The Boundless Journey

From the light, a mysterious device could be seen. The device was like a globe but inside the globe was a mysterious blackness along with some light shimmering in it.

Arial lowered her hand and gave the Traveller to Max. Max quickly extended his hand as soon as he realised Arial was giving it to him. As the artifact left Arial's palm. It started to hover on Max's palm.

It hovered for a moment before it slowly landed in his palm. The Traveller didn't have much weight to it. But it did exude some mysterious energy. As Max looked inside the globe, the abyss like darkness drew to him. As he couldn't get his eyes off the globe.

"Ahem"

It was Arial. Max regained his focus back. He quickly realised how he was acting , he got flustered. Max's face flushed red and he averted his gaze in embarrassment , scratching the back of his head.

"That is the traveller. I will place it in your soul so, you can use it anytime and no one can steal it.Also the energy from the traveller will get absorbed by your soul, which will strengthen it a little over time."

Arial then lifted her hand and waved a little. The traveller hovered above Max's palm and shot in his chest. As the Traveller enter his body, a glowing aura filled his body. As the glowing aura filled his body he saw a fleeting image of the vast, endless cosmos.His heart raced by what he had just experienced.

Max felt something within him, something divine but also unknown to his body or his existence. Max got a little comfortable by the new feeling inside of him. He couldn't pin point where exactly he was feeling this but it was there.

Arial then spoke,"So now that you have your wish granted , it is time for the Echo.",looking towards Echo.

"Hmm..do you want to give Echo something as well?", confused by what Arial had just said, Max asked.

"Well since he is a part of you I should give him something as well. But he has just been born, I doubt he has any desires or anything he wants.", Arial started to ponder on what to give the little dragon.

"I believe this will suit him best ", after thinking for sometime she found something.

Arial then lifted her hand and grabbed the staff which was floating next to her. She moved the staff in a circular manner , a golden energy started to form on the top of her staff. The energy was very beautiful looking giving a sense of warmth. As the energy started to condense at one point it formed a ball. The ball became 2-3 inches big. Arial guided the ball towards Echo.

As the ball of energy floated towards Echo, he started to feel a little scared by the unknown object floating towards him. Trying to cower within Max's arm.

"Don't worry Echo, this won't harm you at all", Max noticed that Echo had started to crawl into his arms. He reassured Echo that this won't harm, not like Arial wanted to harm them anyways.

Hearing those words from Max, Echo stopped cowering into his arms, but he was still unsure about the ball of energy heading towards him.The energy then collided with Echo and the energy got absorbed by him.

The energy flowed within him, reaching all the parts of his body. This made his body glow with the same color as the ball of energy was, from the outside.

"Wow that was terrifying, I thought that this was the end for me."

Max was shocked. Because the above sentence was spoken not by him not was it Arial. It was Echo. This was the first time he had spoken a word in the time they were together. Max thought that as he was just a newborn bady dragon he won't be able to speak now, but maybe in the future. He didn't think , that future will come so soon.

"I have given him some divine energy, as his body naturally absorbed it as he is a Soul Dragon which has much closer origins to the divine and mystical energies, so it had given him the ability to speak and think like normal people, much faster than normal dragons do. This might be good for you, Max, as this will give you a companion in your journey.", said Arial.

"I mean that is kind of true that I will be great to have someone to talk to in my journey.", Max said excitedly.

"Also since Echo was born in your soul he can now access to your memories and can feel your emotions too and vice versa."

Max lifted Echo up and looked him in his eyes. He was trying to see if he could feel what Echo was currently feeling. Slowly he could feel a hint of happiness from Echo, also there was excitement mixed in it.

"Amazing I can feel what he is feeling. This will be helpful. You are my first family I have ever made in my life. I will always protect you.", as the two were sharing a moment, Arial spoke.

" Now that we have dealt with all the things, you should leave for you journey. Your soul may not be able to handle the divine energy in this realm."

Max got alerted by the words Arial just spoke. Arial stood up from her seat and walked in one random direction. After walking a few steps in that direction, she pulled her hand in front of her. A second later a portal appeared in front of them.

"The path before you is vast and unknown, Max.Walk it with courage, kindness and curiosity. The answer you seek will come only if you dare to ask the right questions. Go now - your destiny awaits."

As Arial spoke to Max, he picked up Echo in his arms, and stood in front of the portal unsure of his future ahead. But still happier than his past life. He was looking forwards for what was coming when he walks in this portal.

Max looked one last time towards Arial, thankful towards her by what she had done for him. As he smiled towards Arial he sensed something wrong with Arial as if she was concerned about something. Dismissing this as something he had just imagined, Max jumped into the portal.

As Max jumped into the portal, it closed behind him. Arial waited for sometime looking towards something in the distance.

"How long are you going to hide, toh can't mask your presence in this realm. This is my domain, and nothing can go unnoticed here. Come out."

A dark slash like portal formed in the distance and as soon as the portal formed. The entire space in the realm shattered. It showed that whoever made that portal had enough power to destroy the space-time in Arial's domain.
