The Rise of the Titan

Chapter 508: Chapter 508: Setting a Small Goal

"Why are you here?" Muria looked surprised to see Hessel, the tall and slender Silvermoon Elf. Nearly fifty years had passed, and this elf had transformed from a petite girl into a graceful, mature woman.

"I was sent here twenty-four years ago by Cassio to invite you to my birthday party," Hessel replied, her demeanor now much more composed and mature. She puffed her cheeks slightly, clearly still annoyed. "But Cassio only managed to transport me here, and not back. So, I've been stuck here ever since."

"Twenty-four years!" Muria, still in his dragon form, scratched his chin, pondering. "That's a long time. If you wanted to return to the Isle of Eternity, you could have found a way by now."

"How? You tell me how I'm supposed to get back to the Isle of Eternity without a teleportation array," Hessel responded, her face showing a mix of frustration and helplessness as she glared at Muria. With her striking looks, traversing the vast ocean and subcontinent to reach the Titan Archipelago would be a perilous journey, likely ending in capture before she even got halfway.

"Couldn't you have contacted your clan's elders to come fetch you?"

"They told me to stay here, to follow you, to fight for you. They even transported my treehouse here," Hessel replied with a resigned sigh, looking up at the massive dragon before her. She suddenly felt small and powerless. She had gradually come to understand her elders' intentions during her twenty-plus years on the floating island. She was no longer the naive girl she once was; she had no real choice in the matter.

"What can one elf accomplish?" Muria lifted his head to the sky, trying to hide the dismissive look in his eyes from the Silvermoon Elf. His realm was filled with exceptional beings of various skills. One more or less elf wouldn't make much difference.

"I'm now the commander of an elven legion," Hessel retorted defiantly. She held a significant force that Muria could no longer ignore.

"An elven legion?" Muria's expression turned curious as he glanced at Mia nearby. What had happened on his island while he was in slumber? How had an entire elven legion ended up here?

"Your Highness, during your sleep, Cassio transported a legion of thirty thousand elves here. This legion was voluntarily sent by the Elven Court of the Isle of Eternity, and Hessel is their appointed commander," Mia explained.

"..." Muria fell silent for a moment, then turned back to Hessel before questioning Cassio, "What happened while I was asleep? Why would the Elven Court send an entire legion to me? It's clear they intend to offer them to me."

"Your Highness, the Elves made this decision because of events preceding your slumber," Cassio responded promptly. He then recounted the "Titan Slays the God" incident, which had shaken Erathia, explaining how it had all unfolded.

"So, the divine essence I received was taken by my grandfather?" Muria's feelings grew complex upon learning about the Storm God's extortion by the Barbaric Lord.

"The main reason the Elves sent the legion was due to this god-slaying battle. You don't need to hesitate in commanding them. As for Hessel, she was somewhat deceived into coming here. So, if you have particular plans for her, it will take some effort as she is not likely to obey readily."

"What do you take me for?" Muria protested, feeling his integrity was being questioned.

"Your Highness, the desires of dragons surpass your imagination. When you were younger, your Titan blood allowed you to suppress these urges, but as you grow and your body matures, you will find it harder to restrain your draconic impulses," Cassio's soft voice echoed in Muria's mind, stirring a restlessness within him. "Even Titans have desires; their bloodline also seeks to propagate."

"Why bring this up now?" Muria felt a surge of frustration as he looked down at Hessel and then at the voluptuous dragonborn girl beside her. A wave of heat coursed through him, making them appear increasingly appealing.

"What are you planning?" Hessel, sensing the shift in Muria's gaze, took a step back, a sense of dread creeping over her. Despite being over two hundred years old and in the prime of her life, she felt vulnerable.

"Tch!" Muria grimaced, releasing a burst of dragonfire. He spread his wings and took off from the cloud island. Folding his wings, he dispelled the surrounding wind elements and plummeted toward the sea below.

With a resounding crash, Muria's massive form hit the water, sending a wave towering over a thousand meters high, spreading out from the impact zone.

"What is he doing?" Hessel wondered, watching the spectacle with a mix of confusion and relief. The dragon had fled the scene after casting an uncomfortable glance at her.

"You're so..." Mia shook her head, having detected the scent of mixed pheromones in the air. "If you had stepped forward just a moment ago, things might have turned out differently. He still yearns for that Seraph. Oh, honestly..."

"Curse this dragon blood," Muria muttered as he submerged himself in the cold ocean, hoping to quell the heat within him. To his dismay, he found the water around him warming up and eventually boiling, steam rising to the surface. The cold sea did nothing to soothe him.

Underwater, the darkness did not hinder his vision. He observed the vibrant and diverse marine life, teeming with countless fascinating creatures, but he had no interest in admiring them.

His draconic blood made even the fish appear oddly attractive. Among the myriad of fish, he could discern the most aesthetically pleasing ones—a baffling sense of dragon aesthetics.

"What's going on? Is it the mating season for these marine creatures?" Muria mused as he moved like a massive underwater volcano. His keen night vision revealed a bizarre scene—a vast coral forest teeming with countless sea creatures, each seeking a mate. When they found a suitable partner, they immediately engaged in mating.

"Though it's nature's way, watching this feels oddly unsettling. And..." Muria's blood boiled with a near-uncontrollable urge. His eyes blazed with a fiery intensity. "Your timing couldn't be worse. You'll have to pay for this!"

With a thunderous roar, Muria, struggling to resist the impulse to join the mating frenzy, released his pent-up frustration. Golden dragon's might surged from him, covering the coral forest.

What followed was a breathtaking sight. Under the influence of his dragon's aura, a dark tide formed—thousands of marine creatures, driven by overwhelming hormones, fled the coral forest in a panicked rush, abandoning their mating rituals.

"Magnificent." Muria felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction watching the spectacle. His inner turmoil eased, and he no longer felt overwhelmed.

"Your Highness, why do this?" Cassio's voice sighed in Muria's mind, clearly aware of the mischief he had caused.

"Ahem, let's get back to business!" Muria broke the surface, changing the subject. "What was the outcome of the Drow Gods' battle? How did Ten-Lord Sayenode and the Nightmare Serpent fare? And what about the Ancient Prison Lord and Cyric?"

"King of the Infernal Giants, Abaddon, shattered Lolth's god-body, but it seems that wasn't her true form. The other four Drow deities were severely injured but not killed. The Drow pantheon has taken a significant blow and will likely remain quiet for a long time."

"Weren't they annihilated?"

"It's the Abyss. To severely injure them is already an achievement. Completely eradicating them is exceedingly difficult."

"And the Nightmare Serpent?"

"After battling Ten-Lord Sayenode for nine days and nights, it lost part of its body. This enraged the Abyssal Will, prompting it to awaken more of its vile creatures. Sayenode had no choice but to retreat, allowing the Drow deities to survive.

As for Cyric and the Ancient Prison Lord, after a three-day battle, the opportunistic deity surrendered, offering a fragment of divine essence as compensation."

"I see." Muria hovered beneath the blue sky and white clouds, gazing towards the Senapsis subcontinent, his heart filled with mixed emotions. Because of the trouble he had caused, his elders had fiercely defended him.

"Cassio!"

"Yes, Your Highness?"

"Don't you think the Titan Archipelago is too small?"

"Uh..."

"How about I conquer the Senapsis subcontinent and establish a Titan nation?" Muria asked, a spark of ambition in his eyes.
