Chapter 32 – The Abyssal Rewrite

Jihwan and Sohyun sprinted through the collapsing corridor, their footsteps echoing as cracks spread across the walls. Ink bled from the fractures, twisting reality into something unreadable.

Sohyun cursed under her breath, flipping through the pages of her book. "This world is breaking apart faster than I expected."

Jihwan didn't slow. "Because it's not meant to exist."

Another tremor. The air warped, distorting the space ahead of them. A black chasm split open in their path—a void of unwritten possibility.

> [System Warning: Abyssal Rewrite in Progress.]

[Unsafe Passage Detected.]

Sohyun skidded to a stop. "We can't cross that."

Jihwan didn't stop moving. He flipped open his book, his fingers grazing the golden letters. Rewrite. He needed to reshape this space before it erased them first.

> [Command: Establish a Path.]

The golden text flared, and for a brief moment, the world hesitated. The abyss stilled, struggling against his command. Then—reality resisted.

> [Error: Rewrite Overwritten.]

Jihwan's breath hitched.

Something—or someone—was interfering with his authority.

Then, a voice.

"Trying to control the uncontrollable, are we?"

Jihwan barely had time to react before the air itself twisted, and the Unwritten stepped out of the abyss, his ink-like form rippling as if reality refused to acknowledge him. His cold smile was unreadable, his golden eyes gleaming with amusement.

"You're stubborn. I admire that." The Unwritten tilted his head. "But this world… It's no longer yours to command."

Jihwan's grip on his book tightened. The Unwritten was erasing his very ability to shape the world.

Sohyun tensed beside him, flipping her own book open. "We fight?"

Jihwan exhaled. "We fight."

And the battle began.
