Chapter 1309  Changing Plan

Lory walked down the hall and then arrived at the stairs that pointed down, Lory felt uneasy but there was no other way other than this ladder and she planned to investigate this place so she had no other choice. Lory descended the stairs with both hands tucked in his white robe while holding his weapon tightly. She didn't hear any sound and this made her more alert. Not long after Lory arrived at the basement, Lory tapped the key card after hearing a 'Beep' sound, she pushed the door and entered a dim room lit with greenish light that made the room feel eerie. Lory then heard the sound of water bubbles and the monotonous sound of machines filled the room.

It wasn't strange so she followed the sound and was surprised by several tanks containing the Beasts's bodies that covered in vines and several tanks containing beating hearts that were overgrown with roots.

As Lory leaned closer she saw a strange object inside the heart, could it be it's the same stone inside the Maren but the stone didn't look like stone but it looked soft, like a pomegranate seed, could it be this what it looked like if it was inside a living heart?

"This where they create the Bael..." Lory gulped Heavily.

Lory quickly regain her composure then begin to take pictures, after she's done Lory continue to check the computer to digged any information she could get.

'After the Life Seed infects its host, the host will have the ability to feel no pain and increase aggressiveness and the ability to regenerate, but the life seed is weak against direct impact with strong pure energy, such as Lucient's power and when the Host died the seed will be dried out and turn into a stone with a divine mark.

Furthermore, through careful and long experiments we have found that the healing power of the Healers has proven useful to nurtured the Progenitor's body, and the better the condition of the progenitor's body, the higher the quality of the seed of life...'

Lory Heart Stop, what does this mean? Is this what they did to the Healer who disappeared? What does that mean by 'nurture?

Lory feel her stomach churn, nevertheless she must continue '...More experiment show that the healer's healing power can be used for many things because of the nonbiligerent nature of it compare to other Gift, overall we just found an ashtounding discovery that never been explore before by anyone'

"This can't be good" Lory bit her lips.

Lory then type the words 'Proyek Genesis'

Shortly after another file document appeared on the screen, Lory clicked on it and a line of words appeared.

'We tried to revive the Progenitor seedling that we called 'The scion' with the healing power, unfortunately the healing power possed by the healer was not enough, the healer died from mana exhaustion without giving any results. We assumed since the healing power contained a light power similar to the Lucient family it would able to revive the Scion but we were wrong, all our efforts ended in vain regardless of the number of healers we sacrificed...'

Rage filled her heart as she read the whole document, how could she not, These people dared to conduct experiment on humans beings! Lory become even more anxious with the possibility that one of the Healers could be Marissa, if that true, how could she conveyed this news to Lydia?

Lory painstakingly try to calm her anger regardless what she felt right now, she needed to get all the information before someone came, therefore, she continued.

"...Then we came up with a theory if it can't be absorbed from the outside how about we try from the inside, using the life seed as an example and thus we conducted a new experiment.

The host died from mana exhaustion but the seed showed optimistic results. However, continuously changing the Host was ineffective and the results given were very little, and times is not in our side therefore we must another route need to be taken if we wanted the genesis project to continue, therefore we took the greatest risk...'

All of a sudden, Lory heard footsteps, she immediately turn of the computer then jump off from the chair, she rolled on the floor and hid behind one of the tanks.

"Hey, do you think it's okay?" A woman with a white robe enters the room with a man with the same white robe, they look like lab technicians.

"Well, It's not something you need to be worried about ..." The man answered nonchalantly while checking the specimens inside the tank.

The woman lean on her desk and speak with trouble tone, "I ... know, but...this doesn't feel right, I feel like I involve with something very bad, don't you -"

"Psst, be quiet!" the man pres his index finger on his lips, his eyes darted left and right then with quiet tone, he warned her "You know there are ears all over this place, if they heard what you say you will lose more than just your job!"

The woman realized her mistake, she covered her mouth reflexively and then looked left and right, afraid that someone or CCTV would hear her.

"Just do your job, don't think anything beyond your pay grade" He sternly reprimand her.

The woman nodded dejectedly, she calmed herself down then pulled out her work chair and started working but a few moments later she started to grumble "Does Ethan Hamilton agree to work with us, if not, If not how do we continue our work?"

"Nah, not yet, that man is so stubborn, I hope miss Reynolds would be able to knocked some sense to him" said the man.

Lory Eyes widened, 'They're Got Ethan Hamilton!' Lory was utterly shock but the next second she feel apprehensive cause if that true then it will overhauled her entire plan.

Lory pondered what decision she should make, right now there was only the worst plan and the worst plan, so what would she choose. Lory sighed in resignation, it seemed like she would take the worst plan. The man was holding a tablet while checking the experiments in the tank one by one while the woman was typing at her desk while sitting with her back to the tank.

Lory circled the tank then sneaked behind the man, he didn't even notice when Lory hit the back of his head and knocked him down but before he fell, Lory grabbed him by the armpit then slowly lowered him without making a sound so the woman didn't notice anything. The next target is the woman, Lory slowly got behind the woman who was busy typing. The woman was concentrating on her task when she felt cold metal pressing against her temple, instantly she was froze.

"Don't look back, be quiet!" Lory coldly said.

The woman whole body become stiffed and her hands stop moving.

"WAIT!" the woman scream "Wait, don't kill me...I just...I just work here!" her voice choked as she beg for her life.

"Tell me where is Ethan Hamilton?"

The woman startled, then reply stuttering "I...I don't know"

Lory chuckles "That's not the answer I hope for, but..oh well, bye-bye" she press the gun harder then pretend to push the trigger.

"WAIT!" the woman scream "Wait, don't kill me...I just...I just work here!" her voice choked as she beg for her life.

"Then tell me What I want" Lory voice was calm and cold.

The woman reluctantly said: "He...he probably in the third floor of lower basement, all the captived were taken there" She didn't dare to lie she thought Lory would definitely kill her if she lied.

Lory frown "All...?"

"Ye...yes?" the woman frightened.

'Thud' Lory hit her the back of her head and a second later she was unconcious. Lory then position her like she was sleeping on the desk, hopefully it will make people that saw her less suspicious. After that she dial her cell phone to called Garrof and Lloyd at the same time.

"Princess!"

"Your highness!"

Lory tapped the earbuds on her ears "Changing plan!" she briskly said.

"We already change it to plan C" Garrof confused.

"Change to Plan D!" Lory got out of the lab then went to exit door and run down the stairs.

"Something happened, your Highness?" Lloyd detect the trouble in Lory voice.

"They got Ethan Hamilton here!" Lory said.

"What?!" Garrof gasped.

"Are you sure?" Lloyd voice become tight from shock.

"That what i try to confirmed it, they said they held captived and Ethan Hamilton is not the only one" As she speak she stumble to one of the lab security.

"HEY!" the men shout.

Lory quickly shot the man in the knee to incapacitated him, while he scream in pain Lory twisted the other man's arm until he loose grip of his gun, then shot him in the jaw and proceed by shooting the other man in the side of his head.

Lory then continue, "...They mention Ethan Hamilton name, they said they coerced him to work for them but he's not agree"

"We're going in right now!" Garrof couldn't let Lory take such a big risk by herself, did she realize her life was worth more than thousands of men like him!

"Wait!" Lory stopped him "You guys keep them busy while I safe Ethan and the others, and when I give you the sign, I wanted you to blow this whole place!"

"We will lure the Dragxtarn and the Argus's agents meanhile you save all the captived" Lloyd amazed Lory could concocted a good plan in a short time.

"Okay, give me half an hour, if I'm not out you still have to blow this place up, don't worry I'll be fine, I'll meet you outside!" Lory reassured them.

"Affirmative!" Lloyd and Garrof answer in tunes.

Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a loud noise and a second later their connection suddenly cut off, probably because she went deeper underground so the signal was lost. Lory took off her earbuds then put them all in her pocket. She raised the gun in front of her chest then carefully pushed the exit door then peeked left and right to make sure no one was there after that she checked the CCTV location. There was one CCTV not far from the exit, Lory slipped under the camera then moved to slide against the wall so the camera wouldn't catch her. After that she walked along the hallway but then her steps stopped she hid behind a pillar. Lory peeked at the doors that were lined up facing each other which were most likely where the prisoners were held, the problem was there were six guards guarding the place. Lory wasn't worried if there were gifted people among them because this place nullified gifted people power but facing six adult men without herpowers was not easy task, thankfully Hadius prepared this bead bracelet for her.

'Thank you Hadius' Lory blows her cheeks then snatch the yellow beads that are infused with electricity, the simple explanation is the bead are a stun bomb.

The guard who had been on guard for more than half a day was very bored and couldn't wait to change shifts with the next guard. He yawned widely when he heard a faint clinking sound and then a yellow marble rolled towards him.

The Guard frowned in confusion, he and the other guards look each other then all of a sudden a strong jolt hit them simultaneously then one by one fell to the floor like flies soon after his vision became blurry, and the last thing he saw was the muzzle of a gun.
