The Rise of the Titan

Chapter 527: Chapter 527: Battle and Ascension

"Of course." The frost giant chieftain wasn't particularly moved by the sudden appearance of a Titan. Despite the instinctive urge his frost giant bloodline felt, he easily suppressed it with his willpower. His legendary rank wasn't entirely due to divine blessings; after all, gods weren't fools. They wouldn't waste their power to help someone without genuine talent break through their bloodline shackles. This chieftain had significant abilities of his own.

"It's a pity. I guess I'll have to use more physical methods to persuade you to follow me," Muria sighed with a tone of regret. He then looked down at the frost giant chieftain, who barely reached his waist. "I won't bully you. I'll give you the chance to attack me first. Use any method you like. If you can make me take a step back, I'll leave with the frost giants willing to follow me and never set foot in the Frostwolf Tribe again. If you can't, then you'll kneel and submit to me."

"Are you challenging me?" The frost giant chieftain sensed something was off about Muria's words, but he didn't care anymore. His breathing became heavier. Although he refused to bow to Muria, it didn't change the Titan's status in his mind, equal to that of his god.

"You don't have the power to fight me fairly, frost giant," Muria stated. Even though the chieftain seemed on the verge of breaking into the fourth tier of the legend rank, Muria didn't consider him a match.

From his battles across the ocean, Muria had already gauged his place within the legendary ranks. Although newly ascended, his combat strength was between mid and high-level legendary. He could even contend with higher legendary beings with lesser innate advantages.

"I'm just giving you a chance. Come, strike me with all your might and show me the power granted by your Wolf God."

"Titan, I will show you my strength." Muria's confident demeanor angered the chieftain, making him feel slighted.

"Everyone, stand back. Don't get caught in your chieftain's power," Muria advised the frost giants as the chieftain's body began to condense an icy armor and his aura surged, dispersing the surrounding storm.

Sensing their chieftain's growing power, the frost giants, already convinced by Muria, quickly retreated, taking their frost wolf companions with them, to a safe distance.

"Take your time and gather your strength. I'll stand here and let you attack," Muria smiled warmly, displaying the magnanimity of a Titan. Hmm, he had said something similar before.

To the frost giant chieftain, Muria's words felt like a condescension, making him grip his wolf-tooth club even tighter. Although on the brink of breaking into legendary tier four, he couldn't see any possibility of defeat for himself.

"Wrath of the Wolf God!" As the chieftain continued to gather his power, a massive white wolf apparition appeared above him, silently roaring.

"What a big Samoyed!" Muria couldn't help but comment, "Just a bit fiercer, not as gentle."

"Behold my power, Titan!" With a roar, the chieftain raised his wolf-tooth club high. At that moment, the fierce Samoyed above him almost solidified.

"Awwooo!" As the club came down, the giant white wolf leaped at Muria, bringing with it a gust of wind and snow, as if it were a real, gigantic wolf.

"Not bad!" Muria lifted his Poleaxe and slashed down on the wolf. A crescent-shaped blade arc appeared, slicing through the center of the white wolf. The wolf, made purely of frost energy, disintegrated into a surge of icy waves, sweeping outward.

The crescent arc that dispersed the wolf did not lose much of its power and continued towards the charging chieftain.

*Crack!* The chieftain's expression changed as the arc, carving a trench in the frozen ground, sped towards him. He blocked with his wolf-tooth club, but the impact shattered his weapon.

*Boom!* *Boom!*… The chieftain managed to withstand the slash, but the force hurled him backwards, smashing into the ground and collapsing his rudimentary ice houses. His momentum continued, plowing through the terrain...

"A sturdy body, but lacking in strength," Muria remarked, watching the chieftain carve a deep furrow in the ground, smashing through ice hills as he went.

"After taking that hit, he should be pretty damaged. I seem to have broken his weapon. Does he still have the courage to continue fighting without it?"

As Muria finished speaking, an even more intense aura spiraled out from a partially collapsed snow mountain. The spiraling energy created a vortex with a radius of over ten kilometers, disrupting the weather and stopping the falling snow. The sky cleared.

"Interesting," Muria observed the swirling vortex with a squint and a smile. "Such a rare occurrence, and it's all because of me."

"Titan!" A roar, tinged with unwillingness, pride, and a hint of boastfulness, echoed from the crumbling ice mountain. The ice shattered, and a giant with pale skin and light blue braided hair emerged. Frost energy roared into his body, then surged out, forming a large ice battle axe in his hands.

"Thank you for breaking my barriers and making me stronger," the chieftain sneered, ravenously absorbing the ice elements. His aura continued to climb, seemingly without end. The deep wound on his chest from Muria's slash healed rapidly.

"You're welcome," Muria replied politely to the chieftain's gratitude. "So, how much longer will you need?"

"What?" The chieftain, feeling that he should now be exerting some pressure on the Titan, hesitated, slightly confused.

"I asked how long it will take for you to control the surge of power from your breakthrough," Muria clarified, frowning. "Is my question difficult to understand?"
