Chapter 50: Chapter - 48 Green Magic Tower [1]
"That's about all I can remember," Cassin said with a half yawn, "at least off the top of my head."
I nodded and shifted my gaze to the wooden floorboards, letting my mind wander over the bits of information I'd gathered.
Cassin's tale turned out to be more of a lengthy exposition filled with personal biases and a gloomy outlook, primarily aimed at critiquing the injustices of society, particularly those surrounding Eugene Lionheart. While some of the information had its merits, the overall tone was quite biased.
"It seems Eugene has managed to enter the Agroth royal library, Akron," Edward mused, a faint grin on his face.
Though he already knew the information from his short interaction with Tempest, it still was a shock to hear that someone so young entered Akaron while not being of arch-mage status.
"It would seem unfair to those oblivious," Edward thought. "But from my short interaction with the lad. I can clearly recall his hard-working nature and hot-blooded attitude, while at a glance it may not seem to be a suitable fit, but in the end, It had worked from what I can understand"
"If that's all I shall take my leave," Edward said
Rising from his seat, Edward stood tall, reached into his subspace, and produced a few thousand sals, handing them over to Cassin.
Stunned, Cassin stared at the generous sum with disbelief.
"I think this is more than I asked for…" Casein thought as he held the large pouch of gold near his face.
Reading the youth's intent change to a pigment of orange, Edward nodded, as the detected feelings of relief mixed with guilt.
"As I said a few hours ago, there is no need to fret," pausing for a moment Edward continued " I hope we meet again, and I wish you well in your endeavors," With a gesture, he turned and headed toward the exit.
"Well, I guess I'll catch you later," Cassin called out as he watched Edward's departing silhouette.
"What a strange guy…"

Exiting the cluttered bookstore Edward was met with a great view of the sprawling city.
Streets of the dozen each formed with complex shapes and patterns. Vendors stood by the street corners offering odd goods to passerbyers.
Even though night had fallen, the city pulsated with life. A sea of hundreds filled the wide thoroughfares of the capital, each person engaged in animated conversations, sharing the latest news about magical lore, recent discoveries, or recounting their troubles in attempting to enter a magic tower.
"Please… please let me pass this exam so I can enter a Tower of Magic…" one voice pleaded.
"This will be my eleventh try. Just let me at least reach the interview stage…"
As he tuned out the surrounding chatter, Edward couldn't help but reflect. "So this is the true Pentagon of Aroth," he thought, reminiscing about his brief stint studying abroad in Aroth, cut short by boredom before he could truly appreciate the city's wonders.
quickly adjusted his clothing, tucking in his baggy shirt and smoothing out his crinkled pants. Feeling content with his modest appearance, he decided to stroll through the vibrant streets.
This leisurely walk allowed Edward to calm his inner turmoil, all while marveling at the dazzling array of structures around him. Occasionally, he'd catch a glimpse of a street performer casting simple spells, captivating a crowd of wide-eyed children.
It was a reminder of humanity's beauty, a mix of both its splendor and darkness. Edward thought as he blatantly witnessed the performer pickpocketing the group of unsuspecting children.
Eventually, he found himself on a bridge that connected the main sector of the capital to the rest of the city. Leaning against the railing, he gazed at one of the floating islands suspended in the air. By reading the flow of mana, he deduced that these magnificent islands hung aloft thanks to meticulously crafted spatial arrays.
Averting his gaze from the floating structures, Edward observed the portion of the Magic kingdom Aroth which was widely revered as it was feared. The five Towers of Magic,
The towers were both the symbol of Aroth and the source of its power. Unlike most kingdoms, the king had almost no ruling power. Aroth was instead governed by the prime minister of the parliament.
"How ironic," Edward mused, "that the towers form a pentagon, with the Royal Palace at the heart of it all."
Scrutinizing each of the five towers Edward was able to detect several powerful aura radiating from their respective positions.
Admiring the raw power emanating from each of the Tower masters, Edward's gaze eventually landed on the Green Magic Tower, he was rather perplexed while observing the aura being emitted.
"So weak? So so weak, How can someone so feeble hold the title of tower master?" Edward mused, puzzled by the minimum power emanating from the master of the Green Tower.
Jeneric Osman, the Green Tower master, was by no strain of the imagination truly weak, he just happened to be overshadowed by more talented and powerful mages, And to Edward, he was deemed weak just by the flow of his aura.
"I've been rather bored recently and I have 9 months until the coming of age ceremony, or my return. "
"so shall I make the most of this short amount of time." Edward ululated " and defeat the Green tower a rather, a rather insetting prospect."
