Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Gathering the First Pillars
With Xie Yun's cultivation stabilized, Chan Li turned his focus to the next crucial step finding more disciples.
A sect could not thrive with only one person, no matter how talented. To build the Heavenly Mystical Sect, he needed individuals with potential, loyalty, and the will to defy fate.
The outside world was filled with countless cultivators, but Chan Li wasn't searching for just anyone. He sought the forgotten, the discarded, and the ones whom destiny had turned its back on.
And so, he and Xie Yun set off into the mortal world.
A Genius Abandoned by His Clan
Their journey led them to Cloud River City, a bustling place ruled by powerful cultivation families.
There, a public duel of life and death was taking place. The crowd was gathered, cheering for a young man who lay wounded in the center of a battle stage.
His robes were tattered, his face bloodied, yet his eyes burned with defiance.
"Luo Feng, you are a disgrace to the Luo Clan! Your meridians were crippled yet you dare to challenge our clan's elite?!" a young man in golden robes mocked.
Chan Li's gaze sharpened.
"A crippled cultivator? No… his meridians are broken, but his will remains unshaken."
Luo Feng spat out blood but forced himself to stand. His opponent sneered before striking him again, sending him crashing to the ground.
The elders of the Luo Clan watched coldly from above.
"Banish him. The Luo Clan has no use for broken trash."
The duel was over. Luo Feng was discarded.
But before the crowd dispersed, Chan Li moved.
He appeared before Luo Feng in an instant, his presence forcing silence over the area.
"Do you still wish to cultivate?" he asked.
Luo Feng looked up, startled. He saw a young man dressed in simple robes, yet carrying an unfathomable aura.
His breath was ragged, but his voice was firm.
"Even if I have to crawl through hell, I will never give up!"
Chan Li nodded.
"Then rise. Follow me."
The Luo Clan elders stirred but hesitated. They could sense something terrifying from Chan Li a power they dared not provoke.
And so, before the entire city, Luo Feng walked away from his past and toward a new destiny.
The First Pillars of the Sect
By the time Chan Li returned to the Heavenly Mystical Sect, he had found two more disciples
Luo Feng, the abandoned genius with broken meridians but an indomitable will.
Yan Rui, a girl who had been sold into slavery but possessed an extraordinary physique hidden even from herself.
Xie Yun, now stronger, was the first to greet them.
Chan Li stood before them, his gaze sweeping over the three.
"You are all different. Castaways. The world has given up on you."
He turned, looking toward the vast hidden realm.
"But here, in the Heavenly Mystical Sect, you will rise above the heavens themselves."
The three knelt, their voices filled with reverence.
"Disciple greets Master!"
And with that, the foundation of the Heavenly Mystical Sect was set.
Their journey to dominance had begun.
