The Golem Mage

Chapter 327: Let There be Chaos... 5.

[Spirit Meal consumed, detected to have a poisonous attribute]

[+5% poison resistance acquired.]

As soon as the meal went down Alec's throat, he could already feel his stomach churning.

When he looked up, he was met with Agnes's eerie smile.

Despite the discomfort he felt , he still mustered up the courage to swallow another spoonful, grunting in the process.

"This is one of the best meals I've ever tasted, I don't think we even deserve to be tasting your gracious meals that are now infused with spirit energy, This should only be eaten by royals," Alec complimented Agnes with such enthusiasm that even Arthur wondered if they were eating the same meal.

Thinking quickly, Arthur stealthily swapped his plate with Alec's plate

While he was still trying his best to maintain a straight face and lie about the taste of the meal.

After the swap, Arthur realized that Alec's plate had more meat, and he nodded to himself, thinking,

'This little lady, favouring Alec and giving him the one that tastes the best with plenty of meat, such blatant favouritism.'

As Arthur finally placed a spoonful into his mouth, his expression changed to one of discomfort.

Arthur : "¬"

"Damn, his own is even worse than mine to begin with," Your next read awaits at My Virtual Library Empire

Arthur muttered as he collapsed to the ground, his lips twitching.

Unable to resist, Alec kicked Arthur as he went down.

" Since Arthur here seems to enjoy your food so much that he even steals my plate, I guess I should leave everything for him. I'm not that hungry anyway,"

Alec declared as he swiftly combined his portion and Arthur's portion into one plate, then ran away before Arthur could catch up to him.

"You bastard, come back here and eat the meal I don't want!"

Arthur stretched his hand toward Alec, who had already slammed his door shut.

Arthur's hoarse voice sounded even worse than before as he turned to face Agnes, realizing that he was now her main target since Alec had disappeared from the table.

"Just kill me now, this antidote sucks." Arthur complains

" No refunds brother bear with it, it seems the cooking skills got stronger I would have to get a stronger antidote next time"

After enduring an hour of intense stomach pains and trips to the toilet, the gang was finally ready to venture back into the Abyss.

Alec looked at his companions and nodded in affirmation, Together, they sprinted towards the forbidden grounds of the school, where the space passage to the Orc cities awaited them.

The two Tier 8 mages stationed at the gates couldn't hide their shock at seeing the Gordons Clansmen return so soon again!.

However, they didn't obstruct their path, Instead, they allowed them entrance after verifying their master's token and there student badges.

The Two Tier 8 gatekeepers had heard numerous stories and rumours about Alec and his Gang about what they have done in the Abyss, so this time, even the grumpy one remained silent.

To Alec, this was a small improvement, as before, he had been condescending and doubted their survival ability that he didn't even want them going in.

But Now , even the grumpy guard showed a hint of respect for Alec and his comrades.

--

Entering the familiar environment of the Second Abyss again after the space jump filled them all with excitement.

Arthur took a deep breath before exclaiming,

"We're back, baby! Ha ha!" with his hands raised high in the air, as he wanted every Mage nearby to be aware of there arrival.

"Come out of there, kid, There are others trying to pass through the space passage!"

One of the guards in black armor and armed with a spear reprimanded.

" Yeah! You guys always say the same thing, You're no fun!"

Arthur retorted as he quickly joined the gang, as they were already walking toward the War God Armoury to secure specialized weapons for the other four members of their squad.

With their newfound wealth, Alec didn't hesitate to invest in his clansmen, knowing that they would be able to support him when he eventually called upon them in the future.

Kelvin managed to procure a black Changdao weapon,

He has been practicing with Alec every morning, whenever Alec was striving to complete his blood reaper daily tasks, and has been performing some basic blade techniques Alec do too.

Now, he could fully emulate Alec's path when it came to weapons as he had also picked a Changdao, He saw Alec as his role model and that was the main reason he was imitating him.

And the others also chose weapons that suited their preferences.

The twins for example opted for dual blades, while the last member chose an axe.

Alec was surprised to see a clan member pick an axe, as there had never been anyone in their clan's history who had mastered the weapon or even used it despite there curiosity to try different type of weapons on golems.

Curious, Alec asked why he had chosen the axe.

And The member explained that he had been inspired by Alec's Tempest Butcher golem, which also used an axe.

Satisfied with the response, Alec no longer questioned their choices and they continued Towards the city gates.

Inside the War God Armoury, the old short man at the counter laughed with joy upon seeing the small bundle of nature low-power stones in front of him.

"Such a great investment!, I hope you keep coming back with more goodies for me!" The short elder rubbed his hands together in satisfaction.

"But Master, you charged them way above the cost price given by the academy," one of the helpers whispered as he approached him.

The short elder's smile vanished, and in one swift motion, he summoned his sword, still inside its scabbard, into his hand.

As He swung it, making a loud thud against the junior attendant's body, knocking him out of the War God Armoury.

" Look at this f—ker trying to make me give up on my interest from my own investment!, What do you know?,"

" I gave them a map that's worth more than what I'm taking from them now. What do you know? I'll milk them until they realize the true price of most goods," the old man sneered.

"And even when they do, I will still scam them when they start needing custom-made weapons and armor. There is no better blacksmith or forger than me in the whole academy,"

The old man snorted, his gaze falling on the power stones once again, filling him with joy.

"Alec is just so good to me, Such a huge bonus. I wish you more success in your future heists,"

The old man said as another junior attendant approached him.

"Sir, don't you think one heist is enough? If they were to steal from another powerhouse, it could turn the Abyss into a war zone again..." the attendant suggested.

Bam!!!

The junior attendant was abruptly cut off as he, too, was slapped by the sheathed sword, sending him flying out of the War God Armoury.

"Who cares if it becomes a war zone?, I guess you all have been living too carefree in here, comfortable with the second Dimension races bringing war to the human realm, But you guys can't give them back the favour of war in their own realm," the short elder sneered.

"Weaklings!"

He cursed at his assistants, dismissing their concerns as he returned to counting his gains from his latest transaction.
