The Magic Merchant in Fairy Tail

Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Sunshine After the Rain

Kira's specially designed Mira Armor significantly enhanced Mira's combat capabilities. Whether in attack, speed, or defense, it amplified her strength to near-demonic levels, almost rivaling her power when she could wield Satan Soul.

Each punch, kick, and strike delivered by Mira was precise and powerful, showcasing a level of close-combat expertise that could rival even Natsu or Gray on their best days. For Juvia, who relied heavily on her water magic and elemental transformation, Mira was an unstoppable force.

"Turn around and retreat?" Mira would catch her in the blink of an eye.

"Face her head-on?" Juvia was no match for Mira's unrelenting physical prowess while donning the Mira Armor.

Juvia's elemental body was her strongest defense, but prolonged physical contact with the Mira Armor gradually sapped her magic power. Kira's brilliant design not only absorbed enemy magic but repurposed it to fuel the armor itself.

Bang!

Mira landed a decisive blow, sending Juvia flying. The powerful strike shattered her composure, forcing her to revert to her human form.

"Ahhhhh!!"

Juvia landed hard on the ground, her strength and magic utterly depleted.

When Lucy arrived, she saw Juvia unconscious, lying amidst the remnants of the battle, and Mira sitting nearby, her armor discarded, her face streaked with exhaustion.

As Lucy reached Mira's side, she noticed the rain had stopped. The skies cleared, and warm sunlight bathed the area in a golden glow.

"The rain… stopped?" Lucy murmured.

Mira looked up, letting the sunlight touch her face. Her crystalline tears reflected the light, creating a dazzling spectacle.

"I did it…" Mira whispered, her voice filled with a mix of relief and joy. "Now I have the power to protect my friends… Thank you, Kira."

Despite her tears, Mira's expression was one of pride and triumph.

Lucy dropped to her knees beside Mira and hugged her tightly. "Mira-san… Thank you!"

Mira smiled and patted Lucy's back gently. "We're family. Of course, I'll protect you."

They sat together in the warmth of the sun, the battle behind them, their bond stronger than ever.

"Let's go back to the guild, Lucy," Mira said softly.

Lucy nodded. "Yes, let's go home."

[Guild Showdown: Fairy Tail vs. Phantom Lord]

[Location: Near the Fairy Tail Guild]

[Participants: Mira vs. Juvia]

[Winner: Mira]

Back at Phantom's headquarters, Joseph Porla paced the room, frustration evident in his every movement. "Why haven't Thor and Juvia returned with the target yet?! Has something gone wrong?"

The longer he waited, the more agitated he became. Finally, he decided, "I'll go myself! I won't leave this to anyone else."

At the Phantom Lord branch, Markov and Kira had cornered Joseph's thought projection, a technique that allowed him to appear remotely without physically being present.

"Joseph! Are you ready to pay the price for your actions?!" Markov roared. His small frame radiated power as his anger reached its peak.

Joseph, calm and composed, sat on a lavish chair, unbothered by Markov's fury. "Markov, Markov… It's been a while since we last met. Six years, wasn't it? The last time was at the regular council meeting… What a shame that it ended in such bitterness."

Markov was in no mood for reminiscing. "Joseph, stop with the nonsense! Answer me! Are you prepared to face the consequences of declaring war on Fairy Tail?!"

Joseph smirked, his tone mocking. "Consequences? Oh, Markov, I've been ready for this war for years. But… not today."

Markov's eyes narrowed. "A thought projection…"

Joseph laughed. "Exactly. So, Markov, where do you think I am right now? You brought all your forces here… but don't you wonder what my real goal might be?"

As Joseph's thought body continued to provoke Markov, his real plan unfolded elsewhere.

"You're stalling for time," Markov realized.

"Sharp as ever, Markov," Joseph replied with a smirk. "I'll tell you the truth. This war isn't just about guild pride. Phantom Lord received a commission to bring back a wizard from your guild."

Markov's expression darkened. "Who?"

Joseph's smirk widened. "Lucy Heartfilia, of course."

Markov's fists clenched. "You dare to go after one of my family?!"

"You declared war, Markov," Joseph said mockingly. "I simply took advantage of the opportunity. And while you're here, I've already sent my people to retrieve her. With your main forces here, who's left to protect her?"

Markov's fury blinded him to the danger. As Joseph spoke, his subordinate Aria of the Phantom Lord's Four Elements appeared silently behind Markov, ready to strike.

"Airspace: Annihilation!" Aria whispered, releasing his magic.

Markov sensed the attack too late.

"President!" Kira shouted.

Reacting in an instant, Kira summoned one of his specialized magic items—a barrier charm imbued with protective enchantments. The charm activated just in time, absorbing the brunt of Aria's attack and shielding Markov.

Aria staggered back, stunned. "What?!"

Kira smirked, his usual cocky demeanor shining through. "Did you really think you could take down Markov that easily? Not while I'm here."

Markov steadied himself, his anger now cold and focused. "Joseph, you've gone too far. You won't escape Fairy Tail's wrath."

Joseph's thought body began to waver, his composure faltering for the first time.

Kira turned to Markov. "President, leave this one to me. You have a guild to protect."

Markov nodded reluctantly. "Be careful, Kira."
