The Monster Who Commands Wars

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: The Silent Victory

Chapter 22: The Silent Victory

The dust had barely settled on the battlefield, yet the effects of the war's conclusion were already rippling through the ninja world. The Third Great Ninja War had officially ended, with treaties being signed and villages retreating to lick their wounds. But for Ryouhei Kurozaki, this was only the beginning of the next phase.

Hidden in the depths of his stronghold, he reviewed the war's final outcomes. Every step had unfolded as he had anticipated. The five great nations had exhausted their resources, leaving them weak and vulnerable. Their trust in one another had eroded even further, and beneath their fragile peace lay the seeds of future conflicts.

But what pleased him most was the fact that his name remained unknown. No one suspected that a single man had played such a crucial role in shaping the war's end. The victory belonged to Konoha, to Iwa, to Suna, and the other nations—at least, that's what they believed.

Ryouhei smirked. Let them celebrate. They think the war is over, but in truth, it's only been rewritten.

The Aftermath in Konoha

Konoha had emerged as the strongest force among the Great Nations, but the scars of war ran deep. The village had lost many shinobi, including some of its greatest warriors. With Hiruzen Sarutobi stepping down as Hokage, the title was passed to Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash of Konoha.

Minato's appointment was both a symbol of hope and a political maneuver. He was beloved by the people, a war hero with unmatched speed and intellect. But even as he took the mantle of Hokage, Ryouhei could see the challenges he would soon face. The village was weakened, and its enemies were watching.

Danzo, ever the schemer, had retreated into the shadows. His influence had been shaken but not broken. He had lost valuable assets, and Root had taken heavy hits due to Ryouhei's silent interference. Yet, Danzo was not a man who accepted defeat easily.

From his underground lair, Danzo met with his most trusted subordinates. "The war may have ended, but threats remain. We must prepare for what comes next."

Ryouhei watched from afar. He had successfully exposed some of Root's darkest secrets, causing internal strife, but he knew that Danzo was a survivor. The old warhawk would not go down so easily.

Let him plot. In the end, his ambitions will be nothing more than a tool for my own designs.

The World Adjusts

Outside Konoha, the other villages were in turmoil. The Hidden Stone had lost its momentum after the war, forced into a defensive position. The Hidden Mist remained shrouded in secrecy, with internal conflicts brewing under its surface. The Sand, weakened but not destroyed, sought to rebuild under its new leadership.

Meanwhile, whispers of an unknown force—the remnants of Ryouhei's Hollow Veil—spread through the underworld. Mercenaries, rogue ninja, and black-market traders spoke of weapons that had changed the course of war, of a silent force that had provided an advantage to those willing to pay the price. Yet no one knew where these innovations had come from.

Ryouhei ensured that no trace led back to him. His presence was like a ghost, influencing the world without ever leaving a mark.

Ryouhei's Next Step

In the solitude of his hidden fortress, Ryouhei finally allowed himself a moment of peace. He stood on the balcony overlooking the dark landscape, the cold air sharp against his skin. The war had ended, but his work was far from over.

His network was stronger than ever, his influence growing in ways no village leader could comprehend. While the Great Nations focused on rebuilding, he was already looking beyond them.

The shinobi world was still clinging to outdated traditions, still blind to the potential of true evolution. Ryouhei would be the one to bring that change, not through open war, but through something far greater—an unseen revolution.

He glanced at the map before him, each major village marked with symbols of his making. There were still pieces to move, still enemies to dismantle, and still secrets to uncover. But for now, he allowed himself a rare moment of satisfaction.

The war is over. But the real game has just begun.
