The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 732: Meeting (1)

Mother-in-law, glad to see you are well and as beautiful as ever," Klaus said to Queen Lunara, who was now seated with Queenie and Nari in a meeting room.

It was just them inside, so he was flirting with her, making the queen smile at his words

"I'm glad to see you are also well and shameless as ever," Queen Lunara chirped, making Klaus smile.

The night until dawn had been wonderful for him, so his energy was different. Ann and her sister made sure he felt every second of it.

"I hope your first night here was great as mine," Klaus said with a sly smile.

"Of course, if you are having difficulty sleeping, don't hesitate to call me. I will help you have a good night's sleep."

The queen just chuckled, making Nari and Queenie shake their heads. Their man was shameless as ever, not that they cared.

He was capable, and having more wives wasn't getting in the way of their pleasure or his training, so they were cool with it.

However, tonight, Queenie and her sister Oheme have an appointment with him, so she wouldn't complain now despite her man flirting with her mother.

When they met in his bed, she and her sister would ensure he paid for his unruly behavior by draining him.

Old Lu and the three instructors who helped with the teams' training arrived a few minutes later.

War God Henry and the four generals also arrived a few minutes later, with his uncles being the last. When Klaus woke up, he went to check up on them but found their room empty, meaning they had gone to train.

Their training, however, involved killing monsters. So they had gone to the frontlines and helped the soldiers by killing their fill.

After a few hours of killing, they returned because Klaus had told them they would be having a meeting the next day.

Now that they were back, the meeting had begun.

"Thank you all for coming," Klaus began.

"We are here today to assess the threats we will face while here. Naturally, the end game is to rid this zone of all forms of danger.

This means we will be killing all the dangerous monsters and beasts here, leaving only the small fries to be handled by the military since they also need to do their work.

But for our objective, we will ensure that all dangers, both the known and the hidden, are handled swiftly."

Klaus turned to General Dane. "Can you tell us the power dynamics here?"

General Dane nodded. He is the highest-ranking general, so this falls on his lap.

"So far, we have determined that seven powerhouses hold the power inside this badland.

From our information, six of these are monsters with strength, I am afraid not even our laser guns can kill. The most we could do was injure them.

So the fact that this place is still standing is a miracle. However, the seventh is a beast, and so far, we haven't had a problem with her. And when we say "her," she is a humanoid serpent.

General Dane pressed a button, and an image of a beautiful serpent appeared. Klaus immediately identified her as the Dread Serpent, one of the devouring demon beasts.

He had met one when he was in the Tormented World, but even without that encounter, he knew of its name, abilities, and uniqueness thanks to the multi-dimensional cube in his possession.

"She is at the peak of the Tier 10 stage, and because we haven't fought her before, we don't really know her strength. However, she has twelve guards, and they are all Tier 10, with the strongest at the eighth stage.

They are all serpent-type beasts, and we can tell they are powerful from their presence. So while killing the rest would be ideal, killing this serpent is not something we planned on doing.

But of course, the final judgment cannot be made based on our thinking and feelings. However, we learned you have a way with beasts, so maybe you can work something out."

Klaus laughed.

"If she is anything like Kathy, then we will have a powerful beast on our side. But sometimes, trusting a beast is not ideal. Trust me, they are more cunning than even we humans.

However, I will pay her a visit and see if we can strike a deal."

Everyone nodded.

They all knew the danger Earth was in after their expeditions into the forbidden zones, so hearing that they would negotiate with the beast that rivaled their strongest sounded more reasonable to them.

If they could have more Tier 10 allies, and even stronger ones at that, wouldn't that be awesome?

"However, what can you tell us about the six monsters?" Klaus turned back to the projection, which changed to a colossal beast he knew all too well.

"A Diamond Body Brute Elephant," he said.

"Indeed, our worst enemy here. It has over a thousand monsters under it, and from time to time, they attack just to destroy our defences. We are strongly guarded against them, but no matter what, we just can't handle it.

Most of my men fell whenever they invaded."

Klaus and the others sighed.

The blockage formed by the Union military was meant to prevent the monsters from escaping. Earth doesn't have the means to handle all threats, so the focus is more on beefing up the defenses.

Of course, it seemed almost laughable now that they thought about it. If the monsters inside the badland decided to move, it wouldn't take them ten minutes to break through all forms of defense.

Naturally, Klaus knew why they hadn't attacked yet, but he wouldn't scare anyone just yet—unless he had to.

From his memories of his ninth incarnation, he knew that for a horde of monsters, having multiple to remain organized and not act recklessly, there had to be powerful monsters keeping them in check.

This meant they were being controlled by something even more monstrous. A hidden Tier 11 beast is likely to be the answer.

'Earth and the Moonborns must really beef up their surveillance, or else we will be overrun soon enough,' he sighed in his heart.

"I personally fought this Brute Elephant, and after hundreds of exchanges, I am unsure if mortal weapons can kill it."

Klaus and the others laughed at his words.

But they all knew that the seven-meter-tall Brute Elephant in the projection, which could make any human look like a bug, was indeed, as General Dane said, it would indeed require a divine weapon to kill it.

"So if I were to forge a divine weapon for you, would you be able to kill it?" Klaus asked with a smile, though he was very serious.

"With the correct weapon, I can indeed kill it," General Dane answered with a clenched fist. He certainly wanted to be the one to kill this brute, for he had lost many men to its terror.

"Very well, I will get you a weapon that can do that," Klaus said.

The Paragon Forge could make it possible—all he needed was the brain capacity to come up with the design, abilities, and everything else.

General Dane smiled.
