Chapter 55: Regal Elegance
***The time has come to unveil the dress, that is the end of what we know and the beginning of what's to come***
After getting help from Amelia with the undergarments for her dress, Amelia and Dahlia make their way back to Ethel and Mary. "Oh you're finally finished" Mary says with a smirk. "Yeah was a bit of a challenge but we survived" Amelia said with a chuckle.
"Without help, I probably wouldn't of survived" Dahlia stated, standing embarrassed in her undergarments. "Well now that you finished let's unveil this dress" Ethel stated. Dahlia nodded her head in agreement. The suspense was becoming unbearable.
They walked over to the bag that was carefully placed on the couch waiting to make it's first impressions. Dahlia grew more anxious as Ethel started to unzip the bag. Dahlia was at the peak of her anxiety. Mary and Amelia stood in anticipation and excitement.
"Here it is" Ethel states as she gently pulls the dress out for all to see. Dahlia's fear and anxieties melt away and it's replaced by amazement and admiration for their craftsmanship. "This...this is for me?" Dahlia asks sheepishly.
"Well of course my dear, only the best for our Luna and future queen" Mary stated. "This must have taken you forever to make" Dahlia said with a tear coming from her eye. "Oh child, stop that, you deserve so much more" Ethel stated sternly. "Go on, put it on" Mary states with encouragement.
"Right, let's do this" Dahlia said with confidence. The three women removed the dress from the bag and prepared to place it on Dahlia. "Dahlia, we are going to slip this over your head. It would be easiest if you put your arms up, like you were getting ready to dive" Ethel states. "Like this" Dahlia says as she throws her arms up over her head to make a perfect triangle. "Yes, that's perfect!" Mary exclaimed.
The women slowly slipped the dress over Dahlia's head and made sure nothing was out of place. Ethel smoothed out the arms of the dress. Mary buttoned the back of her dress and Amelia was hyper focused on fixing the skirt and train of the dress. Ethel rolled over the old antique cheval mirror and placed it in front of Dahlia.
***Daliah's POV***
I stand there, standing in the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. Who is this woman looking back at me? Standing before this mirror, I see a strong elegant woman, who has passed a vital milestone from child, to woman. The dress has sex appeal, hugging in all the right places, yet graceful and elegant. I look Regal, I look like a queen.
The meticulously crafted mermaid dress, was two tone. The main fabric was a brownish gold. Laid over it was black lace. The sleeves were intertwined with the lace and they danced together up towards my neck, held together by some kind of sheer fabric. The neckline of the dress came up high, almost like a choker necklace. The bodice of the dress had a deep V line. It would be embarrassing but the sheer fabric and lace weave a design to cover my my breasts. I look at the skirt and it shares the same design and the skirt flares just after my knees. The train is small and manageable. I turn to look at the back of the dress, and I see that the back is bare and it also has a deep plunge line, stopping a few inches before my butt. The back is buttoned together at the neckline.
While I was observing and getting used to this dress on me, I completely forgot I had an audience. In the mirror I see Mary, Ethel, my dad, Amelia and Jackson looking back at me. I turn around to talk to them. To my surprise all but Jackson had tears in his eyes.
"Well what do you think?" Dahlia asks the crowd. "You look so beautiful" my father replies as he is moments away from ugly crying. "It fits you perfect !" Amelia says. "My dear girl, that dress makes you look like a queen" Mary stated through tears. Ethel looked at her sister and smiled. "Dahlia, the dress is a mere extension of the power, grace and elegance you already posses" Ethel stated. "You look beautiful my Luna" Jackson says with admiration. "Any fool that doesn't believe so, doesn't deserve you" Jackson added in as he bows. After he bows every single person in front of her shows her the respect that they feel she deserves and bows their head to acknowledge their queen.
Dahlia blushed. "Enough of that" Dahlia stated. "Your look isn't complete without the perfect shoes" Dahlias father stated as he hands her a box. "Please tell me their not expensive" Dahlia groaned. "They are the same as last time, but match your dress perfectly. "Louis Vuitton!" Dahlia screamed. Amelia chuckled. Dahlia carefully slipped them on and her look was almost complete.
"The day of the gathering, we will place your hair in some kind of up do" Ethel stated as she ponders with her hand on her chin. "Oh, that would be perfect" Mary stated. "Yes, I definitely agree on the up do" Amelia stated. They briefly stood in silence while taking in the power and grace, that was deipping feom their Luna. "How do you feel my dear?" Ethel asked. Dahlia thought before a moment. "I have been worried about so much, but this dress changed all that. I feel beautiful, graceful and Regal. Thank you so much" Dahlia exclaimed.
"Did you notice the special touch I added?" Asked Amelia. Dahlia turned bright red and she was embarrassed she didn't know what she was talking about. Amelia smiled. "Here, I'll show you" Amelia stated. Amelia walked over to Dahlia and pointed at the lace design. "The pattern that is woven is actually the celestial wolf Cresent. The same one you and your wolf share. I made sure to make it small so it didn't look tacky. I also infused the smallest rhinestones to Give it the shine it deserves" Amelia stated woth a smile. Dahlia was shocked. Amelia was right, the pattern was so small that you couldn't tell from a single glance. Dahlia was so embarrassed she thought they were small flower designs. "That is amazing, I am so sorry I didn't notice" Dahlia explained.
"It's okay, I also infused the dress fabric with protection magic. If anyone around you has I'll intent or dark magic intentions, your dress will let off a purple hue, and it will alert me instantly" Amelia said. Mary and Ethel stood their surprised. "When did you do this Amelia?" Mary asked. "The first time I saw the dress" Amelia stated with a smile. "Very clever girl" Ethel stated. "Okay, boys back out, we need to get the dress and undergarments off and make sure they are cleaned for tomorrow, now shoo" Ethel said sternly.
Taking the dress off went super fast before I knew it, I was back in my comfy clothes and athletics. Mary had already packed the dress and shoes up. "It's getting late my dears, us old folks have an early bedtime, come see us midday so we can get ready together. Tell your father goodbye for us, we will see you soon" Ethel stated. "Thank you so much for everything, we will see you later" Dahlia says as she waves goodnight. Amelia waves and she strides behind Dahlia.
They walk back into the tea room to meet her father and Jackson. "Mary and Ethel said to tell you goodbye and they will see us midday tomorrow" Dahlia stated. "Right, it is getting late" Ethan states looking at his wrist watch. "Well off we go, let me make us a later dinner" Ethan states as he locks his arm with Dahlia as they make their way to the exit. Amelia and Jackson follow suit as they leave the quaint tea house.
