Chapter 834: Reunion After Two Years [Part 1]
As Sherry opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the young man sleeping beside her.
Two years had passed since she first traveled with Zion in Solterra. From that time on, the young lady had grown into a young beauty who made almost every young man look in her direction whenever she walked the streets on her own.
There were even a few incidents when some fools assumed she was a helpless young lady they could mess with.
Unfortunately for them, she was no longer the girl whom Thirteen needed to protect all the time.
Sherry had grown more confident about herself and no longer felt inferior to others.
She could even defeat Wanderers with higher rank after the training she received from her fiance, who was currently sleeping peacefully beside her.
A slight blush appeared on her face as she remembered the things that happened the night before.
Without her "sisters" competing for Zion's attention, she had the monopoly over his time and attention.
But she understood that the time had finally come for the others to finally reunite with him.
It was for this reason that she asked him to embrace her last night. She wanted to have him for herself for one last time before they arrived at the Temple of Zaphiel to pick up Shana and Diana.
Not wanting to wake him up, Sherry moved toward the window of their room to look at the town where they had stopped for the night.
The sun had just risen from the east, casting rays of light on the world as if to tell everyone that another day was about to start.
Suddenly, Sherry felt someone hug her from behind.
"Good morning," Zion said before covering his and the young lady's body with a blanket, keeping her warm.
"Good morning, Zion," Sherry replied, leaning her body against the teenage boy's chest, allowing him to hold her tight. "You're so lively so early in the morning."
Sherry could feel little Zion pressing on her back, causing a slight blush to appear on her face as she briefly imagined the teenage boy eating her up before they had breakfast together.
"You're thinking about something lewd, right?" Thirteen asked in a teasing tone, which made the redness on the young lady's face turn a shade redder.
"No, I'm not." Sherry denied. "You're the one thinking lewd thoughts because you thought of it first."
"Really?"
"Really."
"So, you don't want it?"
"… You bully."
Thirteen smiled faintly before planting a kiss on the young lady's cheek. Although he didn't mind eating her up, they still had a lot of things to do before they could continue on their journey.
"Let's wash up first, then have breakfast," Thirteen said. "It will still take us half a day of travel to reach the Temple of Zaphiel."
Sherry nodded. "Un."
The two teenagers then took a bath together and only came out an hour and a half later.
Clearly, both of them decided to eat something else first before going down to the tavern for breakfast.
"Have you heard? It seems that the outbreaks of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Gates in the Cygni Continent are going crazy," a sharp-eyed Wanderer said. "The irony is that the higher-tiered gates would only be opening three to four months from now."
"When those things finally start dumping monsters, we might lose another continent to the Jinns." A chubby Wanderer nodded. "Hah… these are tough times to live in."
"Relax, I heard that the Monarch Clans and the Prestigious Families are going all out this time. Even the Dvalinn Federation is going to send their troops to the Cygni Continent."
"Will their Monarch, Wendell Elrod, come?"
"According to reliable sources, he will."
"If we lose this battle, only the Sirius and the Aldebaran Continent will remain. The place where humanity can live will shrink once again."
"Don't be pessimistic, brother. This time, we have Zion Leventis acting as Supreme Commander. There's a chance to win."
"That's right! He is successful in reclaiming some of the lands in the Rigel Continent, so we might see a miracle again."
The Wanderers inside the tavern discussed the upcoming Jinn Invasion, not knowing that the person they were talking about was eating not far from their table.
Thirteen was wearing a hood that covered his head, so people didn't recognize him.
Also, it had been two years since people had seen Zion, so they might not recognize him right away.
He had grown taller, and although he still looked young, his gaze was that of a person who had spent many years fighting on the battlefield.
Sherry, who was quite happy that her fiance was being praised by others, smirked at the teenage boy seated across her.
"Eat and stop smiling like a fool," Thirteen stated. "Did my thrusts earlier turn your brain into mush?"
The young lady rolled her eyes at the teenage boy's words and ate her food with a face filled with injustice.
Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire
During the past two years they had been together, Thirteen would often tease her as he liked how easily Sherry reacted to them.
Although he still retained his aloof and cold personality in the presence of strangers, he now developed this side that felt more human than ever before.
Sherry had done a lot of work to bring out this side of Zion, for this was the responsibility Erica and Shana had assigned to her during their absence.
At first, after Thirteen returned to his usual self, Sherry had a hard time trying to bring out the more human side of him.
Fortunately, the teenage boy didn't reject her advances and even cooperated with her.
Truth be told, Zion understood that in order to beat Fate, he needed to beat her in her own game.
And since he was certain that there might come a time when Sherry, Erica, and Shana would be used against him as his weakness, the teenage boy was trying to understand his feelings so that he would be more emotionally prepared when this tribulation came to pass.
After eating their meal, the two left the town and went to a secluded place before summoning Rocky.
But just as they were about to head to their destination, the teenage boy felt a tingling sensation in his finger, where he had worn the Ring of the Apocalypse.
"Rocky, head to the Temple," Thirteen ordered. "Sherry, I'll be back in a bit."
"Okay," Sherry nodded.
The teenage boy then vanished from where he stood as he directly teleported to the Order of the Apocalypse.
When he arrived, he saw Paimon grinning at him with a young lady standing beside her.
When Zion's gaze landed on the beautiful Sorceress, whom he hadn't seen for the past two years, a surprised look appeared on his face.
Not only did Erica look more beautiful and sexier than before, but the presence she was exuding was also that of someone who had stepped in the ranks of a Master.
She was only nineteen years old, and yet, she was now a full-fledged Master, which could be considered a True Prodigy in Pangea.
Erica walked confidently toward Zion and hugged him.
"Missed me?" Erica asked in a sexy and seductive voice.
"Yes," Thirteen replied because this was what he truly felt.
"Good," Erica smiled before kissing his cheek. "We have a lot of catching up to do. You won't be getting any sleep tonight."
"Oh my~" Paimon giggled because she had already expected that this was going to happen.
But just as she was about to tease the two lovebirds, two portals appeared beside her.
Camazotz and Kamrusepa emerged from them with smiles on their faces.
A moment later, two teenagers emerged from the portals, and they were none other than Derek and Mildred, who had also finished their training a few days ago.
