"The Great Void world is indeed not some virtual world; it is a place that truly exists," Lin Shen became more certain that the Great Void world was real.

Once again entering the Isolated Island within the Great Void world, Lin Shen, who had initially planned to head straight for the Dark Bird Temple, suddenly discovered something new on the island.

A creature he didn't know where it came from was lying on the beach, seemingly at its last gasp.

At a glance, Lin Shen saw that the creature was oddly shaped and couldn't tell what it was.

Upon closer inspection, he was greatly surprised.

It was a creature similar to a mermaid, with a human torso and a serpent tail, and a human-like face.

If that were all, it wouldn't be surprising. What was shocking was the creature's hair, which was made of poisonous snakes, remarkably similar to Medusa from the legends.

"What is this? A hybrid of a mermaid and Medusa?" Lin Shen looked at the strange creature lying on the beach, his expression somewhat bizarre.

Seeing her motionless on the ground, Lin Shen summoned Xiaoyu to come out and check what exactly was going on with that thing.

He didn't dare go over himself; it looked like Medusa, and if he approached and it opened its eyes and petrified him, it would be seeking his own death.

After hearing what Lin Shen said, Xiaoyu stared at him with teeth clenched and said, "What's your strength? And what's mine? You won't go yourself, and you make me do everything—are you even human anymore?"

"You said you're my dear son. When the father has a matter to attend, of course, the son should step up," Lin Shen said with a smile.

Xiaoyu trembled with anger and, sulking, stopped talking, examining the strange thing on the beach.

He didn't charge forward right away, summoning the Asura Blade and Asura Fork, and first made a tentative jab into the void with the Asura Fork.

The thing immediately made a noise as it was jabbed by the Asura Fork in Xiaoyu's hand, to the left, right, forward, and backward. Xiaoyu quickly realized that the thing was probably not alive; if it were, being jostled about like that, it would have likely gotten up to fight for its life if it had any left.

Assured there was no danger, Xiaoyu then approached.

Lin Shen also realized the danger had passed, so he followed Xiao Yu and walked over.

The two squatted down to study the bizarre corpse, and just as they crouched, the creature with its eyes tightly shut suddenly opened them.

The two were so startled that they leaped up and flew into the air, hurling various skills and techniques.

All sorts of attacks landed on the creature's body, nearly blasting the beach to smithereens, yet the creature showed no reaction and still lay there with its eyes open.

The frenzied bombardment of Lin Shen and Xiao Yu didn't inflict any damage on her body.

"This thing's body is so strong, but why won't it move?" As he looked at the unmoving creature, Lin Shen was filled with suspicion and uncertainty.

This was the Great Void world, and Lin Shen didn't think the creature was a Divine Being; it might be a Deformed Species native to the Great Void world.

Seeing that she remained motionless, Lin Shen thought for a moment and pulled out the Death Powder, intending to use it to kill this Deformed Species to avoid further accidents.

Death Powder rushed over decisively, without as many concerns as Xiao Yu.

Death Powder was now an Immortal Level creature, possessed Twin Laws, and had the immensely destructive Power of Nirvana.

In theory, its attack should easily destroy the body of any Lower Deformed Species, but Lin Shen watched as Death Powder's tail, glowing with purple light, stabbed into the creature's body, only leaving a red mark, unable to penetrate at all.
