The Tales of the Forgotten Frozen Hell

[Master Of Sins]

It's the same title that Verkoth called me by.

"What do you know about that Deeno?"

I asked him.

"It's not yet time to tell you Zai, but i will surely reveal it when the day comes."

Wait.

Zai?

When the hell did he ever call me Zai.

I look at Deeno's face and i see, he's serious. Way too serious. He so serious that he's using my real name to address me. I shouldn't really interrogate him further maybe.

"Well, i can't really do anything if you won't tell me. I guess I'll have to approach The Great King directly after all."

I said in a nonchalant manner.

Seeing my attitude Deeno also became a bit relaxed and the overall atmosphere became less tense but it was still awkward. But all the awkwardness in the room was washed by Elysa yet another outburst of excitement.

"Hey! Everyone! Look at this!"

We approach the window where Elysa was standing. I was baffeled by the sight before me.

It was a type of an old looking yet green banyan tree, not just a regular green tree but a very very VERY large green tree. Infact it was so large and huge that the width of the branches would be twice the length of Mount Everest. And there were atleast more than tens of thousands of branches. As we fly by this tree, i could see that this tree, literally had around hundreds of forests inside of it.

"What in the...."

I gasped as my jaw dropped at the sheer size of this monolithic tree in front of me.

Elysa saw my surprised face and smiled like a child. She then explained.

"This tree right here Zai, is [The Tree of Origin], it is one of the reasons that life in this Frozen Hell is sustained. This tree provides all the nutrients in form of mana and also absorbs waste from the entire worlds."

"Woah... This is really amazing!" I gasped like a child.

As we approached the tree i could feel vitality inside of me as if all the cells of my body were filled with energy. It was amazing.

"What is happening? Why is aur here so refreshing?"

"It's simple Zai, due to this tree, the mana around this area is the purest in all of Frozen Hell. That's why [The Forest of Youth] has most of the hospitals and medical care units in the entirety of Frozen Hell."

This is really amazing. This tree are actually like lungs of this land.

"Hey Zai did you know that if only 10 leaves of this tree were to be taken to our earth, the earth would have enough oxygen for the next ten thousands of years!" Luke told me.

I can't know the credibility of this fact but if Luke says it then i guess it's true.

After a while we start going down rapidly, in less then 15 minutes we reach the base of this huge tree. There, i see a long queue of what looked like people trying to get inside the tree? In a curious manner I ask Elysa's;

"Hey why's there's a long queue there?"

"That's how you get to the capital of [The Forest of Youth]."

"What? There's a city inside of this tree?"

"Yes there is, it is the most diverse and robust city on the Frozen Hell. Even I, myself have lived and seen the beauty of this city."

Woah.. it really is amazing. The more i explore this place more surprises I get.

"By the way Luke, in comparison to earth, what's the size of Frozen Hell?"

Luke pondered in his head for a minute and answered

"As far as i have researched and experienced, Frozen Hell has about six times more surface land than earth and due to the ricn amount of mana in this land, biomass is ten times more than earth."

It really is great. I have no words to describe this.

But wait.

Now that I think about it...

"Hey, Elysa but why are we here?"

"Oh sorry I forgot to tell you but due to the sudden postponing of Rosa's execution and calling of [the red table meeting] we actually have a lot of things to discuss with the kingdom authorities. That's why we are here, as the capital district of each Providence has an official institute where we can contact the Kingdom's authority directly."

Oh I see. That sounds like a reasonable explanation. I wonder just what would happen in the future.

After a while we get back to our places as the carriage now slowly descents, I sit by the window and look outside.

At first it was looking like a big swarm of ants, but looking closely they were actually cities. The hollow space inside the tree was used entirely as residential land. Now that I think about it, the area inside this tree, was literally biggen than an entire country!

On the far edge of the tree, there was big castle City. I think it's the same capital district that Elysa told me about. Scattered throughout this region were many big towns and villages, roughly forty to sixty in number. That were the number only visible from the air. I really can't fathom the amount of small villages or tribal communities present in this dense forest.

As we descend lower into this cavity, suddenly a pulsing pain surges through my head. It was akin to a sharp migraine. I fell down from the chair and wriggle on the floor. Elysa and Luke came running on hearing the thud sound.

"Zai! Are you okay? Zai, answer me!" Elysa asked me in a worrisome manner.

Luke quickly activated his healing abilities, due to which I was able to endure this pain for some more time.

Suddenly along with a poof sound Verkoth was summoned in his animal form and he sat on my chest.

"Hey, brat, stay still for a second."

Verkoth ordered me. I try my best to endure and subside this pain.

Verkoth sighed and closed his eyes. Following that, he chanted something. As he finished, my whole body began to feel lighter and lighter as if I was floating.. only to realise that i was actually floating. Luke held my hand to prevent me from hitting the ceiling and started to drag me down, after a bit of hustle, I was finally again able to move freely and this time ; without pain.

Verkoth sat on my shoulder, sighing as if he's just done the most tiresome deed in this universe.

Luke snatched him and tightly held him in his hand and questioned

"Tell me you bastard! What the hell was that?"

Verkoth looked at Luke in a displeased manner and said while sighing

"Kid, I have done that vermin a favour by giving him protection against [Gluttony].

"Protection against Gluttony?"

Both Luke and Elysa said in unison.

Verkoth again looked disappointed and sighed-

"His powers and Mana stems from me, meaning he has Primodial mana. Primodial mana is not just any type of mana normally found here. The mana present here is the diluted, unpure version of the pure mana that existed during the [Ages of Riegn|. Now, being sin of Envy, I have to be careful while entering the domain of another sin. Thus, i require special protection. But since, my personality and Mana is already absorbed inside of this vermin, i am nothing but an ordinary summon. So the price of entering another Sin's domain is being paid by him."

Verkoth explained the situation. But seeing the confused expression of Elysa and Luke, he knew that this was not enough to convince them. As he thought of another explanation, a voice was heard from behind them.

"If it's all about Sin's domain, then why am I not being affected?"

Deeno asked while raising his eyebrows.

"As I said earlier, it's about the mana inside of him. Inside him is my own, pure Primodial mana. Unlike you guys who have inherited your sin's mana from your predecessor or some other unpure source. I am the source of my own mana."

Elysa and Luke's expression suddenly changed as if they understood each and everything. Deeno was also seemed to be convinced.

After a while I woke up to Verkoth on my chest.

"I guess you have adapted to the barrier by now, huh?"

Barrier? I don't understand shit he's talking about.

I see Luke sitting by me, as he saw me wake up he activated his healing abilities to ease my pain.

After a while Luke explained everything to me about Primodial mana and sin's domain.

"So I guess now I don't have to worry about going into another sin's domain right Verkoth?" I asked him.

"Well, for now your body seems to have adapted to Gluttony's mana. I don't know about other Sin's but I guess you have affinity for its mana. Now that I think about it this vermin might have an affinity for all of Sin's mana!"

I guess it's another good thing. Not that I understand it though.

It was another half an hour before we land on the gates of the main castle City. So I sit by window again looking at the vast plains we just reached after crossing the forest. I even spot a small village town.

But something was off.

There was strange aura leaking out of that village. In the next second the whole village area suddenly exploded in loud boom.

Even I was startled and fell to the floor.

"What the fuck is happening?"
