With a swoosh, as Robert's voice fell, he instantly vanished from his original position, seemingly appearing simultaneously in front of Tohru and the Shadow Devourer Soldier!

Two consecutive collisions sounded. Robert attacked Tohru and the Shadow Devourer Soldier at the same time, sending both of them flying backward.

Roar! Just as Robert was about to kill the Shadow Devourer Soldier, a roar came from behind it, and a huge mouth aimed at Robert.

The mouth was so large that the ten-meter-tall Shadow Devourer Soldier was just the size of its teeth. This showed the enormous size of the mouth and its owner...

With a clang, Robert, facing the massive mouth and its peculiar smell, frowned and disappeared from his original spot. The huge mouth only managed to swallow the ten-meter Shadow Devourer Soldier, and the sound of teeth clashing echoed around.

"Wow?! Such a big one?!" On the other side, Robert saw the owner of the huge mouth. It was a giant Shadow Devourer Soldier, much larger than any before!

A Shadow Devourer Soldier hundreds of meters tall! Its aura was tens of times stronger than the one it devoured!

After devouring the ten-meter-tall Shadow Devourer Soldier, this giant Shadow Devourer Soldier seemed to undergo a qualitative change. Its body trembled, and its power surged.

Not that its power decreased; on the contrary, it condensed, similar to a transformation from a bloated form to a combat form.

"Is this possible?!" Tohru, watching the Shadow Devourer Soldier's transformation, had a look of joy in his eyes. This was all his plan. He had been controlling the Shadow Devourer Soldiers to fuse over time.

Normally, the Shadow Devourer Army had endless numbers but were just small fry, not worth mentioning. No one thought of merging them to enhance their power.

But this time was different. Tohru had no other choice. Shadow Devourer Soldiers, the only ones in the Shadow Army able to grow stronger by devouring shadows, might be able to merge!

So, Tohru tried it, and it worked. The giant Shadow Devourer Soldier achieved a qualitative change after devouring the ten-meter one.

Had he known this, Tohru wouldn't have waited so long. He would have let the Shadow Devourer Soldiers devour shadows recklessly and merge them sooner, without the cautious nurturing of a few strong ones.

"Your subordinate seems to need some time to evolve. Meanwhile, I'll keep my fighting spirit high with you!" Robert, after sending Tohru flying, mocked him and began a one-sided beatdown.

With Robert's full power and no one to share the pressure, Tohru's situation was miserable.

"Ahhhhh!"

Tohru's screams echoed, and if not for the dark energy continuously healing him, he would have died countless times already. His situation was somewhat like Golden Frieza being beaten by Broly, forced to buy time for someone else to transform, unable to fight back, surviving by sheer luck...

Bang! Finally, Robert landed another punch, shattering Tohru's body, leaving only his head and mask intact. But Tohru had lost the ability to fight, lying in a pit, waiting for the dark energy to slowly restore his body.

And this was with Robert intentionally not destroying Tohru's mask. Destroying the Shadow Devourer Mask would likely cause the Shadow Devourer Soldier to disappear, wasting Robert's effort.

The new form looked similar but more human-like, with a head resembling the Shadow Devourer Mask, long legs, and a pair of hands. It looked less like a shark with legs and more like a humanoid creature.

"Attack my master! You're dead!" The Shadow Devourer Soldier could now speak, and its loyalty to Tohru remained high, despite its immense power.

Swoosh! As the Shadow Devourer Soldier spoke, it disappeared. Robert's pupils contracted as he punched to his side, where the Shadow Devourer Soldier appeared, its punch met by Robert's.

Bang! The collision sent Robert flying, his fist aching. This Shadow Devourer Soldier was much stronger now, beyond Robert's current normal state.

"This is interesting. Finally, a good fight!" Robert's eyes sparkled, his body halted mid-air, and a surge of energy enveloped him. A strong aura mixed with beastly ferocity and fighting spirit began to shake everything around!

Great Ape Power: Wrath! Berserk Fist!

The Great Ape Power: Wrath was Robert's most handy transformation, continually boosting his normal combat power!

As Robert completed his transformation and unleashed the Berserk Fist, the Shadow Devourer Soldier appeared beside him again, punching Robert without hesitation, unaffected by Robert's aura and energy!

Bang! This time, their fists collided without either retreating. The Shadow Devourer Soldier wasn't influenced by Robert's aura, likely due to its lack of self-awareness.

Though it could speak, it was still just following orders. Its current order was to kill Robert, unaffected by battle spirit, pressure, or ferocity!

That was the advantage of being mindless!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

On the ground, Robert and the Shadow Devourer Soldier clashed repeatedly. The Shadow Devourer Soldier still couldn't fly, only jump high, so the battle couldn't be confined to the sky.

Their increased power meant the fight had the destruction level of gods or hell lords, much greater than before! Even Robert's psychic barrier couldn't remain intact, nearing its breaking point under their clashes.

Robert couldn't reinforce the barrier during such a fight, barely holding back from unleashing destructive ki blasts.

Crack! As expected, the strong air currents from a clash shattered everything around, including Robert's psychic barrier. Clark and the others outside focused on Tohru.

"Chance!" Despite his broken body, further damaged by the fight's shockwaves, Tohru's eyes lit up. He quickly controlled his dark energy, attempting to escape.
