The Last Son of Primordia: From Exile to Sovereign

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Awakening the Legacy of the Shen Family

As the surge of energy from his breakthrough coursed through his body, Ni Tian suddenly felt an overwhelming force raging inside him. His veins bulged, his muscles trembled, and an unbearable heat spread throughout his meridians. It was as if his body was about to explode from within.

"Aaahhh!!" he screamed in agony, collapsing onto the ground, his body convulsing violently.

Aeris' eyes widened in shock as she rushed to his side. She could tell that the rapid advancement in cultivation had destabilized his foundation, making it nearly impossible for him to contain the newfound power. Without hesitation, she placed her hands on his back, channeling her spiritual energy into him.

"Master, focus! Regulate your breathing and circulate your qi properly!" Aeris urged, her voice filled with concern.

With her help, Ni Tian gritted his teeth and forcefully redirected the raging qi within him. He followed the natural flow of energy, calming the storm inside his body. Sweat dripped down his face as the unbearable pressure gradually subsided. After what felt like an eternity, his breathing steadied, and the pain finally faded.

Aeris let out a relieved sigh. "Master, are you alright? You were on the verge of self-destruction!"

Ni Tian sat up, still catching his breath. "Yes… Thank you. If not for your help, I might've really died," he said with a weak chuckle. "But at least I got a feel for my new strength."

Aeris folded her arms and huffed. "Honestly, Master, you should be more careful. I can't keep saving you every time."

Ni Tian scratched his head and smiled awkwardly. "I'll keep that in mind. But before we head back, why don't we test my new strength with a spar?"

Aeris blinked, then smirked. "Alright, but I'll suppress my cultivation to the Foundation Establishment realm so it's fair."

The two of them took their stances, and in the next instant, Ni Tian launched himself forward, throwing a powerful punch. Aeris countered with her own attack, and their fists collided, sending a small shockwave across the clearing. Ni Tian felt exhilarated—his movements were faster, his punches heavier, and his control over qi had improved drastically.

But Aeris, despite suppressing her cultivation, was still stronger. She moved with precise grace, countering every one of Ni Tian's strikes. As the battle intensified, she noticed he was adapting quickly.

'His combat sense is improving with every exchange,' Aeris thought, impressed.

However, Ni Tian was already reaching his limit. His attacks slowed, and his breathing became ragged. Seeing this, Aeris silently increased her cultivation to Core Formation without letting him notice. With one last burst of strength, Ni Tian threw a powerful punch, but Aeris barely flinched.

With a smirk, she let him land the final blow. However, due to his exhaustion, his fist barely touched her before he collapsed onto the ground.

Aeris sighed, shaking her head. "Master, you really don't know how to pace yourself, do you?"

The sky had already darkened. Seeing that Ni Tian was completely drained, Aeris summoned her spirit sword and used it to carry him back to their house. Upon arriving, she carefully placed him on his bed before heading off to wash herself.

That night, they both slept in the same bed due to exhaustion. As the warmth of their bodies pressed against each other, an unexpected spark ignited between them, and before they realized it, their tired bodies acted on their instincts, intertwining in a passionate embrace.

The next morning, Ni Tian and Aeris awoke, only to realize that they were completely unclothed. Their faces turned red with shock.

"Mas... Master, what happened?!" Aeris stammered, pulling the blanket around her.

Ni Tian panicked. "I... I don't know! But I had a dream that we... we..."

Aeris' face burned in embarrassment before she suddenly turned red with anger. "Master! You still had the strength to do that even after exhausting yourself?!"

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Ni Tian repeatedly bowed his head, unable to meet her gaze.

Aeris sighed, calming herself. "Master... What should I do now? I can't get married to anyone else anymore..."

Ni Tian turned away, hesitant. "Eh... Ah..."

Aeris pouted. "Master, look at me when you're talking."

Ni Tian swallowed his nervousness and turned to face her. "I... I'll take responsibility."

Aeris' eyes softened, and she smiled. "Then... from now on, our relationship as master and disciple will change, right?"

Ni Tian nodded hesitantly.

"In that case, I will no longer use my old name," she said firmly. "Since my sect no longer exists and I am now part of yours, I will change my name to Ni Xiyan."

Ni Tian was taken aback. "Wait, what?! I'm suddenly a husband now?!"

Xiyan got out of bed, though she winced in discomfort. She quickly dressed herself before heading to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Ni Tian struggled to get up, feeling completely drained.

"What happened? Why do I feel like I've been sucked dry?" Ni Tian muttered.

Xiyan coughed. "Ehem... Breakfast is ready."

They sat down and ate together, and afterward, Xiyan suggested going down the mountain to cultivate. Ni Tian agreed, and with the help of Xiyan's spirit sword, they traveled deep into the forest.

While wandering, they stumbled upon a waterfall with a large cave behind it. As soon as they entered, Xiyan sensed a powerful presence. "Master, there's something here!"

They cautiously stepped inside and were met with a shocking sight—a grand hall filled with statues. At the center stood a majestic statue of the First World Emperor, the legendary founder of Primordia.

As Ni Tian's eyes scanned the statues, his breath caught. He recognized every face—his ancestors, the great warriors of the Shen Family.

"Wh-What is this place...?" he muttered in disbelief.

Xiyan glanced at him. "Master... Do you know them?"

Ni Tian clenched his fists. "Yes… These are my father and ancestors."

They both bowed in respect before continuing deeper into the sanctuary. When they reached a large throne, Ni Tian saw an inscription—Shen Wudi, Founder of Primordia.

At that moment, the spirits of the deceased ancestors awakened. A deep, resonant voice filled the chamber.

"What did you just say?"

Ni Tian took a deep breath and spoke solemnly. "Father... I'm no longer part of the Shen Family."

The spirits stirred in anger as Ni Tian recounted everything that had happened. Upon hearing his story, his father and the ancestors raged.

"I did not establish the Shen Family to become a place of betrayal and corruption!" Shen Wudi, the First World Emperor, roared.

Moved by Ni Tian's perseverance and righteousness, the spirits of his ancestors made a decision.

"Ni Tian, we will grant you our final power," they declared. "Take back the Shen Family and restore its honor!"

As golden light enveloped him, Ni Tian felt a surge of energy. Then, remembering Xiyan, he turned toward her.

"This is Ni Xiyan... my wife," he introduced, surprising even himself.

The ancestors examined her, sensing her loyalty. "From this moment forth, the two of you are bound as husband and wife. Do not betray one another."

Both Ni Tian and Xiyan bowed respectfully, thanking them for their blessings.
