The Strongest Artist in Naruto

Chapter 118: Chapter 53: C2 Special Type - Fire Dragon

"It's you… Akatsuki." Mei's expression darkened as she spotted Deidara and Kisame.

"That's right. What brings you all the way here?" Deidara turned to face her. Despite being outnumbered, his confidence showed—his strength was nothing to fear.

Terumi Mei cast a glance at Kisame, who was locked in a fierce battle with the Three-Tails. A trace of urgency flickered in her eyes.

"The Three-Tails belongs to Kirigakure. It's only natural that it should return to us."

"That's not happening," Deidara replied bluntly.

"Although I did appreciate our cooperation last time, especially with revealing the truth about the Fourth Mizukage…" Mei began, her tone serious. "When it comes to something as critical as a tailed beast, I won't yield!"

The steel in her voice caused the Kirigakure shinobi around her to ready themselves for battle.

Deidara let out an exaggerated sigh. "Well, if that's the case, I guess we'll just have to defeat you."

"Stand back. Chōjūrō and I will handle this." Mei directed her subordinates firmly.

"But, Mizukage-sama…!" Ao, now without his Byakugan but still Mei's trusted right hand, voiced his concern.

"You all know this is a fight beyond the level of ordinary shinobi. Your interference will only lead to unnecessary casualties."

So, Terumi Mei has become the Fifth Mizukage, Deidara mused. It made sense—her experience and strength made her the obvious choice.

"Chōjūrō, be extremely cautious. Provide support and strike when the opportunity arises." With that, Mei's hands formed seals, her crimson lips parting as she unleashed a torrent of scorching acid.

"Lava Style: Melting Apparition Jutsu!"

Deidara grinned. "A party trick!"

"C2 Special Type: Weaver!"

From Deidara's hands, four round-bodied clay spiders emerged, each about the size of an adult human. Unlike his usual creations, these specialized models weren't designed to reproduce but to weave and spin.

The spiders spat white threads at incredible speed, quickly forming a thick web shield. When Mei's acidic attack collided with it, the sizzling sound filled the air, but the web held firm.

"Watch this!"

"Release! Hiramekarei!" Chōjūrō charged in from the flank. The chakra from Hiramekarei formed into a massive hammer, swinging down toward Deidara.

More clay weavers sprang into action, spinning another web to absorb the blow. The hammer struck the web, its power dissipating into the resilient threads. The web recoiled and wrapped around Chōjūrō, encasing him in a cocoon.

"Damn it!" Chōjūrō struggled against the white threads binding him.

"Chōjūrō!"

"Lava Style: Melting Dragon Bullet!" Mei conjured a massive dragon of molten acid, sending it hurtling toward Deidara.

In response, Deidara crafted a colossal clay serpent, launching it forward to intercept. The two creations collided in an explosive clash, sending acid splattering everywhere. Using the distraction, Deidara retreated behind his webs to avoid the corrosive spray.

"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!" Mei dashed forward, unleashing a high-pressure water blade that sliced cleanly through the web shield.

Deidara smirked. "Not bad."

"C2 Reinforced Type: Ten Thousand Serpents!"

A massive clay serpent emerged, dwarfing its predecessor. With the refinements in his animal designs, it was a spitting image of a real snake, save for its color. Its immense tail swung toward Mei and the freed Chōjūrō, forcing them to dodge.

From the ground, thin clay worms shot up like writhing tendrils, entangling the pair.

"Not so fast!"

Boom!

The explosive force revealed both were water clones. The real Mei and Chōjūrō reappeared from the lake's surface, using the churning waves caused by Kisame's battle to mask their approach.

"Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld!" Mei immobilized the clay serpent momentarily before unleashing another attack.

"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique!"

A whirl of acidic vapor erupted from Mei's lips, rapidly corroding everything in its path—trees, rocks, and even the air itself seemed to twist and warp.

The weaver spiders wove a defensive web, but Chōjūrō followed up.

"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"

The web fell apart under the precision of the water blade. Deidara only chuckled.

"Not bad teamwork."

"Now, let's see how you handle my art!"

"C2 Special Type: Fire Dragon!"

A towering clay dragon emerged. Though only about two stories tall, its thick throat and reinforced abdomen hinted at something ominous.

"Fire Dragon! Dragon Breath!"

With a low rumble, the dragon's stomach began to expand, swelling like a balloon ready to burst. Its jaws opened wide, releasing a devastating blast of fire and explosive force. The attack consumed Mei's acid mist and surged toward her and Chōjūrō.

"Water Style: Water Formation Pillar!" Mei reacted instantly, summoning a spiraling column of water to counter the dragon's fiery breath. The clash of elements created an immense cloud of steam, blanketing the area in white mist.

"Mizukage-sama!" The Kirigakure shinobi watching from the shore shouted in alarm.

On the lake's surface, Mei's expression was grim.

This level of destruction… it's already comparable to an S-rank jutsu. He's far stronger than when we last met. Now, he doesn't even need to rely on aerial superiority to dominate the battlefield.
