The Ancient Wizards Apprentice

Chapter 2: Chapter 1

"Sunny, someones asking for you!" A young girl with light brown hair screamed. The women called sunny quickly rushed towards the double doors where the girl called for her stood.

"Is it... Him?" She asked with a worried look. The girl with light brown hair. The girl with light brown hair, sharing the same look replied back. "It is, and... He's not alone. Should I start preparing?"

Sunny starts frantically searching her desk, grabbing multiple inks, papers, and odd shaped objects. She throws them all in a bag and hands it to the girl. "Go down in the basement and start constructing it. Tell the other girls. It'll take a few hours to finish. Don't let anyone else know except you four."

Sunny pats her clothes down and quickly fixes her hair. "How do I look?" She asks with a forced smile.

"Just beautiful enough to fool them. And I'll be sure to tell the other girls what you told me." The girl clenches the bag in her hand and rushes out another door in the room. If it weren't for her using it, no one would've known it was even there.

Sunny walks out the double door and the aura around her change. From worried and scared to mysterious and confident. She walks towards a large room where 3 men were standing and calmly shakes their hands. "Good evening gentlemen, may I ask what business you have here today?"

"Dont be dumb, you know why we're here. Just give us the book and nothing will happen."

Sunny turns to looks at the man who said that. His ears were pointy, and his eyes had a malicious glint to it. He looked like someone parents would tell their children about to keep them from being naughty.

"I'm really unsure of what you speak of. I'm especially confused on why you're here Conner. I thought you were never gonna accept his contract, as you told me. So why?" Sunny said with a hurt look on her face. "You out of everyone should know that even if I did have the book, which I don't, I wouldn't give it to any of the 7 Great Demons followers. You know what they'll do if they get it!"

The man called connor had long black hair and dark black eyes. He looked at Sunny with an amused look on his face and chuckled. "Who said anything about accepting a contract. I would never set my sights so low. Since we last met I've become more powerful than I've ever been. I'm one step away from becoming a god, but I need the book to make that happen. You see, theres a special spell in that book that will make my dreams come true. If you give me the book I'll also help your dreams come true. I'll bring your lovely son back."

Sunny expression quickly changed from grief to anger. "You dare mention him, like you didn't play a part in it. Because of you, he never got a chance to see the world. How do you plan to bring back a child that was never born? Funny, I'm not dumb enough to fall for your lies. And like I said, I don't have the book. Look else where."

Connors expression went cold. He look at his two companions and signaled them with his eyes. The two ripped a paper and disappeared. "Look Sunny, I will give you until 7am to bring me the book. If I don't have the book before 7am your unborn child won't be the only one you'll be grieving for. Ah, I left a gift for you in the courtyard. Think of it as a gift for carrying my son, even though you didn't do a good job at that, at least you were great in bed. If I get the book before 7am I'll consider taking you back in as my wife."

Sunny looked at him with a disappointed look. "What happened to you? You weren't like this. Keep dreaming I'll never go back to you, and you'll never find the book."

Connor looked at her with a smile and disappeared. She knew that she had to finish the array in less than 20 hours or Connor might actually get his hands on the book.
