The Birth of A Volleyball Legend

"Yuki, you bastard!"

"How dare you, teasing our little goddess like that!"

"Just go to hell, Yuki!"

"I will tell Megumi-senpai that you broke her sister's heart, you know?!"

True enough, news spread so quickly like wildfire. Yuki groaned immediately when right after he entered the gymnasium, all the volleyball players there sent their nastiest, deadliest glare at him. Honestly, if glares could kill, Yuki would've been stabbed to death several times by now, since it wasn't just the volleyball team members who reacted violently like that.

"Where the fuck did you hear about that?" Yuki asked incredulously. After all, it hadn't even been five minutes since the incident happened, and his brain hadn't even managed to proceed with Kato's reaction yet, and here he was, realizing that almost all the people in the school knew about it.

"Humph! Don't underestimate our intelligence, Yuki!" Kaede huffed proudly before showing off his phone. "Here, everything is recorded here!" There, he showed the full video – even though it was just 46 seconds – of what happened in the classroom before. Yuki twitched the corner of his mouth unconsciously, not knowing what to say here. He didn't expect that someone would be 'kind' enough to upload this so quickly, and he was so speechless when he read the name of the social media page there.

"Beauty admirer? Really? Isn't this basically stalking over a girl's life and uploading it to social media secretly?" Yuki asked sarcastically. "Senpai, are you sure that whoever the admin of this page doing is illegal? Also, 'Potential suitor for the little goddess, Yuki Kobayashi, eliminate him.'? Really? What the hell is this caption about? Are you going to send me a hitman or what?"

The incredulous tone of his voice was enough to make some of the people who watched the scene blush in embarrassment. They didn't expect Yuki to react strongly like this, even to the point where the glasses boy dared to mock the page so blatantly like this. After all, this page was used by a lot of people in the school to stalk the pretty girls in their school and their daily lives too, making it possible for those hungry beasts in the sheep clothes to fantasize about those girls.

Yuki himself was curious about this page. Since Kaede's phone was still in his hand, he couldn't help but check what was inside that page. However, the more he scrolled through it, the more his face turned ugly. There, he saw the page dedicated to posting the daily life of all the pretty girls in the school, and honestly, that alone was enough to creep most of the girls in this school. Most of the photos that were uploaded there were either Megumi's or Arina Sugawara's, but there were also some from the beautiful girl called Inoue from the sophomore year. However, in the last couple of days, Kato's photos were uploaded there with the title 'Little Goddess', and somehow, almost all of her activities in the school were recorded there. Fortunately, this page didn't try to follow her after school was over, or they would find out that she went to the orphanage quite often, and the scandal would be bigger than this.

'Still, I need to talk to the teachers about this.' Yuki thought inwardly.

His attention drifted away to the commotion that was happening outside of the gymnasium. When he glanced over the door, he saw some of the students there trying to prevent the Kikugawa High players from entering the building. That was when he realized that almost all the students here didn't know about Akira's plan, and since the animosity between the two schools was still pretty high, this kind of scene should've been expected here.

"What the hell are you trying to do here, Gay Bastard!"

"Do you really want to make trouble again even after losing the game?!"

"Get the fuck out of here!"

Fortunately, Asahi, the team's captain and the boy who still had a pretty good reputation among the students here reacted quickly. Even though he was pushed and squeezed around by the students there, the boy still managed to arrive in the middle of the conflict and interrupted everyone before they could go too far.

"Okay, everyone! That is enough! They are here because of Akira-sensei's request!" He shouted, stopping the commotion instantly. All the students there turned their attention to Asahi, looking at the boy skeptically.

"No offense, Asahi-kun, but why would Akira-sensei ask for these losers' help?" One of the students there asked. Almost all the Kikugawa players had this thick vein on their forehead, ready to retort back. Hell, Kaito even wanted to say something snarky here, but the glare Suzuki sent at him was enough to shut the boy up. After all, they were outnumbered here, so provoking the students here would be a suicidal move.

Asahi spent the next few minutes repeating Akira's explanation, from the problem the team possessed due to the lack of players to train to the agreement that Akira made with Arisawa Junya, everyone finally accepted Kikugawa players' presence here. However, they still warned the guests to not cause trouble, since the last time their players visited here, Kaito and Yusuke made quite a ruckus in this building.

"We will watch you, okay? Especially you two! Don't think we forgot about what you did before the game, okay?!" The representative of the students there glared at Kaito fiercely.

Of course, Kaito could only scratch the back of his head sheepishly, knowing full well that he was the one who was at fault here. Hell, even some of his teammates gave him a stinky glare, promising him a painful experience after this. Fortunately, the Tsunemori students who blocked their way to enter the building finally relented and let them in, even helping them condition the volleyball court.

"So, are we finally going to start training?" Riku, who had been quiet since the beginning, finally asked.

"No, not yet." Asahi shook his head. "However, you can start warming up first before Akira-sensei arrives here. I mean, even though it has only been two days since we played a game, we only have a short time to prepare for the semifinal, and with the presence of Kikugawa High here, I am sure that the training would be different and tougher than before. So, get ready, everyone!"
