The Lord of Ice and Magic

Chapter 29: Ravenclaw’s Victory Party

The moment Ravenclaw claimed victory, the excitement didn't just end on the pitch. The entire house was buzzing with energy, and by the time Ezekiel and his teammates arrived back at the common room, the party had already begun.

Tables had been cleared, banners hung up, and someone had even managed to bring in a feast of snacks and drinks. The enchanted windows reflected a dazzling night sky, mirroring the energy inside.

Ezekiel barely had time to step in before he was surrounded.

"That was bloody brilliant!" a younger student exclaimed.

"Best match I've ever seen!" another added.

Elena grinned, nudging him. "Seems like you've gained a fan club, Ez."

He smirked. "As long as they don't start writing my name on their robes, we're good."

Adrian clapped him on the back. "Don't be modest. You played out of your mind today."

Ezekiel simply shrugged. "Had to make sure Pucey didn't leave with the Cup."

That was all it took to get a round of cheers from the nearby students.

---

The room was alive with celebration. Music played in the background, and students were passing around sweets and Butterbeer.

Some fourth-years had managed to sneak in a stronger drink, but the older students quickly claimed those before the younger ones could get their hands on them.

Professor Flitwick made an appearance, looking positively delighted.

"A fantastic performance!" he beamed, raising his tiny hands in excitement. "This is a proud day for Ravenclaw House!"

He stayed just long enough to offer congratulations before leaving the students to their fun.

Elena dragged Ezekiel toward a group of students. "Come on, you can't just stand there all night. You need to celebrate too!"

Ezekiel chuckled, allowing himself to relax.

Someone had managed to conjure glowing blue and silver lights that floated in the air, giving the room an almost magical festival-like feeling.

---

An hour into the party, a fourth-year brought out a wrapped box and handed it to Ezekiel.

"A gift from the older students," he said with a grin. "For leading us to victory."

Curious, Ezekiel unwrapped it—inside was a beautifully crafted broom care kit, complete with high-end polish, tools, and even a custom charm for weather resistance.

He whistled. "This is incredible."

"Consider it our way of saying thanks," the student said.

Adrian leaned over, inspecting the set. "You're going to have the shiniest broom in Hogwarts now."

Elena smirked. "Or he could just use it as an excuse to spend even more time on the pitch."

Ezekiel rolled his eyes but smiled. "Thanks, everyone."

---

As the party raged on, Ezekiel found himself sitting near one of the windows with his closest friends.

Adrian leaned back in his chair. "You know, next year will be even tougher. Slytherin will want revenge, and Gryffindor won't go easy on us either."

Elena nodded. "Not to mention Hufflepuff. Cedric's getting better every year."

Ezekiel smirked. "Good. A real challenge makes the game more fun."

Adrian chuckled. "Of course you'd say that."

They sat there for a while, enjoying the moment. Outside, the moon cast a soft glow over the castle, and the sounds of laughter and music filled the common room.

Ezekiel knew this victory would be remembered for a long time.

But he also knew one thing—next year, they had to do it all over again.

For now, though, he let himself enjoy the night.

Tomorrow could wait.
