The One Punch Man (a.k.a Saitama) in Demon Slayer

Chapter 48: Chapter 46: Peace… For Now?

The silence left behind by Muzan's death was almost unnerving. For the first time in centuries, the air felt… light. The world itself seemed to exhale, as if a massive weight had finally been lifted.

The Hashira stood in place, unable to fully comprehend what had just happened.

"Is… is that it?" Mitsuri whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "Are we… actually free?"

Tengen's flamboyant grin returned. "That's what it looks like! We should celebrate this with a festival — no, a mega-ultra-festival!"

Giyuu glanced at the ash that once was Muzan. "It feels… strange. Like something is missing."

Sanemi slammed his hand against a tree. "Damn it, this wasn't even a battle! This was just… a bald guy cleaning up for us!"

Kyojuro, ever the optimist, placed a hand on Sanemi's shoulder. "Don't think of it that way! Our duty was always to protect humanity — and now humanity is safe! No matter who delivered the final blow!"

Sanemi grumbled but said nothing.

Saitama's Next Problem: Getting Home

A short distance away, Saitama stood with his arms crossed, staring at the sky.

"How do I even get back home?" he muttered.

There were no portals, no dimensional cracks. He had arrived in this world by accident — and now, it seemed, he was stuck.

Nezuko, in her human form, tugged on his cape. "Onii-chan, are you leaving already?"

Saitama looked down at her. "Well, I mean… I guess I could stay a bit longer. There's nothing to fight back home anyway."

Tanjiro, who had just arrived after handling some straggling demons, bowed deeply. "Saitama-san… thank you. You saved the world."

Saitama scratched his cheek. "It wasn't a big deal. I'm used to it."

The Hashira approached, forming a respectful line. One by one, they bowed in gratitude — even Sanemi, though he did it reluctantly.

"It's kind of weird," Saitama said. "Usually people just complain that I end fights too fast."

"No complaints here," said Tengen with a laugh. "Fast or not, you saved all our lives."

The Demon Slayer Corps' Future

With Muzan dead, the very purpose of the Demon Slayer Corps was suddenly… gone.

"What do we even do now?" Mitsuri wondered aloud.

"Maybe we should become monster slayers," Tengen suggested. "Or alien slayers. Something with flair!"

Tanjiro shook his head. "No matter what happens, we should stay together. Even if demons are gone, there's still a world to protect."

Rengoku clapped his hands. "That's the spirit!"

A New Threat Already?

Just as everyone started to relax, the ground trembled slightly.

Not a violent shake like before — more like a ripple. A disturbance in the air. Saitama felt it immediately.

"That felt familiar," he muttered.

From the sky, a small black cube descended, floating silently in front of Saitama's face.

"What the heck is this?" Zenitsu yelped, hiding behind Inosuke.

Saitama narrowed his eyes. "I know this thing. It's from my world."

He grabbed the cube — and a metallic voice echoed:

"Interdimensional Rift Detected. Return Protocol Activated."

Before anyone could react, the cube opened into a swirling portal — and standing on the other side was…

Genos.

"Sensei!" Genos shouted. "I've been tracking your energy signature across dimensions! Are you alright?"

Saitama raised a hand in greeting. "Yo."

The Hashira stared, completely confused. "Who is this shiny guy?" Inosuke asked.

"That's my disciple," Saitama said casually.

Genos scanned the area, his eyes landing on the ashes of Muzan and the gathered Hashira. "It seems Sensei has already resolved this world's threat."

Saitama yawned. "Yeah, it wasn't much."

Genos' arms transformed into sleek blasters. "Shall I open the portal wider so you can return?"

Saitama glanced back at the Hashira and Tanjiro. For the first time, he actually hesitated.

"You know…" Saitama muttered, "this place was kinda fun. Maybe I'll stick around a little longer."

Genos looked mildly confused but nodded obediently. "Understood, Sensei."

A New Beginning

With demons gone, the world entered a new era — one of rebuilding, of peace… but also of unknowns.

If one dimensional rift could bring Saitama here, who's to say other things wouldn't follow?

In the shadows, unnoticed by anyone, a crack formed in the sky — faint, but growing. Something else was watching. Something not from Saitama's world, or this one.

But for now, Saitama sat beside a campfire, eating grilled meat with his new friends, while Genos awkwardly tried to socialize with the Hashira.

Peace… for now.
