["Alright, joke aside."]
The system's voice suddenly shifted, dropping its usual mocking tone. It was serious now.
["We have two months until the entrance exam,"] it continued. ["So... let's take a tour of your multiverse for practice."]
Zar blinked. His mind stalled for a moment before catching up.
"...What?"
["A tour of your multiverse,"] the system repeated as if it were stating something as obvious as the sky being blue.
Zar squinted. "What the hell are you even saying?"
["Use your brain and think."]
The condescending tone was back.
Zar frowned but did as the system instructed. His thoughts raced through the information he had gathered so far. Innate Multiverse—that meant it was something inherently tied to him, right? If it was bound to his very existence, then...
"Oh," Zar muttered, realization striking him like a bolt of lightning. "So it can act as my background multiverse? A place where I can train, familiarize myself with this Nexus Verse, and—"
["Okay, okay, I get it!"] the system interrupted, its voice carrying a hint of exasperation. ["You actually have a functioning brain. No need to flex it in my presence."]
Before Zar could argue, a golden interface materialized before his eyes.
---
[Transferring You to Multiverse #9008]
---
A blinding light swallowed his vision.
Zar barely had time to react before he felt his entire existence being pulled through the very fabric of reality. Space twisted around him. Time became an abstract concept. He felt like he was both everywhere and nowhere, like his entire being was being unraveled and reassembled at the same time.
Then—
Silence.
When he opened his eyes, he found himself floating in an unknown space.
But it was no ordinary void.
Everywhere he looked, countless light orbs drifted in the endless abyss. They shimmered with strange hues—colors that defied logic, colors he couldn't even name. The orbs pulsed and shifted, constantly changing, as if dancing to an unseen rhythm of existence itself.
Zar's breath hitched. His heart pounded.
"...What is this place?"
He reached out to touch one of the glowing orbs, curiosity taking over. But just before his fingers could make contact, the system's voice rang in his mind.
["Do you know what those are?"]
Zar turned his gaze to the floating lights once more. His mind tried to rationalize them, to understand—
But he had no answer.
"...No," he admitted.
The system let out an amused chuckle.
["They are cheats."]
Zar blinked. "...Huh?"
["Cheats. Gifts. Divine protections. Special abilities. Each of these orbs holds power meant for the chosen protectors of this multiverse."]
Zar processed the information carefully. So these glowing spheres were actual blessings, meant to empower individuals. His first instinct should have been awe, shock, or even excitement.
But instead—
He chose silence.
The system paused.
["...Aren't you at least surprised?"]
A smirk crept onto Zar's lips. He tilted his head, eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Got you."
A beat of silence.
Then—
["...Uh. Whatever."] The system almost sounded like it was pouting. ["Now, enough distractions. You should head to your palace."]
Zar's smirk disappeared.
"...My what?"
["Your palace. You know, that thing rulers usually have?"]
Zar narrowed his eyes. "The hell are you talking about? What palace? What else have you been hiding from me?"
Silence.
Then, after a long pause—
["Hiding? When did I hide anything? This is simply the best time for you to learn about it."]
Zar pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm not talking about when—I'm asking what palace you're even talking about!"
The system hummed in realization.
["Oh, you meant that. Well, nothing much, just—"]
A brief pause.
["You own this multiverse."]
Zar froze.
His thoughts stopped.
The silence stretched between them, long and suffocating.
And then—
"...WHAT THE F*CK DID YOU JUST SAY?!"
["Tch, no need to shout,"] the system grumbled. ["I said, you are the master of this multiverse, not the creator. There's a big difference."]
Zar was still trying to process the first part, but the second immediately grabbed his attention.
His brows furrowed. "Wait… not the creator?"
["Obviously."] The system's tone was laced with amusement. ["And don't even think about asking me who the creator is. You already know how this works."]
Zar sighed. "Yeah, yeah, I get it. Low authority, restricted knowledge, yadda yadda…"
["Glad we're on the same page."]
A sudden interface popped up before him.
---
[Coordinates to Your Palace Have Been Uploaded]
Coordinates: 7n8v34s3 h90
---
Zar deadpanned.
"...What the f*ck is this coordinate?"
["The location of your palace. Obviously."]
Zar gritted his teeth. "I know that. I'm asking what that even means and how the hell I can go there!"
["Figure it out yourself. Bye! Let's meet again after you arrive at your palace!"]
"Wai—"
Before he could finish his sentence, the system's presence vanished.
Gone.
Zar stood there, staring at the floating interface, his hands trembling with frustration.
"...That little—"
He inhaled sharply, exhaled through clenched teeth, and took a deep breath to calm himself.
Then he looked at the glowing orbs once more.
His multiverse, huh?
A grin crept onto his face.
He didn't know what awaited him at this so-called palace, but there was one thing he did know—
He was about to uncover yet another secret of this absurdly overpowered world.
And he was ready.
With that thought, he stepped forward—toward the unknown.
But just as he moved forward—
["Wait."]
The system's voice abruptly cut through the silence.
Zar halted mid-step, an eye twitching in irritation. "What now?"
["I forgot to give you your mission."]
Before he could protest, an interface materialized before him.
---
[New Mission Assigned]
Mission: Find the way and reach your destination.
Reward: Not saying. _|_
---
Zar stared at the screen. His expression shifted from mild annoyance to blank disbelief.
Then, slowly, his face twisted into sheer irritation.
"...Are you serious?"
["Absolutely."]
"What the hell does 'Not saying ' even mean, and what's with this sign?!" Zar grumbled.
["It means what it means,"] the system responded nonchalantly. ["Now, good luck!"]
And just like that, the system vanished again.
Zar took a deep breath, clenched his fists, and muttered under his breath—
"I swear, one day... one day, I'm going to make that damn system suffer."
With that, he turned his attention back to the glowing expanse before him.
The unknown awaited.
And this time—there was no turning back.
