Chapter 151: A Risky Attempt With Blood Energy and Mana
Vaelric sat down, staring at the man. "Old man, any update?"
The old man sighed as he leaned back in his chair. "You might have scared the update out of me."
Vaelric leaned forward, his eyes sharp. "Don't mess with me..."
The old man chuckled as he stroked his beard. "Okay, yes, I've found the solution."
He stopped chuckling as he stared at Vaelric. "I've found a way for vampires to utilize mana..."
"Good," Vaelric said. "That sure took a while."
The old man sighed. "Like I said earlier, it wasn't going to be easy, and before I forget, there's still a chance that it might fail, and if it does....."
The old man paused, stroking his beards.
Vaelric squinted his eyes. "And if it fails, what will happen?"
The old man stared at Vaelric before replying, "you might die."
Vaelric leaned back on his chair, his expression still normal as if he wasn't even concerned about what the old man just said.
"In that case, there are two things here," Vaelric said.
The old man squinted his eyes curiously as he waited for Vaelric to continue talking.
"Firstly, I will get too angry if it doesn't work, and might end up killing you," Vaelric said with a straight face.
The old man gasped as his eyes widened slightly. His initial carefree expression was no more.
"And secondly," Vaelric continued, "you'll try it on another Vampire first to see the results."
He leaned forward, staring deep into the old man's eyes. "And if it actually doesn't work, deal with whatever I'll do to you."
The old man's eyes were still widened, but his expression quickly changed. He was now calm and continued stroking his beard.
"I see....." He muttered, before looking at Vaelric. "And if it works, remember your promise."
Vaelric sighed. "I know....."
The old man nodded. "Okay, bring the Vampire who you'd like it to be tested on."
Without saying anything, Vaelric got up and began walking out of the house, but the man stopped him.
"Wait.... Make sure to come with the Vampire," he said. "You know how most of them get when they're around humans.... I still have a few years to live."
Vaelric didn't say anything, and walked out of the house, leaving the old man chuckling.
In a few minutes, Valeric barged inside the house. This time, a male Vampire was behind him.
The old man's eyes snapped open as he stared at the both of them.
"Here you go," Vaelric said as he sat down on the chair and pointed at the other Vampires.
Continue your journey on My Virtual Library Empire
The old man nodded his head as he gestured for the Vampire to walk toward him.
"Tch...." The Vampire clicked his tongue in annoyance, with a frown on his face, but as soon as Vaelric shot him a look, he comported himself, and walked towards the old man.
He sat down in a lotus position in front of the old man, and the old man placed his right hand on the Vampire's back.
"You have complete control over your Blood Energy, right?" He asked.
The Vampire nodded his head in response, and the old man continued what he was doing.
"Now, before I start, control your Blood Energy, gather it all in a spot in your body, then tell me that spot," the old man said.
The Vampires instantly began doing what he was told, under the watchful gaze of Valeric.
Few seconds later, the Vampire spoke, "I've gathered it all.... In my stomach."
The old man nodded and began doing his own part.
He closed his eyes, and Mana instantly began seeping out from his fingertips. It continued seeping out for some seconds, but he made sure not to release too much.
Finally, he stopped, and focused on his Mana that was now lingering in the air. It was his Mana, so even though it was outside his body, he could still control it.
He then went on to control the Mana, and began moving it towards the Vampire.
In a matter of seconds, the Mana had began entering the Vampire's nose, into his body.
The old man continued controlling it until it reached the Vampire's stomach, and came in contact with the Blood Energy.
Suddenly.....
"Aghhh!" The Vampire screamed as a certain kind of pain shot through his body, spreading out.
"Shit! Ughhh.....!"
The Vampire instantly began sweating buckets as he closed his eyes and clenched his fist in pain.
Vaelric simply watched, seemingly unbothered by the Vampire's scream and pained expression.
"Calm down," the old man said. "This is the part that'll decide the result."
"You own your Blood Energy," he continued, "control it. It is raging because it came in contact with Mana, but the problem is that Vampires think they won't ever be able to use Mana, so they don't even bother to resist it."
The old man was talking to the Vampire in front of him, but at the same time, it was as if he was also talking to Vaelric.
"Just like the way we humans command our Mana and control it, you Vampires can also command your Blood Energy and forcefully stop it from resisting."
"It's like the Blood Energy is in an auto fight mode, but you can remove it from that mode willingly, and instead, fuse it with the Mana, and they'll become one."
"It's really not hard," the old man concluded.
Vaelric squinted his eyes, watching as the Vampire followed all what the old man was saying.
He could see his Blood Energy trying to force the Mana out and fighting it.
Instead of focusing on the pain, he tried his best to ignore it and instead, focus on his Blood Energy, and it seemed to be working.
Gritting his teeth, the Vampire began moving his Blood Energy towards the Mana, trying to fuse with it.
"Ugh....."
It increased the pain, but the Vampire suddenly heard Vaelric's voice.
"Don't give in..... Remember our goal, and if you manage to do this, you'll take us to the next level, and be the hero of us Vampires."
Vaelric stared at the Vampire, and saw that his words received the expected reaction, because the Vampire's expression suddenly hardened, showing that he was now even more motivated.
Vaelric smirked. 'Just wait..... You humans. We're coming for all of you...'
