Chapter 15: 15. Silver-Haired
In Glory City, the name "Shen" was synonymous with power and influence. It belonged to the Sacred Family, one of the most formidable clans, second only to the prestigious Snow Wind Family.
The Sacred Family's wealth and political power were deeply entrenched in the city's fabric, casting their shadow over nearly every major business venture. Their ranks were filled with experts, from bronze to black gold, each a force to be reckoned with.
Among them was Shen Ye, the pampered grandson of Shen Ming, the acting patriarch of the Sacred Family.
From the moment of his birth, Shen Ye had everything handed to him on a silver platter. His every wish was fulfilled, his every desire granted.
Despite his mediocre talent—only a 3rd-ranked bronze fighter at sixteen, a level that barely matched commoners without proper backing—no one dared mock him, not with the formidable support of his grandfather.
Shen Ye had grown into a little tyrant, known for his cruety. Servants and maids had perished under his hands, their lives snatched without consequence.
A few weeks prior, while tormenting a commoner in a small street near the slums, Shen Ye's eyes had fallen upon a vision of unparalleled beauty.
A girl with lustrous silver hair—so rare it seemed otherworldly—and an enchanting face that left him breathless. His heart raced, and his mind filled with wicked thoughts.
This girl's beauty rivaled even that of the City Lord's wife which was hailed as the most beautiful woman among humanity.
Shen Ye was entranced, captivated by the idea that such a treasure could exist in the slums.
Driven by his obsession, he chased after her with all his might, but she vanished into thin air.
The encounter left a mark on him, a singular obsession that took root deep within his mind.
"This girl is mine," he thought, the words echoing in his brain, his breaths growing ragged whenever he remembered her.
Determined to claim her, Shen Ye mobilized the full investigative power of the Sacred Family.
His men scoured the slums for any trace of the silver-haired beauty.
The investigation revealed that she was an orphan, raised in obscurity within the slums.
Few knew of her existence, as she rarely appeared in public, and when she did, she vanished quickly.
Shen Ye was undeterred. He ordered his men to monitor the slums closely, convinced that she would resurface. His patience paid off. After just a few days, the girl appeared once more.
The moment he received the news, Shen Ye rushed to the slums, his heart pounding with anticipation. And there she was, standing before him—the girl who haunted his dreams.
She was young, no older than thirteen, dressed in a simple white kimono.
Despite the plainness of her attire and the absence of any adornments, she radiated a dazzling beauty that left Shen Ye in awe. His obsession deepened, and the lust in his eyes was unmistakable.
For Shen Ye, this was a moment of triumph. He had found the treasure he sought, and nothing would stand in his way. The silver-haired girl was his, or so he believed.
The more Shen Ye gazed at the silver-haired girl, the stronger the desire that burned within him.
His lust clouded his mind, pushing rational thought aside.
Initially, he had planned to use brute force to abduct the girl. After all, she was a commoner, untrained in cultivation, just like many others in the slums who lacked access to cultivation manuals.
Shen Ye was confident that she would be easy prey.
As he began to approach her from a distance, confident in his impending victory, an unexpected figure intervened. An ugly teen, cloaked from head to toe, dashed in and snatched the girl away right in front of Shen Ye's eyes.
Furious beyond measure, Shen Ye's rage boiled over. He immediately ordered his men to search for the two, scouring every corner of the slums day and night.
But it was as if they had vanished into thin air. No trace of their whereabouts could be found.
Realizing brute force alone wouldn't work, Shen Ye forced himself to calm down and devised a new strategy. He decided to exploit the greed and desperation of the slum dwellers by bribing them for information.
As expected, the poor residents were all too eager to sell out their own kin for even the smallest reward.
One individual, claiming to be the ugly teen's best friend, offered to set a trap for him in exchange for a higher payment. Shen Ye readily agreed, barely considering the cost, as the sum level was insignificant to him.
With his underlings in place to ensure the plan's success, Shen Ye awaited the culmination of his efforts.
Finally, the moment arrived. He stood inside a dilapidated house, alone with the silver-haired girl. She was cornered, with no hope of escape.
His desire reached its peak as he scanned her trembling form, the lust in his eyes palpable. His heart raced, and his body responded to his twisted anticipation.
"You have no idea how much I've longed for this moment," Shen Ye sneered. "You're mine now. No one can save you."
He began to undress, savoring the power he believed he held over her. "Big Brother... ," the girl whimpered, her eyes filled with tears as she crouched defensively in the corner. Her hands trembled as she tried to shield herself from him.
"Don't look so frightened," Shen Ye smirked, dismissing her fear. "No girl has ever complained after experiencing the might of Shen Ye."
He stripped off his pants, exposing his pitiful 5cm elephant. Fortunately, the silver-haired girl had closed her eyes, sparing herself from the irony sight.
At that moment, the sound of a scuffle erupted outside the house. Shen Ye cursed under his breath. "Useless fools," he muttered. "Good thing I prepared extra guards."
Just as he was about to proceed, a voice echoed from beside him, causing him to jolt in shock. "Holy crap, dude. Are you serious? You couldn't deflower a girl with that tiny stick."
Shen Ye's heart nearly leaped out of his chest as he spun around. "Who are you? How dare you insult this young master!" he shrieked, his voice rising in panic.
His eyes landed on the intruder-a young boy, partially concealed by a cloak.
Ignoring Shen Ye's outburst, Ye Xinghan turned his attention to the silver-haired girl.
She had cautiously opened her eyes, startled by the sudden turn of events.
"Don't be afraid," Ye Xinghan said gently. "You're safe now. I'm here at your brother's request. What's your name?"
The girl, still trembling and unsure, hesitated before softly replying, "Me? I'm Ume."
Hearing her name, Ye Xinghan offered a reassuring smile. "Ume, everything is going to be okay now."
