The Last Omo Ogun (Son Of War)

Chapter 19: THE NEW ENEMY

EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – NIGHT

The night air is heavy.

The sky is darker than usual—no stars, no moonlight.

Akin walks through the quiet village, his mind troubled.

Since the battle with Arogun, he has felt different.

His body feels stronger.

His senses are sharper.

But it is more than that.

Something inside him is changing.

And the whispers—

They are getting louder.

EXT. AJILOMI FOREST – MIDNIGHT

Akin steps into the forest.

The wind whispers through the trees.

Suddenly—

A voice.

Deep. Ancient. Powerful.

???:

"Akin…"

Akin spins around.

No one is there.

The whisper comes again—stronger this time.

???:

"Akin… Do you hear us?"

Akin's heartbeat quickens.

His eyes dart through the darkness.

Then—

A golden glow appears between the trees.

Akin hesitates.

Then, drawn by an unseen force, he steps forward.

The glow grows brighter.

And suddenly—

He is no longer in the forest.

INT. SPIRIT REALM – UNKNOWN LOCATION

Akin finds himself standing in a vast, endless void.

The ground is made of light.

The sky shimmers like flowing water.

And before him—

Five towering figures stand, their faces hidden behind golden masks.

Each one radiates raw power.

They are not human.

They are gods.

Akin falls to his knees, overwhelmed.

Then—

The tallest of the gods steps forward.

His voice echoes through the realm.

FIRST GOD

"Rise, child of the Old Blood."

Akin's breath catches.

AKIN

"Who are you?"

The second god speaks, his voice ancient and wise.

SECOND GOD

"We are the Watchers of Fate. The gods of the forgotten war."

Akin's chest tightens.

AKIN

"Why am I here?"

The third god steps forward, eyes glowing like the sun.

THIRD GOD

"Because you are one of us."

Akin's eyes widen.

His body trembles.

AKIN

"That's not possible."

The gods glance at each other.

Then—

The fourth god speaks, her voice soft, but powerful.

FOURTH GOD

"It is time for you to know the truth."

Akin swallows.

His heart pounds.

AKIN

"What truth?"

The gods look down at him.

And together—

They speak the words that will change his life forever.

ALL GODS

"You are not just a warrior, Akin."

FIRST GOD

"You are the last of the Old Blood."

SECOND GOD

"A descendant of gods and men."

THIRD GOD

"A being destined to restore balance… or destroy it."

Akin stares in shock.

The whispers in his head intensify.

His vision blurs.

His body shakes.

Then—

The fifth god, the smallest of them all, steps forward.

His voice is calm, yet filled with sorrow.

FIFTH GOD

"A storm is coming, Akin."

Akin's breath hitches.

FIFTH GOD

"A war greater than any before."

FIFTH GOD

"And only you can stop it."

Akin clenches his fists.

He wants to deny it.

He wants to run.

But deep down—

He knows it is true.

And the gods know it too.

INT. AJILOMI PALACE – OGUNLAJA'S CHAMBER – SAME NIGHT

Ogunlaja jerks awake.

Sweat drips from his forehead.

His heart pounds violently.

For the first time in years—

He has had a vision.

A vision of Akin.

A vision of fire and war.

And worst of all—

A vision of Akin standing against him.

Ogunlaja grits his teeth.

He knows now.

The gods have chosen Akin.

And that means only one thing—

Akin is a threat.

EXT. AJILOMI FOREST – DAWN

Akin jerks awake, his body covered in sweat.

His heart races.

The gods' words echo in his mind.

"A storm is coming."

He stares at his hands.

They glow faintly—a golden light pulsing beneath his skin.

Akin clenches his fists.

Everything has changed.

The gods are watching.

The war is coming.

And whether he wants it or not—

He is at the center of it all.

INT. OGUNLAJA'S PALACE – SECRET CHAMBER – NIGHT

The air is thick with incense smoke.

A single candle burns in the center of the room.

Ogunlaja sits before a massive, ancient statue.

His hands are clenched into fists.

His face is tight with anger.

Across from him—

A mysterious hooded figure sits in the shadows.

Ogunlaja's voice is low, dangerous.

OGUNLAJA

"The gods have spoken to him."

The figure nods slowly.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE

"Then he is awakening."

Ogunlaja's fingers dig into his palm.

OGUNLAJA

"We must stop him before it is too late."

A long silence.

Then—

The figure leans forward.

A single eye glows red beneath the hood.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE

"If he is truly of the Old Blood… then you will need more than just warriors to stop him."

Ogunlaja's breath slows.

His eyes darken.

OGUNLAJA

"Then tell me what I need."

The figure smiles.

And the shadows whisper in response.

EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – MORNING

The market is busy.

Traders shout their prices.

Children run through the streets.

But Akin is silent.

He moves through the crowd, his mind distant.

The gods' words still ring in his ears.

"You are the last of the Old Blood."

"A storm is coming."

He grits his teeth.

Something feels wrong.

Something is coming.

And he does not know what.

EXT. AJILOMI FOREST – SAME TIME

A group of hooded figures move through the trees.

Their steps are silent.

Their eyes glow in the darkness.

They move like shadows.

Like ghosts.

And at their center—

A man in golden armor strides forward.

His presence is cold, commanding.

His name is ORODARE.

And he has only one mission.

Find the last of the Old Blood.

And kill him.

INT. AJILOMI PALACE – OGUNLAJA'S THRONE ROOM

Ogunlaja sits on his throne, deep in thought.

His eyes flicker with calculation.

Beside him, the mysterious figure stands.

MYSTERIOUS FIGURE

"Orodare and his men have arrived."

Ogunlaja nods slowly.

OGUNLAJA

"Then we shall see how strong Akin truly is."

A cruel smile touches his lips.

Because tonight—

The hunt begins.

EXT. AJILOMI VILLAGE – NIGHT

Akin sits outside his hut, staring at the moon.

His body still tingles from the gods' touch.

His heart is restless.

Then—

A rustle in the trees.

Akin tenses.

His eyes narrow.

And suddenly—

An arrow flies past his head, barely missing him.

Akin springs to his feet.

From the darkness—

Figures emerge.

Their eyes glow like embers.

Their blades gleam in the moonlight.

And at the center—

Orodare steps forward.

His golden armor shines in the dark.

His voice is calm, yet merciless.

ORODARE

"So… you are the one they call Akin."

Akin squares his shoulders.

His muscles coil with tension.

He does not know who these men are.

But he knows one thing—

They have come to kill him.

Orodare draws his sword.

His eyes glow with power.

ORODARE

"Let us see if you are worthy of the blood in your veins."

Akin clenches his fists.

The whispers in his head return.

And this time—

They do not warn.

They command.

"Fight."

NEXT CHAPTER: "THE FIRST TEST"
