The Sinner's Harem: Sins of the Anti-hero

Birds were chirping outside the window as Evan woke up. Sunlight entered into the room hitting his face and making him get out of bed lazily.

He stretched, letting out a small yawn, and blinked a few times before looking at the time admiring the pure pollution free air of this world.

Walking over to the mirror on the wall, Evan looked at himself as a smile appeared on his face his face.

A seventeen-year-old with black hair that seemed to look well above average, like some tv star or model, dark black eyes that too is the most common colour , and a sharp jawline which was probably the most striking part of him.

"Not bad," he said, running a hand through his black messy hair. "If being handsome was a crime, I'd be in jail for life." He said with a chuckle as he gave himself one last look before he turned around and walked towards the cuburds.

It was time to start the another day at his work.

It has been a little over a month since he first appeared in this world and after leaving the island, he started working at Oliver's place as well, you could say head butler.

Through he doesn't have to clean or anything as his only duty is to look around if there is anything suspicious as Oliver is somewhat higher in government and has a lot of enemies and thankfully he as always has recieved training for this type of work too.

'There is no work or profession that we, Artificials are not trained for...'

However, this being a sort of mediaeval world doesn't help either as him being a clean freak with weak immunity, all he wanted was cleanliness and hygienic food.

So he take the duty of cooking on himself, as bad food is always the biggest reason of developing any disease and as for cleaning, there were a couple of more maids here and Evan worked them to bone to remove every chance of any kind of nasty disease developing here.

Of course he too helped those two old ladies who are also his only coworkers here and mostly because he just can't sit free, he never has gotton a chance to do so that's why, he is always doing any kind of chore whenever you see it.

While at it, he has also came to know the fact that the alcohol in this world can substitute his injections however after a month of using them, he is starting to feel thier effects wear off atleast for the weak one.

But at the rate they are going, they will still last him a month or two at best.

A white shirt, a black tie, a black coat, black pants, black shoes and lastly white gloves to finish off, Evan looked at himself in the mirror, styling his hair for one last time before nodding and walked towards kitchen.

The house wasn't big, but wasn't small either, it has enough room for many people to live in privacy with around 15 seprate rooms alone, with living room, kitchen, etc.

It was a small mantion to say the least but having seen even bigger and better facilities, this place doesn't suprise or excite me at all but for commoners in this world, this is peak luxury.

Beside commoners, there are also nobles in this world with a total of 3 empire and dragon kingdom being a part of Rose Empire with a Royal Family operating all the kingdom under it.

Under the royal family of Rose Empire are King class nobles who rules over various Kingdoms and Dukes who manages various states of a kingdom and all the remaining people are commoners.

"Morning Evan," an old lady in maid uniform said as I walked in the kitchen as she left, she wasn't old per se but certainly well pass the young age, I even forgot her name if I have to be honest.

The other maid was named Tamayo tho, "Good morning," I said walking in the kitchen knowing fully well that she is here to help me cook.

"Where is Tamayo?" I asked, usually she is the one who helps me with this and that was the reason I was able to remember her name atleast.

"Master Oliver has to visit a nearby city today," The old lady said and continued, "So Tamayo left with master..." She said as I nods, this happens once in a while so I wasn't suprised by this.

Though it's rare...

"Well, let us get started then," I said as look at vegetables and spices in front of me, it was time for my cooking talent to shine once again...

"The only good thing Oliver ever did was to hire amyou as cook," Maya said as she eat various dishes on the table one after another.

"What are these?" She said pointing at, "they are called french fries," they say these are really tasty, too bad I don't feel anything when I eat them.

"I see, they are the best thing I ever had in my life, I doubt even royal cooks are better than you." She said as she eat one fries after another as a smile appeared on my face.

One thing I have realised after staying here for a month is that Maya is an absolute foodie, she just loves eating and is equally beautiful to say the least.

I wonder how Oliver bagged someone as gorgeous as her, probably due to his government job, those are girls magnet.

I mean, just look at her, even as a mother of a son just two years younger than me and bring in her late thirties, she is still a beautiful blonde who can play FL and no one will suspect her age.

Another thing I realised, it's that I absolutely love when someone appreciate my cooking, and the amount of praise my cooking has received here is more than I could possibly imagine.

I have cooked for almost my entire life, to the point my hands were filled with cuts and burns but never have someone so genuinely appreciated my cooking, or any of my other skill.

It was for the first time something like this has happened and it always make me out extra effort in my cooking, just so I can see her smile.

"Seriously, where do you learn cooking like these?"

"I have been trained in cooking... a lot," I said after thinking for a bit, 'After all, there a world where the better you cook, the near you are to divine, it is a sacred art, so it's not suprise we were trained for it to almost literal death.'

"That so? Why don't you join me, eating alone is boring, you know." She said as I looked around, the dining table was empty.

Usually, Oliver, Maya and thier Son have breakfasts together but Oliver has gone out today and due to some reasons, he take his son with him.

So it was first time Maya was alone at home as far as I have seen as I wonder why Oliver take his son with him though I have an idea about it.

'To make him a Soul Warrior...' I thought, even though he has a soul core, it was still empty as he has hunted no special Para-demon but it seems it will change as just tommorow there was some news that a city nearby was attacked by para-demons.

One more thing is that even Para-demon have type of common and special type with special type being better at everything and have a special ability too.

Like my X-ray can qualify as a special ability while common type only show physical aspect like the one with Nicolas.

That's why, I have hidden my X-ray but only show that I have special eyes which expand my vision which is believable as many animals too can see in distance.

One more intresting fact is even if you gave common para, you will get a special ability on General rank but if you have Special Para-demon, you can unlock it at Soldier rank and give it a power up on General rank.

Even Oliver too only has a common Para-demon which can help him run fast but that's all, I wonder what kind of Para-demon they are after.

But anyways, "I can't eat them, be-"

"Yea yea, because of the reasons you can't share. I know, but you can tell me okay? I will try my best to help you, if I can..."

"Thanks, just hearing you say this is good enough for me..." I said as a genuine smile appeared on my face.

Time does heal you, atleast I have gotton over Kelvin's death, he was a good guy even though I know him for only a day or two.

With a giggle, Maya looked at me, "Hehe, I will let you taste my cooking someday, you will love it for sure." She said, sounding a bit proud of her cooking.

This is the reason I haven't told her that I can't taste things properly... I wonder how beautiful her smile will be when she cooks.
