Few hours earlier....

The door leading to the roof top of a five story building creaked open and a figure walked on the rooftop with two bags , one bag on each hand.

The figure walked to the edge of the rooftop and he dropped both bags on the ground beside him with a thud sound.

"Well this view is good but this is a pain in the ass", "since I may practically spend my whole day here I should enjoy myself too right!!", jack said to himself as he sat down at the edge of the rooftop, he dips his hand into his pocket and he pulled out the device that has always been with Sam , this time it was with him, he is going to use it to monitor the energy readings in this area.

he dips his hand into one of the bags and he brought out a binoculars and he puts it before his eyes, "sharp !!", Jack slowly nodded as he could see Ethan's house clearly, he dips his hand into a bag and he pulled out a pack of popcorn and also a can of soft drink.

"Oh the boys are already going to school", Jack said out loud as he could see Ryan , Ethan and Blake walking out of the house and Bassam waving at them through the binoculars.

"BAM!!", Bassam closed the door behind him as he walked back into the house and he sat on the couch tiredly.

"Creak!!", the sound of door opening drew Bassam's attention as he quickly looked towards the sounds direction and he saw Diana walking out of her room and she walked towards the living room, she found her way to a couch and she sat down.

Silence filled the air as no one spoke for about a minute.

"I think something is wrong", Diana and Bassam broke the silence at the same time.

Silence filled the air again but this time for a few seconds, "how do you know something is wrong?", the both of them asked each other at the same time, altho the incident was funny but the both of them didn't even smile less to laugh.

"You can go first", Bassam said to Diana who nodded.

"I don't just know that something is wrong I know what's the cause of this and you might have been thinking about it too and also dismissing the thought but it's true", Diana paused and she looks at Bassam who has a frown on his face.

"The drink, but how ?", Bassam asked feeling confused.

"I have been having this suspicious feeling since when Mrs woods called me Rebecca's friend which isn't true","I only talked to her once which was when I was told to collect everyone's assignment note by Mr White and her mother called me her daughter's friend", Diana said.

"There was also this look I can't explain in her eyes when she said cheers and everyone gulped their drinks", "I didn't want to drink but I saw Rebecca looking at me with a smile and I decided to only took a sip feeling that nothing will go wrong but i was wrong", Diana shook her head as she said.

"I didn't give you my drink to harm you or anything", "I just gave it to you since Blake and Ethan didn't give you theirs", "sorry for pulling you into this mess" , Diana apologized feeling guilty.

"No need to be sorry, I don't even blame you for it as you don't know anything like this is going to happen", "but do you think Ethan and the others would have noticed?", Bassam asked.

"I don't know who would first notice but I think someone should probably be guessing something is wrong", Diana shrugged as she said.

"it's probably Billy who is behind all this",Bassam gritted his teeth as he said.

"who would be behind this if not him" , "I can't say for sure but there seems to be a witch assisting him", Diana said with uncertainty.

"If there is truly a witch assisting him things might get messier", Bassam said with a deep frown.

"What do we do ?", "what if Billy is unto us?", Bassam asked.

"l don't know what to do,I would have suggested we find somewhere to hide but what if we are just playing into their hand, even if we want to hide where will we go since Raymond is still with us, what we can do right now is to be on guard against anything", Diana explain to Bassam who could only sigh.

"Can you fight in this your current state" , Diana asked .

"I can, but I don't know how much power my punch can pack in this my present state", Bassam shock his head as he said

"Well half bread is better than none, I don't know if I can find a cure for this problem but I will keep looking if I can find anything", Diana said.

"Okay then good luck", Bassam said to Diana who was already walking back to her room.

Bassam stood up and walked up the stairs with his hand wrestling on the hand rails.

"Creak!", Bassam opened the door to his room and the sight of Raymond lying down on the bed with his eyes wide open greeted his gaze.

"Uncle Bassam good morning" ,Raymond sat up right as he greeted bassan.

"Good morning how are you?" , bassan asked.

" I'm fine, uncle bassan are you All Right your face looks strange?" , Raymond asked Bassan worriedly .

"Silly boy I'm fine",Bassam ruffled Raymond's hair as he seats down beside him.

"Raymond I want you to do something for me" , Bassam paused for a bit and he looks at Raymond who was also looking at him .

"I want you to stay in this room no matter what you hear or see until Ethan comes back, can you do that for me ?", Bassam asked Raymond in a pleading tone.

"I should just stay in this room no matter what happens until Uncle Ethan comes back right?" , Raymond asked and Bassam nodded in reply.

"Ok then I won't come out until uncle Ethan gets back", Raymond nodded as he said.

"Uncle Bassam is everything alright?" , Raymond asked worriedly.

"Silly boy don't stress yourself everything is fine" , Bassam ruffled Raymond's hair with a smile and the boy too also smiled.

After playing with Raymond for sometime the boy fell asleep and Bassam lay him on the bed then he walked back downstairs.

hours later Diana and Bassam were in the living room.

It won't be long before the school is closed for the day, Bassam said to Diana.

"I know that, but we shouldn't let our guards down cause anything can still happen before the others get back", Diana said with a hint of uneasiness in her tone.

"You are right and I'm still on guard", Bassam clenched his fist as he said.

"Are you sure the effects of this thing is going to wore out by itself", Bassam asked doubting.

"I won't say I'm a hundred percent sure but based on my speculation it should wore out by itself", Diana nodded as she said.

"I hope wore out soon", Bassam said with a bit of hope.

Meanwhile...

At the rooftop where Jack was , several empty popcorn packs accompanied by several empty drink cans, Jack dips his into one of the bag and he pulled out a popcorn pack.

"Jeez just three packs left", Jack muttered with a frown as he began munching on the popcorn, he grabbed the binoculars and he looks into it and he puts it down not long after.

"Wait what's that", Jack muttered as he hurriedly looks into the binoculars again.

A van got parked opposite Ethan's house and six figures came out of the van and a frown slowly crept on Jack's face as his gaze lingered on one of the figures.

"Phillip!!", Jack angrily clenched his fist tightly around the binoculars and it gave creaking sound under the force of his tight grip.

The figures soon got to Ethan's door.

"Knock !!", "Knock !!", "Knock !!!",

Hi guy's I'm sorry for going offff but the thing is that I've been studying for my exam which begins on Monday so I just wrote this one to inform you guys that I may not be able to write so I can focus on my exam , please bare wit me till I'm done with my exam and I will resume writing as usual Thank you all.
