The Case Where I, The Strongest Mercenary, was Reincarnated as a Bullied, Introverted High School Student – With My Unbeatable Fighting Skills, I Rule the School and Underworld

Chapter 6 - Start of the Reincarnated Mercenary

“Am I alive? Am I dead?”

“This time I wake up under the bed, praying that my neck isn’t tight.”

The reason I hid immediately was because I was wary of being attacked by the enemy.

However, now I knew from the memories of Fushimi Jinta, the original owner of this body, that this place was my room.

“The memory may have settled while I was unconscious.”

Could the headache earlier have been the strain of synchronising memories for two people in this body?

It’s hard to believe, but that’s what I can reckon with when I sort out reality.

I crawl out from under the bed and lightly stretch my aching body.

“Anyway, I’m reincarnated in this guy’s body (Fushimi Jinta) and can move freely.”

“Ah, ah, cough. ‘Give me 9mm bullets,’ ‘Révélez l’emplacement de mes camarades,’ ‘Enemigo visto al frente derecho,’ ‘du verdammter Bastard,’ ‘咱们地狱见.'”

English, French, Spanish, German, and Chinese

I tried speaking some of the languages I had learned while working as a mercenary.

No Japanese high school student could speak this well.

This means that my (Ryuji Miyamoto’s) memory of being a mercenary also remains, along with my personality.

The completely different voice is unsettling, though.

Fushimi Jinta. I don’t know how my soul got into his body, which I have nothing to do with.

Or maybe it was because of his wish before he hanged himself, which I remember.

” ‘I want to become an invincible, powerful creature like a dragon when I’m reborn’… huh?”

Invincible dragon—as a mercenary, I was indeed called that.

But if I were truly invincible, I wouldn’t die from a missile explosion.

“For now, I know I’m safe, so should I cut this damn awful hair?”

Fushimi Jinta’s hair was long and blocked his vision.

And above all, this hair was the main reason for his unimpressive appearance.

The reason he didn’t cut it short was probably something like, ‘Dojima would say I’m cocky and beat me up’, or maybe his slave mentality was deeply ingrained.

I don’t know when I will return this body to Fushimi Jinta, but until then, it’s my body.

He was about to discard this body, so I’ll make use of it.

I picked up the scissors that saved my life.

Then, I went to the sink and used the scissors to cut my hair short.

(But for the sake of my sister and mother… huh?)

“Even though I risked my life to protect Japan from missiles, he’s gone and committed suicide.”

That’s what I thought, but when I looked into Fushimi Jinta’s memories, I realised that he had been doing his best to protect his family in his own way.

In that aspect, I could empathise with him, as I became a mercenary to protect my family back in Japan.

Suicide was probably just a result of being drunk, so I’ll let it slide.

After finishing cutting my hair, I looked at myself in the washstand’s reflection.

The mercenary who had taken on the face of Fushimi Jinta, Ryuji Miyamoto, smirked.

“What’s with the…? You’ve got a pretty good look, don’t you?

The face that should have been dull in Jinta Fushimi’s memory

However, now the sharpness of a mercenary was burning in the depths of his eyes.
