Chapter 8: Structure Of The Game
Feng Yun narrowed his eyes, his piercing gaze intensifying. "Tell me, what would you like to do? Kill him, huh?"
The young man hesitated, guilt etched on his face. "N-no, I don't want to fight him."
Feng Yun's expression softened, a mix of disappointment and understanding. He patted the young man's shoulder. "Power comes with great responsibility. You can't act on impulse without thinking through the consequences."
Raven's booming voice silenced the crowd. "Enough! No one speaks until I allow it."
The crowd stared at Raven, frozen in silence. His gaze swept across the room, eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity. "Ask your questions."
A man in the crowd spoke up, his trembling voice barely audible. "S-sir, may I ask... who are you, and why are you here?"
Raven's annoyance was palpable. "Did you not hear my introduction? I am the Great Three-Eyed Raven. I'm here to guide you, but don't expect coddling. Ask quickly."
A woman sobbed, her trembling voice heart-wrenching. "Why... why are you doing this to me? I lost my family, my children... everyone I cared about."
Raven's gaze turned cold, his eyes glinting with impatience. "Ask the creator, not me."
Feng Yun's eyes narrowed, his mind racing. "Creator?" he thought, but pushed the question aside, focusing on the present.
Riyal spoke up, curiosity filling his voice. "Sir, as we know, this is The Path to Godhood. Can you explain the rules?"
Raven sighed, his expression weary. "Finally, a decent question. The game's structure is simple:
"First, conquer worlds using your strength, mind, or with any possible way. The guiding system will assist with resources and guidance.
"Second, you'll be teleported to different worlds, each with challenges and opportunities.
"Third, you'll be grouped into teams of five to conquer each world."
Riyal's eyes widened with excitement. "So, we'll be transported to different worlds? Like Isekai anime?"
Feng Yun raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "Isekai?"
Riyal's face turned bright red, and he looked around nervously. "N-never mind."
Another person asked, "How will the system assist us?"
Raven's expression turned annoyed. "The system provides guidance. Don't expect it to hold your hand."
The crowd's eyes darkened, fear etched on their faces. But one boy stood tall, his voice firm. "I'm not playing your game."
