The female supporting character, yet a charmer to everyone

Chapter 33 - Post-apocalyptic Literature 14

That day, after Yu Huan had finished inspecting the entire laboratory, she was still a little bored. Since Mao Tantan was busy making potions today, he didn’t have time to play Whac-A-Mole with her.

“Who are you making it for?” Xiang Qinghe asked, who rarely went out and only looked at the data in the lab.

“Officer Lu,” Mao Tantan sniffed and said casually, “Officer Lu is so strange. He is obviously a good person, but he always looks very intimidating.”

“I get nervous every time he comes. It’s just that he and the professor are old acquaintances and always come here.”

“That’s because he has an unfriendly aura,” Xiang Qinghe suddenly lowered his voice, “Do you know what happened to him before?

Hearing the scent of gossip, the two heads turned at the same time.

Xiang Qinghe couldn’t help but chuckle as he nodded at Yu Huan, “I knew you’d want to join in the fun.”

“He is the illegitimate son of the Lu family, which many people may not know. The Lu family are all stubborn old-timers, feudal and conservative, with a lot of rules. The servants have to call them ‘master.

“Huh? Mao Tantan and Yu Huan both opened their mouths wide.

“That’s outrageous, isn’t it? But the Lu family is a big family with a big business, and the water inside is very deep, and they really have maintained such a hierarchical system,” Xiang Qinghe said as he wrote it down.

“Lu Mingzhang seemed to have a hard time as a child. His mother died early and no one wanted him, so the Lu family took him in. But the Lu family had many children, and as an illegitimate child, he was completely ignored and treated like a servant.”

“The Lu family were all bad people with no sense of right and wrong. The few children who were properly ranked often beat and scolded the servants, sometimes breaking their bones, sometimes carrying them out.”

“No one cared?” Mao Tantan listened with bated breath.

“Everyone in the neighborhood knew about it, but no one really cared,” Xiang Qinghe continued. Lu Mingzhang was a stubborn kid, and he took the brunt of it because he refused to back down no matter what.

“What happened next?”

“Later, Lu Mingzhang’s grandmother fell to her death. His grandmother was the only person who was kind to him. Everyone who knew the truth suspected that it was the Lu children. Their brand name shoes were found at the scene.

Mao Tantan clenched his fists and asked through gritted teeth, “What happened next?”

“After that, it’s a happy ending.” Xiang Qinghe clapped his hands and said, “Lu Mingzhang escaped from the Lu family, joined the army, and climbed his way up from the bottom, doing dangerous things and rising in rank.

“The younger members of the Lu family had one accident after another, either dying in car accidents or lying in a vegetative state in the hospital. The Lu family gradually went downhill, and now they are climbing back up to Lu Mingzhang.”

“What kind of happy reading is that?” Mao Tantan was so angry, “If it were me, I would have to kill them all one by one to get my revenge.

“Legal times,” Xiang Qinghe reminded him, “Mao Tantan, your words are too extreme.

Yu Huan thought to himself, no wonder he is the great villain who wants to destroy the world.

“Huanhuan,” Sheng Lang got dressed, came over and took her hand, and the two of them went home together.

“Bored already?”

“A little.”

“Then bring your vocabulary book this afternoon?” Sheng Lang teased the little zombie.

His hand was immediately shaken off, and the little zombie angrily said, “I don’t like you anymore.

“I was wrong, I’m sorry. Bring your game console this afternoon.” Sheng Lang pursed his lips after teasing too much and asked earnestly and softly, “Please like me.

The little zombie didn’t say a word.

“Please like me.”

“Please like me.”

The voice got lower and lower and finally stopped. He lowered his head as if he wanted to blink.

Yu Huan froze for a moment, “You, don’t cry.”

“Do you like me?” He raised his hand to cover his eyes and asked again, pausing in the middle, like a sob with great emotional ups and downs.

“I like you,” Yu Huan replied hastily.

The hand moved away, revealing a handsome face with a slight smile at the corners of his lips.

At that moment, Yu Huan suddenly felt the male lead’s appearance. It was truly eye-catching.

The next day, Mao Tantan finished making the medicine and waited for Lu Mingzhang to come and get it.

Since that morning, Professor Wen, who had been in an extraordinary state of excitement, suddenly burst out laughing and called for them to come and see the results: “Come and see! This substance in Huanhuan’s body may be the key to developing a vaccine! There is hope for a vaccine!”

The professor’s emotions were so extreme that when he laughed, his face suddenly turned pale. Xiang Qinghe quickly fumbled for the medicine in his pocket and gave him some pills, and the professor gradually recovered.

“Professor, is there anything wrong with your health?” Sheng Lang asked.

“It’s an old problem, just take your medicine in time. Just don’t touch the niacin tablets, they interfere with the professor’s medicine,” Xiang Qinghe explained.

Yu Huan went back yesterday and played video games with Jiang’s mother for half the night. At that moment, she was lying on the counter, half asleep.

She could hear people talking and suddenly felt a breeze. The door seemed to be open, but she couldn’t open her eyes.

“This substance in her body…”

“…the key to the vaccine…”

In the midst of the intermittent words, someone placed a medicine into a box, unconcerned and unhurried.

A false, cold smile slowly appeared at the corner of his lips.

The last medicine was put in and the lid was closed with a crisp sound, like some kind of death signal.

His hand reached for the neck of the sleeping man.

This hand has touched countless lives, and another life is just a matter of moving his fingers. All it takes is to catch the fragile bones and give them a gentle twist, and the little zombie will be completely gone from this world.

After that, the zombie virus will once again become indissoluble and will no longer block his path and disrupt his plans.

It felt like someone was approaching them.

Yu Huan suddenly looked up and waved her hand to knock Lu Mingzhang’s hand away.

He tried to hit me?

The little zombie was both scared and disgusted. Lu Mingzhang really has no morals. He can’t stand the sight of her, so he’s fighting with her. How could he take advantage of someone while they’re sleeping?

“What are you doing?” the little zombie shouted in a bluff, trying to use her voice to call the others over.

Lu Mingzhang didn’t even react, only lowering his eyes and looking at his hands.

That was close.

His state of immobility was obviously not normal, and Yu Huan couldn’t help but follow his gaze, noticing for the first time a dark brown scar inside the cuff of his stiff and boring white shirt.
