Chapter 59: Chapter 58: Warship Awakening
Chapter 58: Warship Awakening
The frigate's hull was scorched and worn from years of neglect, but as Raizen stepped inside, he felt a sense of belonging. This was more than just a warship—it was the first step toward his empire.
The system pulsed.
[Warship Status: E5 Frigate-Class (Requires Repairs)]
[Onboard Systems: Offline]
[Available Power: 6%]
Liana let out a low whistle. "Looks like it's seen better days."
Kain ran a hand over the faded insignia on the ship's bulkhead. "We're gonna need a lot of parts to get this thing spaceworthy again."
Raizen nodded. That wasn't a problem.
The system pulsed again.
[New Quest: Revive the Warship]
[Objective: Acquire repair materials and reactivate key systems]
[Priority Repairs: Power Core, Navigation, Weapon Systems]
Raizen smirked. "Then we get what we need."
He turned to Kain. "You know the black market. Where can we find the parts?"
Kain scratched his chin. "There's a dealer in the undercity. Goes by the name Sarik. Sells salvaged ship tech. Not cheap, but he won't ask questions."
Raizen's grin widened. "Then let's pay him a visit."
Liana sighed. "This is going to get messy, isn't it?"
Raizen chuckled. "When is it not?"
With a warship under his control and a new mission ahead, Raizen's conquest had only just begun.
The ship's interior was in better shape than he had expected. The corridors were dark, the emergency lights flickering, but the structure itself was solid. The command deck, though dusty, still held a regal presence.
Raizen placed his hand on the main console, the system pulsing in recognition.
[Attempting System Boot… Error. Power Core at 6%. Manual Activation Required.]
Liana inspected the navigation panels. "This ship is old, but not useless. Once we power it up, we'll see if the onboard AI is still intact."
Kain tapped a panel, revealing a list of missing components. "We need energy cells, stabilizers, and a functioning warp drive. Sarik might have them, but we'll need serious credits or a trade."
Raizen's eyes gleamed. "We'll find a way."
A distant clang echoed through the corridors. Liana's rifle was up in an instant. "We're not alone."
The system pulsed.
[Warning: Unidentified Presence Detected Onboard]
Raizen smirked, cracking his knuckles. "Looks like we've got company."
