The Rise of the Titan

Chapter 525: Chapter 525: Becoming a Sage

"Is it done?" The white dragon lounging on the Ice Throne looked at the Titan entering the grand hall.

"Yes, send your frost giants to this location as soon as possible." Muria pointed, and a beam of light shot towards Claudia's forehead.

The Frost Queen didn't resist and allowed the light, which contained spatial coordinates, to enter her mind. It posed no danger.

"I'll have them sent within three days. When are you planning to attack the frost giant tribes?" Claudia inquired after receiving the coordinates, summoning an elder dragon to relay the instructions.

"I need some time to consolidate the frost giants first."

"Why not just launch an attack directly? Do you really think those frost giants will help you fight? Your punch alone is more effective than all of them combined."

"The main issue is the subsequent governance and development," Muria frowned. "I've noticed that the frost giants' civilization has stagnated at a primitive level. Despite the long years, they've made no progress, which is astonishing."

"With gods interfering, what's so surprising? It's a wonder these frost giants have any civilization at all," Claudia replied lazily.

"The gods," Muria's frown deepened, "prefer ignorant and unrefined frost giants for their faith needs, but that's not what I need."

"What do you plan to do?" Claudia sat up slightly on her Ice Throne.

"I'm going to try being a sage."

"Huh?" Claudia was taken aback and looked incredulous. "You mean..."

"I'm going to enlighten them, let the light of civilization shine on all the frost giants, and lift them out of their current state of ignorance and barbarity," Muria declared.

"I just wanted you to conquer the three major frost giant tribes around me..." Claudia was slightly stunned by Muria's grand ambition, "I didn't expect you to become a sage."

"I'll likely be on this continent for a long time."

"Wait, Muria, wanting to be a sage for the frost giants is no easy task. To make civilization's light shine on every frost giant, you'll need to conquer them first."

"I understand. Frost giants, with their primitive societal structure, operate on a pure survival of the fittest principle. The strong rise to power. To become a sage and lead their civilization forward, I must first defeat and conquer all the frost giants so they'll listen to me."

"The Depresonis Subcontinent is at least a third controlled by frost giants. Despite their barbarism, under the support of various ice and snow deities, they wield immense power and are the undisputed dominant race here."

"What are you trying to say?"

"Need any help? Such vast lands require armies to guard once you conquer them. I can lend you my legion."

"Hmph, you should focus on consolidating the human territories you've already taken. You want more while still chewing what's on your plate."

"I'm just concerned you might be short on manpower."

"I'm not just fresh out of the Titan Isles. This is already the fifth subcontinent I've traveled to. Do you think I still have nothing to my name, not even someone to command? You underestimate me."

"Where's your legion then?"

"They'll arrive shortly. I came ahead to assess the situation. I hope you won't be too shocked when you see Synapse." Muria eagerly anticipated Claudia's reaction upon seeing Synapse, thinking it would be amusing.

"Is it really that impressive?"

"You'll see when the time comes." Muria observed Claudia, who dwarfed typical white dragons in size, "Now, tell me, how do you plan to manage the humans? And about the rumors of you slaughtering five million humans."

"Do you believe those slanders?"

"Of course not. I know you wouldn't be so bloodthirsty. But still, how many did you kill when you conquered the four human nations?"

"A bit over 2.3 million, that's all."

"That's about what I heard," Muria nodded, "None of them were civilians, right?"

"Mostly soldiers from the four nations. Conquering four human nations in such a short time required bloodshed to intimidate the others into submission. Even then, there's still resistance and rebellion. The Northlanders are quite tough and fearless," Claudia sighed. "Some civilians died too, those caught in the crossfire. It couldn't be helped."

"As long as it's not slaughter for the sake of slaughter." Muria relaxed. Although no longer human, he still opposed killing humans for sport.

"For governance, the first step is drafting a legal code. So far, I've only issued some rough laws."

"I can recommend someone to help with that." Muria summoned Miles from Synapse and brought him before Claudia.

"Miles? You've advanced to a legendary rank." The Frost Queen examined the devil, still much smaller than Muria's foot.

"Long time no see, Miss Claudia. You look even more radiant," Miles recognized the white dragon on the Ice Throne and quickly complimented her. "Compared to Your Highness and Miss Claudia, I'm insignificant."

"Indeed, you are."

"..." Miles stiffened slightly.

"Miles, Claudia has conquered four human principalities," Muria said to the devil beside him, "She needs a legal code to govern both humans and monsters. You will oversee the drafting of this code."

Devils are known for their cunning and their ability to manipulate contract terms to deceive and entrap intelligent beings.

"There's no need to oversee. Though I don't have many talents, I have enough for drafting laws. Miles can just review the code for any loopholes. The requirements aren't high."

"Very simple, as you wish, Miss Claudia." The devil bowed slightly.

"Where is Synapse now? How long until it reaches my current location?" Muria asked.

"It has arrived on the Depresonis Subcontinent, about a month away."
