Chapter 9: LEAVING THE PACK
I watched in horror as my clothes were being packed up into boxes by the maids and then taken away this was insane!
I didn't even know this man and all of a sudden he was my mate and had even marked me!
And to make matters worse I was going to live with him?
I wanted to weep.
I didn't even have a best friend because I had caught her fucking my mate.
I was all alone.
The door to my bedroom opened and my aunt came in.
"Hey." She peeked. "I wanted to check up on you."
I pushed my mouth and sulked.
She sighed, came into the room and sat down beside me on my bed.
"I know you aren't happy about this." My aunt started to say.
"Happy? I am being forced to go with someone i don't even know." I wept in agony. "He even marked me! Knows where my mark is".
And then I remembered how he had openly in front of everyone admitted to saying that my mate mark was in between my legs and I went red in shame.
"Well… I can't give an answer to your questions. Only the goddess knows best." my Aunt said as she tucked my hair behind my ear.
"What do you know about this Alpha Alaric and his night water pack. I thought he was only a myth." I expressed.
My aunt shrugged. "I thought so too. The story we all grew up hearing was that after the curse laid on all the packs, the night water pack was isolated. They along with five other packs vanished. We all suffered the division. The remains six of us here were able to remain on our ground and the border with humans broke. We mixed. We have never had an encounter with the other packs until now. We still suffer from the curse as you know, but it became a story overtime. No one knew how true any of it was. Until now."
I felt a shiver.
I was going to a place I didn't even know existed.
A place where I most likely would never see my family again.
"But I don't want to go." Sybil said. "He looks ancient. He dresses ancient too."
My aunt giggled. "They are probably backward in technology."
I said nothing and then she gently rubbed my arms. "Don't worry I am certain that your father and I would have figured a way to set you free. Just hang on."
There was a knock at the door.
"That's your cue."
I was dressed in a white top and denim shorts.
I didn't care what anyone said. I was going this way.
The guards opened the door and then I was led down the stairs to where they all awaited.
My new found mate looked down at my clothes in disapproval.
Good. At least there was something about me that pissed me off.
We walked to where the cars were packed and then he said. "We don't use those where I come from."
Was he kidding?
And to my shock he turned to a series of horses.
