gradually sensed the strange power emanating from the ice block—a clear display of the power of Laws. No matter how strong he was or how much heat his body emitted, he couldn't melt even a bit of the ice encasing him.

"The power of Ice Series Laws, the strongest must be Absolute Zero, right? It can bring all movement to a halt, halting the exchange of energy, which is why the ice block can't melt, no matter what," Lin Shen speculated in his mind.

If it really was as he thought, he feared he might be trapped in the ice block for life, never able to escape.

"Whose Law Power is this? An Immortal Creature outside Snow Valley? Or that Ice Lotus within Snow Valley?" Lin Shen lacked good options and could only calm down to ponder how he might escape.

Even if Evolution Theory enabled his body to adapt to the cold, breaking through the ice formed by Absolute Zero wasn't something Evolution Theory could achieve right now.

"Is there a Fire Seed ability that can deal with the current situation?" Lin Shen thought hard, but it seemed like only the 'fight fire with fire' Fire Seed ability might have some effect.

But now, Lin Shen couldn't even move, so where could he find something to counter the icy power?

As he pondered, he suddenly saw something white and cord-like dancing outside the glass-like ice block.

The white cord wrapped around the ice block, then slowly lifted it, moving the block's position as if bringing it into something white.

"Ice Lotus... It must be the Ice Lotus..." Lin Shen felt a surge of shock and uncertainty, not knowing why the Ice Lotus brought him into its bloom.

As far as Lin Shen knew, many Base Mutation Plants had the ability to consume humans, and now that the Ice Lotus had brought him inside, he couldn't help but fear it wanted to eat him.

As if to corroborate Lin Shen's thoughts, the ice block, with him inside, was pulled into the lotus, and the ice outside began to melt at an incredibly fast rate.

"The power within the lotus is so strong that it can easily melt the ice; surely, it wouldn't melt me too, right?" Lin Shen's heart was filled with trepidation.

As more of the ice block melted, Lin Shen could see more clearly.

Indeed, he was inside the blossom of the Ice Lotus, surrounded by white stamens, one of which had wrapped around him and pulled him in.

When only a thin layer of ice was left, Lin Shen finally managed to shatter the remaining ice and burst out.

Without a moment's hesitation, he leapt up, trying to escape the confines of the blossom.

But just as he took off, a stamen wrapped around his body like a rope, pulling him back down.

Lin Shen drew his Scrap Sword in retaliation, slashing at the stamen, attempting to sever it.

He had already tried breaking the stamen with his body, but it seemed to have no effect.

The Ice Lotus was not like a creature of Base Mutation; it was similar to regular plants, soft to touch and even emitting a refreshing fragrance.

The Scrap Sword cut into the stamen, but despite being able to saw through Immortal materials, it felt like cutting into a tough, tendon-like rope. Despite using great strength, he could only create a slight indentation in the stamen without harming it at all.

Lin Shen knew it was the toughness and strength of the stamen that exceeded his own, making his Scrap Sword ineffective; the stamen was even more resilient than the body of a typical Immortal.

Other stamens reached over, wrapping around Lin Shen's hands, quickly binding him tight like a wrapped dumpling.

"It's over, am I going to die here today?" Lin Shen watched as a stamen aimed straight for his mouth, sending a chill through his heart.

Pfft!

"To die like this, too unseemly!" The stamen pierced into Lin Shen's mouth, causing his pupils to dilate as his soul seemed to fly beyond the Nine Heavens.
