Chapter 254: Chapter 254 Maisha Edwards
Amy's Master
Fleming and Hailin were stunned, never expecting the magical pet this woman was looking for to be Amy.
Thinking back, they remembered hearing that Amy wasn't originally Su Nan's magical pet and that she indeed came from the wizarding golden age two thousand years ago.
In that case, this woman was likely Amy's true owner.
Fleming regained his composure, his expression slightly peculiar as he said, "The Star Alliance does have a magical creature named Amy, a white cat that has lived for at least two thousand years. If I'm not mistaken, she should be the magical pet you're looking for. Don't worry; she's doing very well."
Hearing this, the woman's face softened with a visible sense of relief.
"As long as she's safe."
"Could you take me to see her?"
Fleming hesitated, exchanging a glance with Hailin before replying, "I'm sorry, but I don't have the authority to make that decision. I'll need to report to our superiors."
A hint of surprise flashed in the woman's eyes.
Two fully-fledged wizards without decision-making authority? This Star Alliance wizarding organization seemed far stronger than she had anticipated.
"I understand. Thank you for your trouble."
Fleming retrieved his Star Book and began reporting the matter.
The woman observed the Star Book with a faintly curious expression.
A long-range projection communication tool? Likely part of the pervasive detection network she had sensed since entering the Starlight Continent.
It seemed this Star Alliance had achieved complete dominance over the entire continent.
For an elemental desert like the Starlight Continent to produce such a capable wizarding organization, she couldn't help but wonder what had transpired over the past two millennia.
In the Starlight Wizard Tower's laboratory, Su Nan used the Mage's Hand to carve the final stroke of a rune. A faint glow spread along the lines, flowing across the floor, walls, and ceiling. The entire room underwent a subtle transformation.
"All done."
He exhaled, a satisfied smile appearing on his face.
With this, the spatial planning upgrades were complete.
"The central crystal energy transmission system and the elemental pool have also been upgraded. Now, all that's left are the maze-lock protective energy field and the golem army."
"Unit 1, scan the wizard tower's status."
[Command received. Scanning... Scan complete.]

Over the past decade, Su Nan had upgraded the elemental pool to ultra-large, significantly enhancing energy capacity and recovery rates. The addition of an Energy Reserve Capacity feature allowed surplus energy to be stored for use during battles, addressing previous concerns about prolonged engagements.
Now, the pool could sustain 300 Spell Turret II units for sixteen full salvos at maximum energy. This unprecedented energy reserve had effectively solved the issue of long-range firepower consumption.
Beyond the elemental pool, Su Nan had also leveraged knowledge from the Obsidian Throne to enhance Tower Spirit 1 and Tower Spirit 2, improving their computational and analytical abilities. Tower Spirit 3 was next on his list.
Satisfied with the progress, Su Nan prepared to resume filling his talent crystal model. However, before he could begin, a communication from Lize interrupted him.
He sighed and teleported to his study, where Lize immediately relayed the news.
"The Obsidian Throne has sent another team to invade the Starlight Continent."
"What's the composition?"
"Twelve Tier-1 wizards."
Su Nan raised an eyebrow in mild surprise before quickly deducing their intent.
"They're trying to transmit information about the Starlight Continent back, aren't they?"
"Exactly," Lize confirmed. "These wizards specialize in concealment. The Star Eye didn't detect them until they acted, by which point they had already sent the information."
Su Nan narrowed his eyes but soon waved dismissively.
"It doesn't matter anymore."
The Star Eye wasn't infallible. Wizards adept at concealing their energy fluctuations could evade detection. In any case, the planar seal was only about a year from being fully restored. By then, the Star Alliance would be fully exposed to other wizarding factions. A slight head start on intelligence wouldn't change much.
"There's something else. Amy's owner has come looking for her."
Su Nan froze momentarily. "Amy's owner?"
"Fleming and Hailin encountered a woman, likely from another plane, claiming to be searching for a lost magical pet. The description and name match Amy exactly."
Lize detailed the encounter, leaving Su Nan momentarily dumbfounded.
If this woman could describe Amy's name and her golden bell, she was almost certainly Amy's original owner.
Su Nan connected to the Star Eye Network and quickly pinpointed Amy's location.
In a flash, he appeared beside her.
Amy, basking on the back of a Hidden Dragon, was startled at first but quickly brightened up upon recognizing him.
"Meow, Su Nan, what brings you here?"
Su Nan smiled. "I've come to tell you some good news."
"What good news, meow?"
"Your owner has come."
Amy froze for a moment before her eyes widened in delight.
"My owner is here? Really, meow? My owner really came to find me, meow?"
The little creature was so excited she nearly slipped off the Hidden Dragon's back.
"Most likely," Su Nan said, catching Amy in his hand. "If it's true, you can see for yourself when we go."
"Then let's go now, meow!" Amy said eagerly, hopping onto Su Nan's shoulder.
After two thousand years, she could finally see the master she had been longing for. Her excitement was overwhelming, leaving her unable to say anything more.
Seeing her anticipation, Su Nan didn't delay. He immediately took Amy through a teleportation array from Dragonwood to the transport hub in Flashlight City. From there, they flew toward their destination.
At full speed, it took them less than two minutes to arrive.
Upon seeing Su Nan, Fleming and Hailin immediately bowed in respect.
"Lord Su Nan."
Before Su Nan could respond, an excited voice rang out near his ear.
"Master!"
The next moment, his shoulder felt lighter as Amy vanished, using her spatial abilities to leap directly into the woman's arms, clutching her tightly.
"Master! Amy missed you so much! You've finally come back, meow!"
The woman's soft gaze turned affectionate as she gently stroked Amy's fur. Her voice was calm and soothing. "I'm sorry, Amy, for leaving you alone on the Starlight Continent for so long. But I've returned now, and I won't leave you again."
Her clear voice carried a strange power, making those who heard it feel an inexplicable sense of peace. Under its influence, Amy gradually calmed down. Sniffing softly, she remembered Su Nan standing nearby. Tugging at the woman's sleeve, she pointed her paw at him.
"Master, that's Su Nan. After I woke up, he's the one who's been taking care of me. He's a very kind person, meow."
The woman raised her gaze to meet Su Nan's, giving a slight nod. "Thank you for taking care of Amy."
"You're welcome."
Su Nan observed the woman carefully.
Her energy signature was extraordinarily faint, no more than that of a wizard apprentice. Even a Tier-1 wizard wouldn't be able to discern her true strength.
However, Su Nan could sense an abyss-like depth to her soul, an aura far beyond comprehension.
His thoughts solidified.
"Master, let me tell you—"
Amy chattered animatedly, telling her master about Su Nan and his accomplishments.
When the woman heard that Su Nan was a Tier-2 crystallized wizard and the founder of the Star Alliance, her gaze toward him changed subtly, carrying a hint of surprise.
Finally, she introduced herself.
"My name is Myesha Edwards."
"Su Nan Arneste," Su Nan replied, adding silently to himself, This is a proud woman.
Though Myesha's demeanor was warm and polite, Su Nan could discern an undercurrent of aloofness.
It wasn't arrogance or pretense but the natural bearing of someone at the pinnacle of power—a true spirit wizard.
Spirit wizards might treat ordinary wizards courteously, but no one could reasonably expect them to show respect. This kind of dignified humility was indicative of refinement, grace, or decorum but never equality.
Su Nan understood this perfectly and bore no grudge.
After all, when dealing with the apprentice wizards of the Star Alliance, his own attitude was no different.
Perhaps it was Su Nan's status as a Tier-2 wizard and his achievements as the founder of the Star Alliance that earned him Myesha's unusual gesture of introducing herself.
"Amy is my most precious magical pet."
Myesha gently stroked Amy's head, eliciting a contented expression from the little creature.
"At the time, I was in danger. To protect Amy, I left her behind and put her into a deep sleep, intending to retrieve her after resolving the crisis. But by the time I escaped, the Starlight Continent was sealed, and it took until now for me to return."
"Amy has a pure and simple heart. Living alone on the Starlight Continent must have been difficult for her. It's thanks to your care that she's been able to live peacefully all this time."
Myesha turned to Su Nan, her expression sincere as she thanked him again.
"I'm deeply grateful for all you've done for Amy. As a token of appreciation, if you have any requests, I'll do my best to fulfill them."
Before Su Nan could respond, Amy eagerly chimed in.
"That's great, meow! Master, help Su Nan deal with those bad guys from the Obsidian Throne!"
"The Obsidian Throne?" Myesha's face showed surprise as her gaze flicked to Su Nan. Comprehension dawned quickly. "The Obsidian Throne began their invasion of the Starlight Continent early?"
"Yes," Su Nan admitted. "They started more than ten years ago. So far, we've clashed multiple times."
"Su Nan even destroyed two of their wizard towers!" Amy added proudly.
Myesha's gaze grew even more intrigued.
"You have your own wizard tower?"
"A small one," Su Nan replied calmly.
"Even so, that's impressive."
Myesha understood the challenges of building a wizard tower, especially in an elemental desert like the Starlight Continent.
This young wizard exceeded her expectations.
With her extensive knowledge and experie
nce, it didn't take Myesha long to piece together the Star Alliance's current predicament. Her eyes glimmered slightly.
"Perhaps I can help you," she said softly. "I forgot to mention earlier—I'm from the Codex of Wisdom."
